Joe Swash has been crowned King of the Jungle tonight as the winner of I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.

The Eastenders actor was in the final with George Takei (who came third) and Martina Navratilova (who came second), and when I polled you earlier today Joe emerged as your favourite to win.

He was so thrilled to win, he gave Ant a great big kiss on the lips as he took to his throne! In his interview he spoke about how much he loved George, and how he couldn't help but kiss him all the time!

Emma and Matt Willis presented him with his crown, and all his fellow contestants were there to cheer him on, as his mum greeted him at the end of the red carpet.

I'm A Celeb: Nicola McLean regrets not complaining over David Van Day

viernes, 5 de diciembre de 2008 |

Nicola McLean regrets not asking producers to remove David Van Day for his "sexual advances".

The 27-year-old glamour model said she was horrified when he slapped her bottom and washed mud off her body during a challenge. She added: "What he did was degrading. He touched me inappropriately. Our contract says we are not to touch one another in a sexual way.

"I didn't do anything about it at the time. But I am kicking myself now.

"When he asked me to have a jungle romance for the cameras, I felt sick."

Via mirror.co.uk

Nicola McLean isn't at all shy and stripped off in the I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here! jungle yesterday.

The page 3 model seems to be willing to do anything to raise her profile and put on a tiny polka dot bikini as she went for a cool down in the stream.

Simon Webbe might have vowed to remain faithful to his X Factor singer girlfriend Layla but even he will have to look at Nicola's breasts sometime.

She will no doubt be using every opportunity to gain more male fans - at home and in the camp.

A source told The Sun: "Our eyebrows were raised when Nicola stripped off. She's extremely canny and has made it no secret that she's desperate to win.

"You can't blame a girl for trying!"

The public have voted for Nicola to face the first bushtucker trial against Joe Swash so she'll have to perform well if she wants her team to eat tonight.

Joe is the favourite to win the Ice Scream Van challenge as Nicola is scared of creepy crawlies so will struggle to eat the icecream with insect toppings.

I'm A Celebrity: stars to enter camp on Saturday

sábado, 15 de noviembre de 2008 |

The stars of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! 2008 are due to enter camp on Saturday - and there are some shocks in store for them on arrival.

As in previous years, the camp has once again been split in two - this year with the theme of Home and Away.

And while those in the Home camp will get to sleep in beds in a London bus and enjoy meals of bangers and mash if they win Bushtucker trials, those in the Away camp will be forced to sleep on a rat-infested floor and dine on kangaroo meat.

They will also be provided with a camper van to store their belongings, but will not be allowed to sleep in it.

Those celebs who break the rules, meanwhile, face being confined to a filthy jail suspended in mid-air, with only basic facilities.

And show producers are promising some of the hardest Bushtucker trials ever - with on site medic Bob McCarron saying that he grilled the celebs on their worst fears prior to their arrival in camp.

"Nicola McLean is terrified of everything," he told the Mirror, "and Joe Swash has said he's up for anything. But I reckon he'll be vomiting back to camp after the trials."

The former EastEnder is currently the bookies favourite to win the show, with Paddy Power offering odds of 7-2 on him being crowned King Of The Jungle.

Star Trek veteran George Takei is second favourite, followed by Esther Rantzen and Simon Webbe at 6-1.

Smooth-talking politician Robert Kilroy Silk is the outsider to win at 20-1.

The show begins on ITV1 at 9pm on Sunday night.

Cerys Matthews dumps Marc Bannerman

domingo, 17 de febrero de 2008 |

Cerys Matthews has decided to end her relationship with Marc Bannerman.

The couple fell for each other when they shared the I'm A Celebrity jungle together in November last year. They were torn apart when Marc was voted out of the programme, but once the show was over, the pair declared that they were "in love" and even discussed having children.

However, pals have now revealed that Cerys got bored of the relationship and dumped Marc by phone two days before Valentine's Day. She now wishes to focus on her music career.

"The passion fizzled out and they've hardly seen each other in the last month. All the talk of having babies and settling down turned to dust," a source told the Sunday Mirror. "She realised the relationship was going nowhere and wants to concentrate on her tour, so she told Marc they were finished this week."

