TV bosses are lining up AC Milan new boy David Beckham for a guest appearance on Italy's Big Brother.
Beckham, 33, arrived in Italy on Saturday along with wife Victoria, 34, for a medical and to check out accommodation for his three-month loan.
In Italy footballers regularly appear on lifestyle and variety programmes and as AC Milan is owned by Prime Minister and media mogul Silvio Berlusconi, Beckham will also have to do a turn on one of his Mediaset channels.
TV insiders said the most likely programme would be Grande Fratello or Big Brother as it is the most popular show in the country and the eighth series is due to start shortly.
The former Manchester United player arrived in Milan on a private jet with Victoria and the couple was chauffeur-driven from Malpensa airport in separate cars.
Dressed in a blue jumper, jeans, mirrored sunglasses and a scarf against the chill Beckham smiled and waved at the small group of fans who had gathered to welcome him.
He told AC Milan TV: "I am honoured to be here and to play for one of the most successful clubs in the world. I am overcome, very overcome, I want to train hard and be part of the team.
"I want to enjoy myself in these few months. I have played for the biggest club in England, the biggest club in Spain and now I want to play for the biggest club in Italy.
"There are so many famous players here, it is an incredible club."
During his stay in Italy Beckham will be eligible for ten Serie A matches as well as two UEFA games, should AC Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti decide to name him to the European squad.
Beckham will begin training with his new teammates on December 29 and hopes to be on the field for Milan's first 2009 Serie A match, January 11, away against AS Roma.

martes, 7 de octubre de 2008 Publicado por Shujel en 10:58 | Etiquetas: David Beckham, Victoria BeckhamNobody likes falling victim to birds' mess dropping on them from above - even though it is supposed to bring good luck.
But for Victoria and David Beckham it is more a case of bird poo bringing them a good look, rather than good luck.
Victoria, who has long battled problem skin, puts her new clear complexion down to a bizarre new beauty regime involving bird poo.
And it seems David has been getting involved too.
It has emerged that the stylish couple have been indulging in beauty treatments to improve their skin.
Victoria, 34, has been regularly indulging in £100 Geisha Facials, using a paste made from nightingale droppings, to combat acne she has suffered since her teens.
A pal told Closer magazine: 'When Victoria was in Japan recently she was admiring the local women’s clear skin and discovered it was down to these facials.
'She was intrigued and when she got back to the US she found that some New York beauty salons now offer the treatment.
'She tried it and loved how great her skin looked. She also uses a cream derived from nightingale poo at home.'

Beckhams in NY for fragrance launch
sábado, 27 de septiembre de 2008 Publicado por Shujel en 10:04 | Etiquetas: David Beckham, Victoria Beckham
The wet and rainy weather did little to dampen the spirits of David and Victoria Beckham or the screaming fans who turned up at Macy's Herald Square for the launch of their new perfume, Beckham Signature.
Rush hour traffic came to a standstill in midtown Manhattan, and the pavements were filled with people, some of whom had been waiting for up to four hours to catch a glimpse of the show-stopping couple.
Wearing a Giambattista Valli grey shift dress and thigh-high PVC boots, Victoria said to the crowds inside: "The turn-out has been absolutely phenomenal so thank you so much for queuing up for so long in the rain. It's great for us to be here. We're very, very excited. I look forward to meeting you all, so thank you."
Her footballer hubby David, in a striped Tom Ford suit, added: "I'd also like to thank everyone who turned up and hope it will be a great day as well. Thank you."
The couple signed autographs and bottles of their new perfume, Beckham Signature For Him and Beckham Signature For Her.

