Katherine Heigl Wishes Ellen DeGeneres "All The Best"

Katherine Heigl has spoken out to congratulate newlyweds Ellen Degeneres and Portia De Rossi.

"One of my favorite people of all time is Ms. Ellen DeGeneres," the 27 Dresses star told the Associated Press news agency at a Hollywood charity event on Saturday night. "So I wish all the best, all the happiness, all the joy that comes with that certificate ... just the joy of being able to stand up and say that. In front of everyone you love and care about in front of each other and to walk away legal is huge."

And Tila Tequila, whose dating reality show fame is built somewhat upon her affinity for both men and women, passed along her good wishes — with only one small complaint.

"I love Ellen (DeGeneres) I watch her show all the time," Tequila said. "I just want to say congratulations and I am really sorry you didn't invite me to your wedding."

Degeneres, 50, and De Rossi, 35, wed in an intimate ceremony on Saturday, August 16.

The couple exchanged rings at the private service in the backyard of their Beverly Hills home.

Just 19 guests watched as the couple read aloud their handwritten vows, including DeGeneres' mother Betty and De Rossi's mother Margaret Rogers, who flew in from her native Australia for the occasion.

The couple's spokesperson says, "Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi were married tonight in an intimate ceremony at their home in Los Angeles."

Shortly after the wedding, DeGeneres taped an interview for her daytime talk show, which is where she first announced in May (08) she would wed the Arrested Development star.

California lifted its ban on gay weddings in May this year after the state's Supreme Court ruled the ban on same-sex unions was unconstitutional.

Is Ellen DeGeneres getting married at the Bush family ranch?

Ellen DeGeneres is hosting another set of Republicans on her show next week, and unlike presidential hopeful John McCain... these guests seem more "into" Ellen's wedding plans.

DeGeneres pre-recorded an interview with first lady Barbara Bush and first daughter Jenna Bush-Hager on Thursday and asked the first family if she and Portia DeRossi can use the Bush family ranch in Crawford for their nuptials.

Here's how it went down:

Ellen: So, the ranch was a great place to get married – it looked like nobody could fly over and get pictures or bother you, really.

Jenna: Yeah, that was really nice.

Ellen: So, can we borrow it for our wedding, can we get the ranch?

Jenna: Sure!

Ellen: Okay, great!

I wonder what President Bush would think about that? A big gay wedding at their Crawford ranch?!

That's a sight I'd love to see!

Timberlake offers to perform at DeGeneres’ wedding

Justin Timberlake has offered to perform at talk show host Ellen DeGeneres’ wedding and said he would compose a song specially for the occasion. After the state of California overturned the ban on same-sex marriage Thursday, DeGeneres announced on her show that she would wed her long time partner Portia De Rossi.

Timberlake was among the first to congratulate her as he appeared on the show where she made the announcement, contactmusic.com reported.

But Timberlake shrugged off a suggestion that he would marry his girlfriend Jessica Biel as a double wedding.

He said: “No… but I’ll sing at your wedding. You should have an original wedding song, I think it’s only fitting. (Write down) everything you want to say to Portia and everything you (Portia) wanna say to Ellen… and I’ll put it to music and it’ll be amazing.”

Ellen DeGeneres Wants to Marry Portia de Rossi

According to reports, talk show host Ellen DeGeneres plans to marry her longtime girlfriend, actress Portia de Rossi. TMZ.com reported that 50-year-old DeGeneres made the announcement Thursday on the heels of California’s Supreme Court lifting the ban on same sex marriages.

De Rossi, 35, and DeGeneres began dating in December 2004. The talk show host reportedly made the announcement on an episode of her show, which will air Friday.

Portia de Rossi was born and raised in Geelong, Australia. Originally born Mandy Rogers, at 15, she changed her name to Portia, saying that it was the most daring thing she had ever done up until that point.

After graduating from high school, she attended the University of Melbourne, and studied law. Although she studied diligently, in 1993, Portia found herself giving special notice to a casting director who had seen her in a commercial, and she soon after auditioned for Sirens (1994), a low budget comedy, starring Hugh Grant. She was cast in the role of Giddy, one of the three gorgeous models in the movie.

It wasn't until 1997, however, that Portia at last began to attract real attention. She turned an unforgettable role as Murphy in Scream 2 (1997), and in 1998, she joined the cast of "Ally McBeal" (1997) as the "Ice Queen", Nelle Porter. She has also worked on such projects as Stigmata (1999), Girl (1998), and The Invisibles (1999), and she has appeared on several magazine covers, including Sharpe. After more than a decade of hard work, Portia is finally beginning to win real recognition, not only for her long golden tresses, but also for her wonderful talent.

DeGeneres hopes dog drama won't end adoptions

Comedian Ellen DeGeneres returned to her TV show on Tuesday after taking a long weekend to escape a national uproar over an adopted puppy, saying she hoped the drama would not discourage people from adopting pets.

DeGeneres, one of the country's best known entertainers, sobbed on TV last week as she recounted how an animal rescue group took back a puppy she had adopted but then given to her hairstylist's family without the animal agency's permission.

The on-air tears stirred an outpouring of public support, and footage of her begging for the agency to return the dog, Iggy, was replayed endlessly. DeGeneres later made a public appeal for an end to death threats that had been reported against some of those involved.

After taking a long weekend to recover from the shaggy-dog tale that went too far, DeGeneres returned to her show on Tuesday saying the reaction to her crying on air had taken her totally by surprise, making headlines from Australia to England.

"I have always cried since I was a little kid. I am a sensitive person, I cry. I cry at commercials, I cry at stories, I cry at anything sweet, I cry at babies," she said.

"You don't want to keep in a good cry because then you get bloated ... there is nothing wrong with having feelings and I think more people should cry."

DeGeneres invited various guests involved in pet adoptions onto her show, including the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) and online pet adoption Web site petfinders.com.

"There are so many dogs and cats out there that need homes and they just need to end up in a good home," DeGeneres said. "That is all I care about .. I don't want anybody to be discouraged from this."

DeGeneres said the crew on her television show had also been left distraught over the incident.

"People on the staff are upset because we are a family," DeGeneres said as cameras panned to crew members fake-crying into their hands and tissues.

DeGeneres, host of this year's Oscar awards, said she adopted the shaggy-haired mixed breed dog in September, but the little dog did not get along well with her cats, so she gave Iggy to her hairstylist.

The agency from which she adopted the dog, Mutts and Moms, reclaimed the dog on the grounds that DeGeneres violated the adoption agreement, which required her to return the pet to the agency if she chose not to keep it.

"I've rescued so many animals over the years ... this came out of the blue," she said.