Marc's mother Dolores Noronha confirmed: "It's finished with Cerys. He's very upset, very down."

In an interview at the end of last year, Cerys' ex-boyfriend Seth Riddle warned: "She rushes into everything - she did the same thing with me. She's the sort of person who's prone to changing her mind a lot."

Marc Bannerman 'Cheated On Ex With Hooker'

domingo, 9 de diciembre de 2007 |

I'm A Celebrity star Marc Bannerman is facing claims he cheated on his ex-girlfriend with a prostitute in a drug-fuelled tryst.

Marc split with Sarah Matravers after falling in love with singer Cerys Matthews on the show, but is now facing sordid details of his indiscretions during his two year relationship with the actress.

Prostitute Shann Fallon claims the ex-Eastenders actor hired her this summer whilst Sarah was away from the home they shared together, taking cocaine and cannabis with him.

However, she tells the News Of The World sex with Marc was impossible.

"I could tell what he wanted most was affection. We spent a while just smooching and cuddling like a regular couple but there was no arousing him," she claims.

"Marc apologised and told me he'd taken too much coke. In the end we went back to just cuddling...and doing more drugs."

Matravers - who had been planning a family with Bannerman - has meanwhile claimed Marc and Cerys' new relationship will end in tears.

"Thank God I'm not carrying his child. He and Cerys will probably end up in rehab. And he's bound to cheat," she says.

I'm a Celebrity may be over, but the romance between Marc Bannerman and Cerys Matthews may well be about to begin.

The pair, who struck up a very cute and affectionate friendship in the jungle, are now facing up to the outside world as viewers wait to see if they will get together for real.

And Cerys, who is divorced with two children, told the News of the World that she has "found a soulmate" in ex-EastEnders star Marc.

"I'm in love with Marc and I think he feels the same. I'd like us to spend the rest of our lives together," she said.

Marc was also quoted by the Daily Mirror as cooing: "I hope to settle down and have children with the right woman. I think Cerys is that woman."

But while the pair seems to be falling head over heels for each other, Marc's early eviction from the jungle left him facing up to now ex-girlfriend Sarah Matravers, who reportedly moved out of their home and dumped him after his behaviour.

Meanwhile, winner Christopher Biggins commented on the relationship, telling the Sunday Mirror that he would love to be matron of honour if the two were to get married.

Lack of male celeb hunks forced her to eye up the security team

She may be dating footballer Marcus Bent, but that didn't stop Gemma Atkinson from eyeing up the off-screen talent on I'm A Celeb.

The actress, 23, reveals her sex drive rocketed during her stint in the jungle - so she scoured the jungle for testosterone.

'The best thing was the security guards!' says Gem. 'They were dressed in camouflage gear and had their faces painted so they could hide in the bush.

'They were not allowed to speak. They used to walk by with fingers on their lips going: “Shhh!”

Gemma confesses she resorted to drastic measures to feel their biceps.

'They were massive and I liked them!' she tells the Daily Star. 'I used to get lost so they would come to my rescue and I could have a good look at them. I also liked to smell them!'

But Gemma, who admits she didn't wash for three days straight, says she was never tempted to flirt with any of her campmates.

'I didn't feel sexy in there,' she says. 'I think it's because in the jungle everyone was so smelly. There was no one I wanted to have sex with.

Biggins crowned king of the jungle

sábado, 1 de diciembre de 2007 |

Actor Christopher Biggins is celebrating being crowned "king of the jungle" after the public voted him the winner of this year's "I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here" reality television show.

Flamboyant Biggins broke down in tears after learning he had clinched the title, beating off competition from runner-up Janice Dickinson, an American former supermodel, and Jason "J" Brown, former 5ive singer, placed third.

"It's been a wonderful, wonderful experience and I can't believe that I'm here, that I've done it," Biggins said after taking his place on the jungle throne.

"I've made wonderful friends and I've done wonderful things that I never thought I would do. Unbelievable fun, it was just the best."

He was later greeted by his partner Neil, who he wed in a civil partnership ceremony in London last year.