Victoria Beckham has no baby plans
domingo, 31 de agosto de 2008 Publicado por Shujel en 18:04 | Etiquetas: David Beckham, Victoria Beckham
I can't even think about another baby.. our three boys take up so much of my time. And, no, we won't adopt.. though I admire people who do
While Brand Beckham may be growing - Victoria's waistline won't be for a while.
As the former Spice Girl signed copies of her new scent Signature at a posh department store, she told me her baby plans are on hold.
Although Victoria and David have spoken about wanting a girl to add to their brood of sons - Brooklyn, nine, five-year-old Romeo, and Cruz, three, the only tantrums the singer wants to deal with right now are the ones in the fashion world.
Looking stunning in a dazzling white Giambattista Valli shift dress with a fluffy white panel on the back, Victoria, 34, revealed: "I can't even think about having another baby right now. The boys take up so much of my time.
"They're in England with me at the moment, and thank goodness I've got my mum and my dad to look after them for a bit.
"Life is busy in LA because Brooklyn's got football, Romeo's got gymnastics and Cruz has break-dancing. Plus they have school commitments. They start school again next week so we all have to go uniform shopping now."
As I chatted to Victoria in Harvey Nichols, Manchester, I asked whether she would consider following in the footsteps of Madonna and Angelina Jolie - who have adopted babies .
But she said: "We really respect people who go through adoption, but it's not something we have considered as we have our hands full with the three children we do have!" Victoria is gearing up for a new assault on the clothing industry with her own very posh range of couture gowns during New York Fashion Week.
In two weeks, she will take a new range of full-length dresses to a hotel suite in New York and put on a show for editors of glossy magazines like Vogue and Harper's Bazaar.
She explained: "They're very sexy dresses. Full-length frocks and bold colours - stuff that makes women feel good.
"I'm just showing it to a collection of magazine journalists and boutique retailers because I want to start off small and see what the reaction is. I really hope people will like it."
Victoria's DVB Style range of jeans is sold in more than 100 retailers in the US and the UK.
Sales of her sunglasses and handbags are also booming.
Meanwhile, David, 33, is busy with endorsements for Adidas and Armani.
And he also has three years left on his contract with the LA Galaxy soccer side.

David Beckham's rep insists he and wife Victoria were not involved in a car crash at the weekend.
Internet reports said the pair smashed into a wall on their way to a French airport, where David was catching a flight to Beijing.
'There was no crash,' David's rep tells the Daily Star. 'They were driving a car that had been scratched the day before when it had been left parked at the airport.
'They were not involved at all. There was no police, no crash - just incorrect reports via the internet.'
David, 33, and Victoria, 34, had been holidaying on the French Riviera with sons Brooklyn, 9, Romeo, 5, and Cruz, 3.

David Beckham to Launch His Own Brand of Bottled Water
jueves, 26 de junio de 2008 Publicado por Shujel en 15:59 | Etiquetas: David Beckham
David Beckham is considering ending his $4m deal with fizzy drinks firm Pepsi, and launching his own brand of bottled water.
Pepsi are said to be desperate to hold on to Beckham -- who has been the face of the company for more than 10 years -- and are currently in negotiations to persuade him to stay.
A source says, "David Beckham has had a fantastic relationship with Pepsi -- it's one of the longest running contracts in its history.
"But after 10 years he feels there are other things he could do. He is a global brand in himself and there is more scope for him to promote his own products. He has an idea for creating a range of healthy products, including water. That's something PepsiCo might develop with him.
"David is keen to go down the healthy route to keep in with his sporty image. And Pepsi is desperate to keep him. So who knows..."
Beckham, 33, already has lucrative deals with Police sunglasses, his own perfume range and is the current face & body of Emporio Armani Underwear.
David's spokesman said,"It is true that we are currently in negotiations to possibly extend the Pepsi relationship, which has lasted over ten years.
"There are no discussions at this stage with any other drinks companies."

David Beckham turns out for Ramsay's launch
jueves, 5 de junio de 2008 Publicado por Shujel en 10:16 | Etiquetas: David Beckham
David Beckham was the star guest at the opening of Gordon Ramsay's restaurant in LA - Gordon Ramsay at the London West Hollywood.
Just off the Sunset Strip, the hot-headed chef was joined by celebrities, friends and family for the special opening, which marks his West Coast debut - a sister to his two Michelin-starred eatery in New York.
Becks smiled and waved for photographers but rushed straight in to sample the new menu, joining the likes of Will & Grace actor Eric McCormack.
Earlier, Gordon had allowed reporters to see him at work in the kitchen.
But as the guests arrived Gordon changed out of his chef's whites and into a smart grey suit to mingle with some of Hollywood's finest.
Speaking before heading into the party, the chef said: "It's beautiful in there, it's sexy, it's chic, it's got a wooden floor, wooden ceilings.
"We got rid of that old pomposity, long-winded, old fart syndrome - it's so vibrant! It's got great views and the pool bar on the top floor is just amazing, you stand on the floor and the showers come up rather than overhead showers - brilliant, especially when you've got no pants on!"
Gordon also revealed he isn't worried that America's food critics will be gunning for him.
He said: "I think everyone is my critic and on top of that there's one bigger critic and that's myself, so to be honest eating in this restaurant is about having fun, removing any form of stuffiness - and more importantly, as long as they're paying the cheque I don't care!"

