Amy Winehouse has shocked sunbathers on the island of St Lucia after branding wounds down her leg like something out of a warzone.
The char-grilled singer made no attempt to cover the eye-watering pink and white fleshy wounds as she revealed her singed limb in her hot pants under the blazing Caribbean sunshine.
A string of reports claimed the volatile star had a torrid mishap with a cigarette but friends of the star say her raw melted skin was the result of a cooking disaster.
It seems the singer, 25, has been rustling up her own supper despite staying in a plush private villa in the resort.
Winehouse was said to be making some home made pasta to bolster her new size 10 frame when she suddenly found herself in hell's kitchen.
'Amy was making herself a bowl of pasta when the pot felt over and she was scolded by boiling water' her friend told Metro.

Amy Winehouse has jetted back to St Lucia.
The Rehab singer, who recently spent more than two months holidaying on the Caribbean island, has said she'd like to splash out on a holiday home there, reports The Sun.
Amy has previously been quoted as saying she could see herself setting up camp on the picturesque isle.
However, the 25-year-old - who is lined up to perform at the St Lucia Jazz Festival next month - is planning on doing some work as well as house hunting and enjoying the sun.
Beehived Amy, whose last album was 2006's Back To Black, was working on music during her lengthy vacation and the paper says she will be going into the studio in St Lucia next week so she can work on her next offering.

Poor old Amy Winehouse has been sent back to the drawing board after her record label knocked back her new songs, it was claimed today.
Her record label is reportedly unhappy with the reggae influence many of her offerings are tinged with.
Insiders also claim many of the tracks penned during her time away in the Caribbean are 'too dark' to feature on her upcoming third album, as they focus heavily on her broken marriage to Blake Fielder-Civil.
A source told The Sun: 'Amy was very productive during her stay in St Lucia. She wrote a hell of a lot of songs, but the majority of them aren't hitting the mark.'

Singer Amy Winehouse will not perform at next month's US Coachella festival because of "legal issues", her spokesman has confirmed.
The 25-year-old had been expected to perform at the annual event in California, alongside Sir Paul McCartney and The Killers.
Winehouse was charged with assault last week for allegedly attacking a fan at a London party in September.
Being charged with a crime can make it difficult for people to get US visas.
The singer, best known for hits such as Rehab and Back to Black, is due back in court in London next week.
Chris Goodman said that Winehouse will not be flying to the US in "light of current legal issues".
Last year Winehouse was refused a US visa for the Grammy awards.
The decision was eventually reversed, but not in time for her to attend the ceremony.
Meanwhile, Winehouse is one of several acts set to perform in May in a week of concerts marking the 50th anniversary of the founding of Island Records.
The singer will appear alongside ska band Toots and the Maytals in the last of six Island Life concerts scheduled to take place at London's Shepherds Bush Empire.
Other acts performing over the course of the week include Keane, the Fratellis and Yusuf Islam, the artist formerly known as Cat Stevens.
The concerts form part of the Island 50 festival, which includes a photographic exhibition at The Vinyl Factory in London's Soho and the publication of Keep On Running: The Story of Island Records.

Troubled British singer Amy Winehouse, who has just returned from a two-month holiday in the Caribbean to recover from her turbulent life in London, was Friday charged with assault by police in Britain.
The 25-year-old singer is due to appear at Westminster Magistrate's Court in London on March 17, charged with assaulting a woman at a charity ball last September.
A spokesman for Winehouse said she had voluntarily attended a police station in London for questioning earlier this week and would attend the court hearings.
Winehouse, who has suffered from drug- and alcohol-related health problems, recently returned from the Caribbean island of St Lucia where she went in late December.
In mid-January her divorce from former husband Blake Tielder-Civil was announced.
Winehouse has moved out of her apartment in Camden in north London and now lives near her parents' home in the quieter suburb of Barnet on the northern outskirts of the capital.

Blake Fielder-Civil was reportedly picked up from the gates of Edmunds Hill Prison by his mother Georgette at 10am Wednesday morning.
The pair were seen walking arm in arm to the prison car park to an awaiting silver BMW which then drove them away.
A spokesman for the prison said: 'He was released after completing his sentence.'
Fielder-Civil was jailed for 27 months in July last year following an attack on North London publican James King in June 2006.
King was so badly beaten he required plates fitted into his face for a broken cheekbone after the attack.
Fielder-Civil, 26, was released momentarily on bail at the end of last year but was sent back to jail after breaching his bail conditions, following reports he failed a drug test.
At the time it had been reported he would then stay in jail until at least 2010 following the test.
At the time Blake was undergoing a £30,000 rehab programme as part of his release terms, which was reportedly paid for by his wife.
The singer is not expected to see her estranged husband, as she is currently rehabilitating on the Caribbean island of St Lucia.
A spokesman for the star, 25, said he was not aware of Blake's imminent release.
Before she fled to the island at the end of last year amid rumours the couple were set to end their stormy marriage following a string of adultery claims on both sides. The pair wed eloped to Miami in May 2007 to marry.

Burglars smashed their way into the 'Rehab' singer's North London property at 4am this morning (30.01.09) - stealing £15,000 worth of her belongings including recording equipment and five guitars - just a couple of days before the singer returns to the UK from the Caribbean island of St Lucia.
A source said: "Amy is devastated. Some of the guitars are irreplaceable due to their sentimental value. The flat is in a real state. It had been cleaned up in preparation for her return."
Police say there are, as yet, no leads in their bid to find the culprits.
A police spokesperson said: "No arrests have been made and our enquiries continue."

Former X Factor winner Leona Lewis scooped the Best UK Act with 72 per cent of the vote.
Girl band The Saturdays beat US boy band The Jonas Brothers to the Best New Act gong at the awards, which are voted for by the public.

One guest said: "One minute she is very pleasant saying, 'Alright darling' and talking to people and having photos taken. Then next she is throwing things and swearing her head off."
Another added to Britain's The Sun newspaper: "She's like a child craving attention. It's embarrassing. She comes in for dinner barefoot and in her bikini, even though the dress code is smart casual.

Alex Haines, her former personal assistant, has revealed how the singer smoked crack for breakfast from pipes she made out of drinks bottles as she blew 3,500 pounds a week on drugs in her darkest hours.
Haines said the ‘Rehab’ hitmaker was so desperate for every last bit she even frantically scraped the residue out with a screwdriver so it wouldn’t be wasted.
He said: “When Amy woke up the first thing she’d ask was, ‘Where’s my pipe?’ She often made crack pipes by putting foil on top of plastic bottles and then burning the drug.
“While she got it going I made toast with butter and a cup of tea for her. It was her normal breakfast.
“When Amy ran out of the drug it she would cut the bottle in half and sit there on the floor completely wired, scraping the inside to get the residue with a screwdriver.
“She had to have a heroin and crack pipe near her or she freaked out. She’d keep taking drugs until she passed out. I reckon she spent 3,500 pounds a week on them.”
Haines has also opened up about their marathon romps while Fielder Civil was in prison.

Amy Winehouse could be saying goodbye to the UK.
The bee-hived one - who is based in Camden in London - has jetted off to St Lucia for a festive break and told the Daily Star she could "easily" live on the Caribbean island.