Dickinson likened being on the show to child-birth, saying: "This is the most difficult thing I've experienced."

The final, aired on British television on Friday night, followed a day in the Australian bush in which the three remaining contestants each had to endure a trial.

Biggins was given the "bushtucker bonanza" in which he ate a witchetty grub, crocodile's foot, three cockroaches, a kangaroo penis and a kangaroo testicle.

"I'm really a breast man," he joked while eating the penis.

The Welsh singer at the centre of a television love triangle has been voted off reality show I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here.

Catatonia singer Cerys Matthews left the Australian jungle last night to find the evicted actor she had flirted with throughout the show was not there to greet her.

Marc Bannerman, who had a long-term girlfriend when he entered the jungle, was expected to fly to Australia to meet Matthews when she was voted off the show. However, after a week of turmoil, in which his partner actress Sarah Matravers left him and sold a damning story to a tabloid, Bannerman decided to remain in the UK.

This morning, Matthews told GMTV she was “surprised” Bannerman was not there to meet her when she emerged from 19 days in the jungle.

Speaking from Queensland, she told interviewer Kate Garraway: “I was a little surprised because I had a letter saying that he might come and greet me. But actually, I think it’s probably a very good idea. Things in the jungle are so intense, your emotions are really raw and I really just want to relax, see to my kids who are amazing and gorgeous and get home safely and take things real slow.”

Asked if she wanted to see Bannerman, the singer responded: “Yeah, definitely”.

Matthews went on to defend her relationship with the former EastEnders actor: “Well first of all we’re 11 people in a really intense situation. In all innocence, we were getting on really well as friends - it was me, Anna, Mark. He was friendly to everybody, he was generous, wanted to help everybody out. And the moment when our friendship was getting a little bit intense, we pulled back a little because we didn’t want hurt anybody.”

Bannerman, who was evicted a week ago, had earlier written to the singer telling her he would come back to Australia if she wanted him to.

"There are many problems in London and I've had to go back to try and sort them out - but I may well return to greet you when you come out, if that is your wish. Marc," he wrote.

She responded: "I'd love him to come out if that's what he thinks is a good idea, because he knows all the answers now."

There are now only three contestants left in the jungle. Actor Christopher Biggins, former boyband Jason “J” Brown and the woman who claims to have been the world’s first supermodel - Janice Dickinson, are competing to win tonight’s final.

Cerys Matthews has confessed she's "excited" about planning her wedding to fellow 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!' contestant Marc Bannerman.

The singer - who was flirting constantly with the former 'EastEnders' actor before he was booted out of the jungle - was talking with fellow campers Anna Ryder Richardson and Christopher Biggins about planning the couple's nuptials.

Cerys said: "Don't, can you imagine? I can't let myself think that. I know it's just so exciting."

The former Catatonia star - who has two children with ex-husband Seth Riddle - then said: "I almost have to put that aside for a minute. Just concentrate on this, but have that smiling in the back of my head."

While he was in the jungle, Marc was still dating his girlfriend Sarah Matravers but the pair ended their relationship soon after he got voted out because of his flirting with Cerys.

Aroused while showering

It has now been revealed footage of Marc getting sexually aroused while showering with Cerys in the jungle was censored by TV bosses.

The 34-year-old actor got an erection while the pair cooled down together, but producers decided not to show it as they didn't want to cause Sarah any further embarrassment.

Cerys, 38, also revealed to her fellow campers how Marc had told her he was feeling randy while he was in there.

She said: "Marc felt randy. He told me. That's what he said."

Meanwhile, there was no eviction last night (27.11.07) so Cerys is left to battle to be crowned king or queen of the jungle with Biggins, Janice Dickinson, Jason 'J' Brown and Gemma Atkinson.

Ryder Richardson leaves the jungle

miércoles, 28 de noviembre de 2007 |

Former 'Changing Rooms' presenter Anna Ryder Richardson has become the latest contestant to be evicted from 'I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!'.

Richardson lost out in the public vote to former boyband member Jason 'J' Brown.

Speaking to hosts Ant and Dec after her eviction, Ryder Richardson said that she was "really excited" to be going home.