David and Victoria Beckham trying for another baby

David Beckham and wife Victoria are "working on" having more children.
The soccer star - who already has three sons with the Spice Girl - has revealed the couple are planning to extend their family as soon as possible.
He told US talk show host Ellen DeGeneres: "We're working on having more children. We're very family oriented. We always wanted a big family, which was weird because when we first got together we never even discussed how many children we wanted.
"It's worked out that we want a big family and we love kids so it's worked out perfect."
Despite usually being comfortable naked, David also admitted he found it tough to pose in underwear for his Emporio Armani advertising campaign.
He explained: "Around the house we are comfortable being naked but when I was doing the Armani shoot I was quite uncomfortable because I've never done a shoot before just in underwear. I was quite uncomfortable."
David and Victoria have three sons, nine-year-old Brooklyn, five-year-old Romeo and three-year-old Cruz.

Rebecca Loos to spill David Beckham beans
viernes, 18 de abril de 2008 Publicado por Shujel en 8:28 | Etiquetas: David Beckham
David Beckham's alleged former mistress is set to reveal more details about their sex life.
Rebecca Loos - who claimed to have had an affair with the soccer star while he played for Spanish giants Real Madrid in the 2003-04 season - will appear on UK TV show 'Generation Sex' to talk about their alleged relationship.
A source said: "It's highly likely that Beckham will be mentioned. After all it's what made her famous."
Rebecca - who is openly bisexual - claimed to have slept with David while she worked as his personal assistant when he moved to Spain.
However, David - who has three sons, Brooklyn, nine, Romeo, five, and three-year-old Cruz with Spice Girl wife Victoria - has always denied the claims.
Alleged affair
Rebecca recently insisted her alleged affair with David had made his marriage to Victoria stronger.
She said: "In a way they should be glad it happened - it's made them stronger. They even went on to have another child. Everything happens for a reason, even bad things.
"I think their marriage is stronger than ever. Victoria's stuck by David and that's the main thing."

