Numerous reports from important media sources wrote that Jamie Lynn Spears, 17, was eight weeks pregnant. The former "Zoey 101" star had allegedly “cried her eyes out” when a pregnancy test she took home turned out to be positive. According to a report from The National Enquirer, Jamie Lynn and her mother were “hysterical” about the unexpected occurrence.
"Neither of them knows what to do, but for now they're trying to keep the news from getting out," a source told the tabloid.

It is thought that an employee copied the pics and is attempting to sell them on.
Police are investigating as Jamie Lynn is still underage despite having baby Maddie.
Parents of Jamie Lynn fans are worried for the young star and hope the police can stop the person selling the photos before they get published.

Weeks after giving birth to daughter Maddie Briann, Jamie Lynn Spears is showing off the newborn, sharing memories of a "perfect" delivery and longing to be a Southern soccer mom.
Spears and fiance Casey Aldridge welcomed Maddie at a hospital in McComb, Miss., on June 19. The younger sister of Britney Spears poses with her on the cover of OK! magazine — as expected, given the fact that Spears announced her pregnancy through an article in OK! and reportedly was to receive a large payday for exclusive pictures of the baby.
The photos were taken at the pair's Mississippi home. The magazine does not comment on the terms of its deals with celebrities.
In an interview with OK!, the 17-year-old Jamie Lynn said she had been nervous about giving birth "but it all fell into place. I was right on schedule. I had a perfect pregnancy and a perfect delivery. I was very blessed."
Jamie Lynn said watching Aldridge, a pipe-layer from Liberty, Miss., hold Maddie for the first time "was the coolest thing. ... He was so happy, and that made me the happiest person alive."
Jamie Lynn's immediate family — including big sister Britney — were there for the birth, though Aldridge was the only one allowed in the delivery room.
"It was such a big day," she said. "And being able to have your sister there, your whole family there, meant a lot. Everybody flew in to celebrate."

"As much as I'd like her to look like me — I just carried her for nine months — she looks like Casey! He reminds me of it every day," she said.
Jamie Lynn said Maddie sleeps in a bassinet by the couple's bed because she's "not ready to put her (in the nursery) all the way across the house."
She said Lynne Spears is a hands-on grandma.
"Mama has been here a bunch," she said. "She wants to see the baby all the time. She told me the doctors are always going to be real strict and tell you, `Don't do this and don't do that.' Just follow your instincts. You're the mother and you know what your baby needs. That's what I've done and it seems to have worked."
Jamie Lynn, who recently starred on the Nickelodeon sitcom "Zoey 101," said she plans to raise Maddie down South where "the focus is family."
"I would love being the soccer mom," she said. "They don't have soccer down here, but I would love being the softball mom driving the kids around."

Britney Spears has become an aunty, after her younger sister Jamie Lynn gave birth to a baby girl.
The baby was named Maddie Briann and weighed 3.49 kilograms, according to a friend of the Spears family, who asked not to be identified because the family had not yet announced the baby's birth.
Spears gave birth at a south Mississippi hospital, but Ellen Brannan from the Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Centre would not give out any details.
"We understand everybody's interested, but we don't give out information on anyone. Everyone's entitled to their privacy," she said.
Nickelodeon issued a statement about the birth, saying: "We wish her and her family well."
Spears starred in Nickelodeon's Zoey 101 children's TV series.
The Spears family announced in December that 17-year-old Jamie Lynn was pregnant.
The father is Casey Aldridge, a pipe-layer from Liberty, Mississippi.
The couple is not married but announced an engagement several months ago.

The 16 year old has had time off from her Nickelodeon series Zoey 101 since announcing her pregnancy in December and after a few weeks of hard studying, she sat the GED test about a month ago. Her spokesperson yesterday confirmed that she had passed the exam, with particularly high marks in reading comprehension.

A source told America's Star magazine: "After several weeks of personal soul searching and talks and discussions with her mom, Jamie Lynn reluctantly agreed that giving up the baby is the right thing to do.

Jamie Lynn Spears and her boyfriend Casey Aldridge are set to have their first baby together. Like her sister Britney Spears, Jamie Lynn is now the subject of speculation from tabloid reports and the entertainment media and the latest report is that she and her beau have split and he is demanding that she submit to a DNA test to prove that he is the father of the baby.
But now little Jamie and Casey are fighting back saying that the reports are not true. According to a report from Us Weekly Magazine have not split up, as reports claimed this week. "It's completely false," a source close to the 16-year-old actress tells Usmagazine.com. "They are still together and he has not asked for a paternity test."
On a side note he would probably be wise to ask for one and if he doesn't that should raise a whole bunch of suspensions about who the baby daddy really is. The cover story of In Touch Weekly claims Spears was "dumped" and Aldridge is "convinced Jamie Lynn is lying" about the paternity. Certainly one would believe that he has suspicions.
Jamie was finally spotted late last week and photographers snapped her baby bump. The one-time highly sought photo was not as good as advertised as the young teen star wore a very loose fitting sweatshirt so it was impossible to tell how pronounced her bump was at the time.