"I can't believe I lasted that long," she said.

When asked about former Catatonia singer Cerys Matthews and former 'EastEnders' star Marc Bannerman, Richardson said that all the duo did was "chat about pizza and films" but also said that she thought they felt quite strongly for each other.

Earlier on the show former 'Hollyoaks' star Gemma Atkinson and Brown won three meals for the camp in the 'Bushtucker Trial' called 'Terror Train', where they went through a dark tunnel and were bombarded with cockroaches, ants, meal worms and eel slime.

There was consternation later in the camp when the contestants were given a crocodile to cook.

I'm A Celebrity - Anna Ryder Richardson is next to go

martes, 27 de noviembre de 2007 |

After 16 nights in the Australian jungle, home makeover star Anna Ryder Richardson has become the latest camper to be booted off I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!

The former Changing Rooms presenter found herself in the bottom two alongside former 5ive singer Jason "J" Brown.

But she wasn't too disheartened upon hearing her name though, hugging her fellow contestants and smiling. She later told Ant and Dec that she was really excited to be leaving camp.

"I can`t believe I lasted that long," she said.

Referring to the night she spent in the "pit" with panto star Christopher Biggins to win the group a cooked breakfast, Ant and Dec told her about the 200 rats which were surrounding her.

"You are joking," she said. "All for eggs and bacon? Am I mad?"

Anna also earlier walked across a plank above a ravine to receive a video message from home.

‘I’m a Celebrity’ star Gemma Atkinson has revealed the secret of her perfectly toned body In an interview with Closer Magazine, she admitted: “I’m a gym freak. I train five days a week and eat little and often.” She added: “I’ll also snack on Ryvita or chocolate to perk me up.”

Gemma will find it difficult keeping to her strict health regime in the jungle. She’s already admitted she’s worried she’ll end up a ‘gaunt skeleton’ on the contestant’s strict diet of beans and rice.

No doubt she’ll fill up on all her favourites when she returns to England. She told Closer: “My weakness is my Gran’s macaroni cheese.”

Meanwhile, Gemma, 23, who has previously dated Wigan Athletic footballer Marcus Bent, has revealed that she’s confessed that boyfriends dump her because she’s not affectionate.

“I’m told in every relationship that I’m not affectionate,’ she admitted to jungle pal John Burton-Race.

‘The guys always says I don’t give enough. I don’t even put a kiss on a text message. I don’t tell him what he means to me.’

However, Gemma insisted that she does care about the men in her life, she just can’t find a way of showing it.

‘Although I feel it, I struggle to show it,’ she says. ‘And every relationship I have been in has broken down for that reason.’

But John did offer some advice to Gemma– telling her there wasn’t much she could about it.

‘If it’s not in your make up,’ he advised, ‘there’s nothing you can change.’

Cerys Matthews and Marc Bannerman are getting so close she has started feeding him and tucking him into bed.

The Welsh singer and ex EastEnders actor have been flirting for days in the Australian jungle on ITV’s I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.

Matthews hinted to Anna Ryder Richardson that she was worried about how their relationship was being perceived. But the designer said: “He’s just a very good friend. You’ve not done anything. “He is just a very good friend forever.”

Meanwhile a close friend of the singer has appeared on GMTV to defend her actions. Sarah Gowland dismissed the romance as a close friendship.

She told GMTV: “I think they are great friends and it’s nice to see she’s got a good friend in there for support. “She is a very friendly person. I think she is doing a great job. I don’t think she knows he (Bannerman) has a girlfriend, as he hasn’t actually spoken to Cerys about it.”The family are really proud of her. She is coming across really well.”

She added that she would “maybe” like to see the pair get together, if he was single.

Bannerman’s girlfriend Sarah Matravers has flown to Australia to confront him over his behaviour. Matthews, Bannerman and Ryder Richardson had some time out from the campsite when they took part in the Bush Battle.

Tied to a post, they were forced to hold onto a pole for as long as possible - or risk being covered in vomit-scented gunk. Matthews was the first to let go, before Bannerman gave in leaving Ryder Richardson immune from eviction.