David Beckham has no plans to quit England after 100th appearance
jueves, 27 de marzo de 2008 Publicado por Shujel en 9:33 | Etiquetas: David Beckham
David Beckham has no intention of saying goodbye to England after reaching 100 appearances.
The Los Angeles Galaxy star, who reached the milestone Wednesday night, maintains the wave he gave when he walked off during England's 1-0 loss to France was just an acknowledgment of the standing ovation that even the French fans gave him.
"I don't know where the rumours came from but they weren't from me," Beckham said. "It is 100 not out as far as I am concerned. The wave at the end was not a goodbye, just a thank you.
"The reception when I came off from both sets of fans was amazing. You obviously expect it off your own fans and I thank them for that but from the French people as well, it was an amazing standing ovation."
Although Beckham didn't even have a shot on goal and collected a yellow card for a foul on French goalscorer Franck Ribery, he was satisfied with his performance.
"The most important thing for me was to prove my fitness and I felt that I did that. I felt very fresh and a lot better than I thought I would," he said after playing 62 minutes at the Stade de France.
"As much as you work hard in pre-season, there is nothing better than playing in games and I enjoyed it."
Even though he had been replaced, Beckham was the last England player to walk off the field. At the end of the game, he walked back on, hugged France defender William Gallas, and had a long talk with the Arsenal player before again waving and applauding the fans.
"If there was another place I would have liked the game after Wembley, it would have been in Paris because it is where (Zinedine) Zidane played," he said in reference to his former Real Madrid teammate. Zidane scored two goals in the 1998 World Cup final at the same stadium where France beat Brazil 3-0.
"It is also one of my most favorite cities and I have a house in the South of France."
Beckham, who turns 33 in May, believes he will still be fit enough to play at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, assuming England qualifies.
"I want it to carry on," he said. "It doesn't stop here for me."
"I still feel I can perform at the highest level. The 2010 World Cup remains an ambition for me. I am quite a stubborn person so it is something I want to reach. I'd love to be part of the squad in 2010."
Although the loss was greeted by scathing criticism in the English media on Thursday, Capello was satisfied with the performance.
"As I told the players I am very happy with what they did because we made progress compared with the Switzerland game," he said, referring to England's 2-1 victory over the Swiss at Wembley last month.
"I am happy because I saw some very good things, especially because we played against a top level team and we showed our value. I am happy because I made the team play two different ways and I could see many players. Therefore my ideas are a lot clearer for the future."
Capello was also pleased with Beckham.
"He played like I know he can play," said Capello, who has only friendlies between now and qualifying for the 2010 World Cup because England failed to reach this summer's European championship.
"I only substituted him because I know how he can play and I wanted to see other players."
Beckham, who was overlooked by Capello for the Switzerland game because the Italian didn't consider him fit enough during Major League Soccer's off-season, called on the England fans to be patient with the new manager while he tries new formations, tactics and selections.
"As soon as a new manager comes in, there is always a period when it takes time to get going," Beckham said. "But he was pleased with the fact we passed the ball around well and in the first half kept a lot of possession.
"But if you don't score in that time, teams like France are always going to capitalize on it. And they did."

Beckham visit to Shanghai hospital sparks chaos

Football star David Beckham visited young leukaemia patients at a Shanghai hospital on Tuesday, causing a wave of chaos which forced police to seal off several of the hospital's entrances.
Hundreds of fans, staff, the media and curious bystanders converged upon the hospital, prompting police to close off access to a wing of Xinhua Hospital, an AFP reporter witnessed. No-one was allowed to enter or leave the wing for several hours.
One woman screamed hysterically as angry police refused to allow her inside, and organisers were forced to cancel a donation ceremony scheduled to take place outside the hospital.
"I want to see a doctor," she said as she tried to fight her way in.
Beckham is in Shanghai with his US club, LA Galaxy, for an exhibition match against a Shanghai-Hong Kong team on Wednesday.
Police struggled to clear people away from the ward's main entrance, holding up Beckham's car for at least 15 minutes.
The Galaxy, who begin their regular season in the US at the end of March, are in Shanghai as part or a three-city Asian tour.
The club lost in a penalty shootout to K-League side FC Seoul on Saturday. After their Shanghai match, Beckham and his team will travel to Hong Kong for a game against a South China side on March 9.
The former England captain is very popular in Asia, drawing huge crowds when he captained the national side during the 2002 World Cup in Japan and South Korea.

A brand of condoms named after football ace David Beckham has taken the Chinese contraceptive market under its sway.
Although the Beckham contraceptive is not being endorsed by the former England captain himself, its makers claim that the users will score in the bedroom like David does on the pitch.
This brand now sells more than any other brand in the country.
Chinese fans of the LA Galaxy soccer star, however, want the marketing of these condoms banned.
We do not want Beckham to think the Chinese people are disrespecting him. We love him here, the Sun quoted one as saying.
Beckhams agent Simon Oliveira said: Its not an official brand.

