Alycia Lane Allegedly Hits Female Police Officer in the Face

Anyone remember Alycia Lane, the news anchor from KYW-TV who made headlines this year when she sent photos of herself in a bikini to a married man?

Well let's just say she's making headlines again, but this time for a whole different reason.

It appears that the controversial newsreader may be in hot water once again.

Media reports state that Lane allegedly hit a female police officer, causing swelling and minor cuts to the face, after a dispute in New York City last night.

The cause of the dispute remains unknown.

A spokeswoman from Lane's news station, Joanne Calabria, said that management was "very concerned for Alycia" and they "are still trying to sort out exactly what happened."

Lane, 35, appeared in court where she pleaded not guilty to assault. The news anchor "denies striking anyone," her lawyer David Smith said in a statement released today.

"We're confident that after a full investigation of the facts she'll be cleared of these charges," he adds.

Alycia is set to re-appear in court in April.