It was a day of drama for the campers as ex-footballer Rodney Marsh slipped while out collecting logs for the fire, injuring his knee.

He spent a night in hospital but was soon back in camp enjoying being looked after by his fellow contestants. Supermodel Janice Dickinson and Five star J had the ride of their life during the Uneasy Rider bushtucker trial.

The pair had to drive a motorbike 100ft over a ravine and bash down stars. “I’m not good at driving,” admitted Dickinson so J took to the wheel and they managed to secure ten out of eleven stars. “I just really loved it. I really enjoyed it,” J said afterwards.

The cheeky pair pretended they had come back empty-handed before admitting they had won ten meals for camp.

I´m A Celebrity - Marc´s Relationship Over

martes, 20 de noviembre de 2007 |

Marc’s heartbroken girlfriend, or ex now, Sarah Matravers is set to enter the jungle, where she will be forced to confront Marc and his new romance – Cerys.

During Sarah’s journey to Australia, Marc and Cerys shared their first kiss together, which Sarah, understandably, is furious about. It’s the thing she could not forgive her partner of two years for.

Sarah has stated that their relationship is now finished.

The 34 year old former EastEnders star, Marc Bannerman, was shown flirting all last week with the Catatonia singer, Cerys, we also watched as they snuggled and got cozy together.

Sarah said “I’ll fly home alone, change the locks, cut up his clothes, throw all his stuff out and never speak to him again. I have my dignity.” - According to the sun.

In an emotional chat, actress Sarah told the sun: “My life is on hold right now – I want to throttle him, I want to cut off his kangaroo balls. Marc and I live together and we have a proper life together, so of course I’m worried. “I made a big joke out of it at the beginning of the week but this has gone on long enough. It’s upsetting. I hear they’ve been sharing quite a lot. “She’s been serenading him and I hear he sang, There May Be Trouble Ahead – well there might be now.”

Sarah, who has been with Marc for two years, said she was sure he would stay faithful. She said: “Before Marc entered the jungle, he told the Press: ‘I’m not looking for love. I’m loved-up with my girlfriend.’ I have been reading that quote over and over.” But the pair have had a rocky relationship — he ended up in court in March 2006 charged with assaulting her. The case was later dropped.

Gemma Atkinson strips off in the jungle

Glamour girl gets wet on I'm A Celebrity

Gemma Atkinson stripped down to her bikini last night as temperatures in the Aussie jungle soared.

The I'm A Celebrity contestant got her kit off for an all-over body wash. She frolicked in a freshwater creek near camp with fellow contestant Cerys Matthews, who flaunted her own assets in a skimpy red bikini.

But male fans may be disappointed – the ex-Hollyoaks actress has vowed not to get naked on camera.

Meanwhile, acid-tongued Janice Dickinson failed the latest Bushtucker Trial against chef John Burton Race, 50.

The supermodel, 52, refused to eat crocodile penis for the task.

'My name is Janice Dickinson but I'm not going to eat a croc dick,' she said.

But brave John wolfed it down to win his team a luxury meal.

I'm A Celebrity Girls In First Night Bust-up

miércoles, 14 de noviembre de 2007 |

Raging Janice Threatens To Cut Off Lynne's Boobs, Fry Them Up And Eat Them

FIERY Janice Dickinson has claimed she wanted to stab I'm a Celebrity rival Lynne Franks.

The former model and TV presenter fell out with Lynne, the PR guru who inspired Absolutely Fabulous, over who would try to persuade Malcolm McLaren to stay in the jungle.

And while the Sex Pistols' former manager branded the show "fake" as he walked out, the bad feeling between Janice, 52, and Lynne, 59, appears all too real.

Their next big blow-out came over cooking the dinner on their first night in camp.

Janice stunned former boyband member Jason "J" Brown by telling him: "I'm going to stab her (Lynne) in the middle of the night. You don't think I'm kidding, I'll eat her t***. I'll fry up those big old boobs."

J replied: "You two have got to have a fight and sort it out. You're both going at each other and winding each other up."

