Lisa Marie Presley, Elvis Presley's only child, gave birth to twin baby girls on October 7, celebrity news TV show "Entertainment Tonight" said on its website on Saturday.
The girls, whose names were not given, were delivered by cesarean section and weighed 5 pounds, 15 ounces (2.7 kg) and 5 pounds, 2 ounces (2.3 kg).
The twins are the first children born to Presley, 40, and her musician husband Michael Lockwood, 47.
Presley also has two children with ex-husband Danny Keough. After that union ended in 1994, she briefly married Michael Jackson and then actor Nicolas Cage.
Twins run in the Presley family. Her father, who died in 1977, was a twin and her mother, Priscilla Presley, has younger brothers who are twins, ET said.
Presley is following in the musical footsteps of her father. Last year she released a version of Elvis' "In the Ghetto," a posthumous duet with her dad.

Lisa Marie Presley, 40, angrily confirmed her pregnancy in March after the publication of paparazzi photos that showed her expanding waistline.
A spokeswoman for Presley confirmed in an email to AFP on Tuesday that the singer was expecting twins.
Presley married her fourth husband Michael Lockwood, a musician and her producer, in January 2006 in Japan. Her two children, age 19 and 15, are from her first marriage to Danny Keough.
Presley was also married to "King of Pop" Michael Jackson for a year and a half, and was then married briefly to actor Nicolas Cage in 2002.
A follower of Scientology like her mother Priscilla, Presley has released two albums since 2003, both of which reached the US top 10 and sold more than a million copies each.
Presley was nine years old when her father Elvis died in 1977 at the age of 42. Elvis was also a twin; his brother Jesse Garon died at birth in 1935.

Lisa Marie Presley has sued a British newspaper for alleging that she was piling on the pounds because of her unhealthy appetite, her lawyer said Monday.
Presley, who is pregnant, alleges in a suit filed at London's High Court on Friday that the story in Britain's Daily Mail was slanderous and degrading. The newspaper has since reported on the 40-year-old singer's pregnancy.
"Once they got a glimpse of my expanding physique a few days ago, they have been like a pack of coyotes circling their prey whilst eerily howling with delight," she said on her blog.
The daughter of the late singer Elvis Presley claims the pictures taken at a Hollywood restaurant last week forced her to go public about the baby she is having with her fourth husband, music producer Michael Lockwood.
"It really upset her," Presley's attorney Jo Paton told The Associated Press. "She was about to announce her pregnancy and was shocked and hurt by the unkind article about her appearance."
Paton said Presley was seeking an apology and damages.
The Daily Mail said the first indication they had of Presley's complaint was when they were served with court documents.
"We are investigating the matter," the newspaper said in a statement.
The child will be Presley's third.
She has an 18-year-old daughter and 15-year-old son from her first marriage to musician Danny Keough, which ended in 1994. She was briefly married to Michael Jackson and to actor Nicholas Cage.
She married Lockwood in January 2006.

After being the target all week of slanderous and degrading stories, horribly manipulated pictures and articles in the media, I have had to show my cards and announce under the gun and under vicious personal attack that I am in fact pregnant.
Once they got a glimpse of my expanding physique a few days ago, they have been like a pack of coyotes circling their prey whilst eerily howling with delight. Starting with a London publication and then New York and Chicago all writing false defamatory degrading stories about all of the dark possible reasons I could be putting on weight. The US tabloids have been calling all day wanting confirmation on all kinds of insane theories.
They couldn't wait to find out if my weight gain was because I was just overeating, in which case It would be open season and they can do the old following in her fathers sad and unfortunate demise story again or less interesting for them and probably much to their dismay, I could just be pregnant and therefore have a legitimate reason for weight gain at which point they should probably wipe the saliva off of their fangs and put them back in their mouths or they may expose the black little souls that they are.
Now that things are confirmed, hopefully they can stop all of the harassment and I can stop dodging the continuous bullets. It is unfortunate that I couldn't have announced something that is this much of a blessing and that has made us so incredibly happy under better circumstances.
How they have handled themselves with this has been nothing short of irresponsible and disgusting.
Pardon my seething contemptuous tone but ladies, You KNOW if you were pregnant and you felt you were expanding uncontrollably by the moment as a result and the worldwide media started badgering and harassing you for it, plastering you everywhere in an unflattering light, you would be mortified as well.