Exciting episode of Becks and the city
lunes, 26 de noviembre de 2007 Publicado por Shujel en 6:43 | Etiquetas: David Beckham
David Beckham can stop a city in its tracks, but for a few seconds yesterday it was an Australian icon that stopped Beckham in his.
A man who has seen, done and endorsed most things in a global lifestyle was rendered speechless for a few moments as his private launch drifted towards and under the Harbour Bridge.
It was a rare moment of surprise and spontaneity for a man whose entire existence is commoditised. There is no respite from his lifestyle; almost any move he makes outside his own home is photographed, filmed, pored over.
There's a part of his life that would send most of us mad within days -- a retinue of advisers who co-ordinate every second. The remarkable thing is that the calmest person in the mayhem at the centre of it all.
Barely able to draw breath after an intensive training session under new LA Galaxy coach Ruud Gullit, Beckham is spirited away to a launch at Homebush Wharf. A shower is laid on, sandwiches gulped, and another round of interviews begins as the boat takes him toward another sponsor event.
The move to Los Angeles starts to make sense as he discusses his change of life, uprooting his family to play in a league not known for its high quality -- in fact, it's barely known.
What it does make him, though, is another celebrity in a city where they are on every corner.
"I wouldn't say it's a normal life but it's a bit easier as there are so many famous people around in LA, doing things every day," said Beckham, who is in Sydney for tonight's LA Galaxy-Sydney FC exhibition match at Telstra Stadium.
"So it does give a certain amount of extra privacy."
"I do go out and buy a pint of milk," he said of the suggestion that was the mark of a "normal" life. "It's just never without being followed.
"But (being in LA) means we're putting the kids in a situation now, where at the moment, they're really happy, they're loving the lifestyle over there and the school they're in -- and Victoria's happy. It's just been so frustrating on the football side because I've been injured so much and not able to play. But apart from that it's genuinely been great."
Beckham was keen to praise the standard of soccer here, and generous with his assessment of the Socceroos at the World Cup.
He spent part of the afternoon in a kicking contest with footballers from three other codes -- rugby league's Mark Gasnier, union's Matt Giteau and Collingwood's Dale Thomas -- and it confirmed his impression of Australian sport.
"We, as a nation in England, know there are many talented Australian footballers. Obviously there are the ones that play in the Premiership," he said. "They're viewed very highly. Tim Cahill, for instance, has done really well at Everton. He scores a lot of goals and is a very talented player.
"(Everton midfielder) Phil Neville is a good friend of mine and he speaks very, very highly of him.
"But I think Australia as a nation is always passionate and driven by a desire to win things, so we knew (what the Socceroos achieved) was possible from that team.
"It lifted the entire nation. That's what football does. It does it in our country as well. When you win big games, it lifts everybody's mood."
Beckham would like one day to return to Australia with his family and said he had been made to feel welcome. "The support I've had so far . . . has been amazing, even the fans outside the hotel," he said.
Having "more time" in his life means when he finally hangs up the adidas boots he has worn for years, the sponsor for whom he is doing this interview.
He has often ruled out management -- instead he has a passion for bringing children into the game. And that doesn't exclude his own.
"I'll always be involved in football in some way. Obviously there's my soccer academies. That's the big thing I'll be doing once I stop playing," he said.
"That and other charity work. Being ambassador of UNICEF is a huge thing, a huge honour and I want to do much more of that.
"Without a doubt, I'd love my boys to go into football and if they do, then great. But if they don't, then I'm still going to support them as much as I can in whatever they wish to do. Mind you, they already love football."
With the most famous footballer of all as a father, that's not a great surprise. And David Beckham knows that under all the hype, the game is what underpins it all.
For if you ask him to describe himself, the response is simple. "Passionate -- passionate and dedicated," he said. "And a footballer."

David Beckham: unhappy and lonely in LA
lunes, 29 de octubre de 2007 Publicado por Shujel en 13:46 | Etiquetas: David Beckham
David Beckham is reportedly unhappy in Los Angeles and is said to have told wife Victoria Beckham that he would like to return to the UK.
The family moved to Beverly Hills in July after David signed a five year deal with the LA Galaxy soccer team but after an injury-plagued first season, David is said to be questionning the move.
A source close to the football star added that David is also unhappy with the social scene: “David basically has very few friends in LA.”
“The Beckhams haven’t seen much of the Cruises since Katie Holmes and Posh fell out, apparently after Katie saw Victoria and Eva Longoria taking the mickey out of Tom’s dancing at the Beckhams’ welcoming bash.”
“Tom and David get on, but Tom has been in Germany filming.”
And David’s father’s heart attack last month also drove home the importance of being close to his family: “There have been teary conversations with Victoria. David wants to reconnect with his family. He’s very down at the moment.”