Earlier, J and Hollyoaks actress Gemma Atkinson looked exhausted after sitting through a non-stop bicker-fest between Janice and Lynne as they cooked dinner.

Janice called Lynne a freak and a shrew, while Lynne said she didn't care.

The row started on the first night in the Australian rainforest after Lynne suggested they save some food for the following evening.

Janice said: "I don't mind you suggesting things Lynne, but can I have an opinion over here about what I stick in my gob?"

Moments later, as the pair were cooking, Lynne had a go at Janice for the way she put the vegetables into the pot.

Later, the pair appeared to have kissed and made up although as the series wears on, that could change.

Janice's fearsome reputation took a bit of a knock in the first Bushtucker Trial of the series when she went up against actor Marc Bannerman and cried: "I'm A Celebrity ...Get Me Out Of Here!"

The contestants have been split into two camps, Croc Creek and Snake Rock, and will compete for who gets proper food supplies.

Janice and Marc were both strapped to giant wooden cog wheels above a little railway line.

Carriages containing eels, fish guts, meal worms stopped underneath them and they had to collect stars from within the nasty contents.

But Snake Rock were left starving after Janice failed to win any stars.

Victorious Marc said: "I'd have had to hang my head in shame had I gone back without a meal."

Croc Creek - Marc, interior designer Anna Ryder Richardson, ex-footballer Rodney Marsh, singer Cerys Matthews and chef John Burton Race - were terrified on their way into the jungle after having to bungee jump out of a helicopter.

The ordeal left Anna in tears. The Snake Rock camp, Janice, Gemma, Lynne and J, successfully made their way into jungle first by helicopter and then by kayak.

Via dailyrecord.co.uk

Don't you love it when even the "celebrities" don't know who each other are? The brilliant thing this series is no one knows who anyone is. Mind you it's no indicator of stardom - even showbiz legends like Michael Barrymore can be hard for the youth of today to recognise (didn't Chantelle think he was Tom Hanks or something?) When Katie arrived at Brat Camp (Snake Rock, do try to keep up), Lynne quietly ID'd her for Janice: “She was in The Apprentice…she was highly competitive.”

Other stuff you missed, or saw, included the Rock gang forfeiting their dinner as punishment for breaking into the chest and eating chocolate biscuits. Lynne suggested that they should share the four meals, but Gemma ever-dlplomatic pointed out: “We knew that would backfire when we did it.”

Then Janice, who I'm liking more and more with each passing minute, said, “I didn’t know. Okay, if the games are going to begin, I’m taking off my mic in a moratorium." The games? In a moratorium?!! Man, it's like Saw IV. Except harder to watch.

I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here

lunes, 12 de noviembre de 2007 |

While Celebrity Big Brother has left a bad taste in viewers' mouths, there's something about watching celebs munch fish eyes and crocodile penis that never fails to bring a huge grin to our faces.

And scrolling back over the past six series, it's incredible how many all-time favourite TV moments this show has spawned - each one of them totally unpredictable.

With Malcolm McLaren walking out before he went in, the remaining celebrities are Hollyoaks babe Gemma Atkinson, ex-footballer Rodney Marsh, Changing Rooms' Anna Ryder Richardson, Catatonia singer Cerys Matthews, former EastEnder Marc Bannerman, 'J' Brown formerly of Five, supermodel Janice Dickinson, chef John Burton Race and PR guru Lynne Franks - but don't be surprised to see some extra arrivals.

Tonight we join Ant and Dec to see what terrifying stunt the producers have come up with this year for getting them into the jungle, although if last year's winner Matt Willis had his way, they'd all have to eat a kangaroo's bumhole before they could even pass go. Matt and his fiancee Emma Griffiths will be fronting the companion show I'm A Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here ... NOW! over on ITV2.

Producers have promised that this years' trials will be the toughest yet - but they always say that and really that's only a small part of why we love this show.

We watch it for those unscriptable moments like Paul Burrell's squeals, Natalie Appleton yelping "I touched a tree!" the mad, mad world of David Gest, Dean Gaffney's freak-out and the general Insania of watching spoiled celebs with too much time on their hand.

This year's jungle dwellers have a lot to live up to.
