John Loughton wins Big Brother

John Loughton has won Big Brother: Celebrity Hijack with Emilia finishing as the runner up.

The two remaining housemates were sat on the sofa holding hands when Dermot O'Leary told them their fate.

"What?" shrieked John, in a state of disbelief.

"You've won John!" replied Emilia.

Once the result had sunk in, he ecstatically hugged the acrobat and was congratulated by O'Leary.

"You deserve it so much more than me!" admitted second-placed Emilia, who left the house joking that she was "going to faint". She was also shocked by the amount of booing coming from the crowd outside.

Inside the house, John hugged O'Leary who told him that he was a deserving winner. The newly crowned Big Brother winner managed to successfully negotiate the stairs, after joking he would trip up on them, and was greeted by fireworks and rapturous cheers from the crowd.

At the time the lines closed, John had 53.9% of the vote while Emilia received 46.1%.

Fashion designer and musician are latest evictees

Best pals Jay Wilson and Calista Robertson became the latest housemates to be evicted from Big Brother: Celebrity Hijack last night.

The fashion designer, 19, received 30 per cent of the public vote.

And 25 per cent of viewers wanted the 19-year-old classical musician out.

On hearing the news, Jay acted cool, before hugging his best friend in the house, Calista.

'That's life guys,' he said. 'I'll be fine.'

The pair received a positive reception from the crowd.

There are now 6 housemates left.

Eviction result 'not affected' by Dermot error

Big Brother producers have insisted that a "scripting error" in last night's eviction show did not affect the outcome of the vote.

Host Dermot O'Leary caused confusion by incorrectly stating, on two separate occasions, that the two housemates with the least votes would be evicted. In fact, there was no change to the usual format and viewers were expected to call up to boot out their least favourite contestants.

Jay and Calista were the housemates chosen to be evicted, leaving Amy, Anthony, Emilia, Jeremy, John and Nathan to face Monday's final.

A statement on the official Big Brother site explained: "Due to a scripting error in last night's eviction show, Dermot mentioned on two occasions that the two people with the least amount of votes would be evicted, when in fact it was a vote to evict.

"However, at all other times throughout the show, the vote was communicated correctly as a vote to evict. Furthermore, before every phone number was given out, Dermot said "To evict X, call..." and the graphic clearly stated "To Evict".

"The position of the two housemates who were evicted in last night's vote (Calista and Jay) did not change while the programme was being broadcast."

Latoya leaves Big Brother Celebrity Hijack

Latoya has become the latest housemate to be evicted from 'Big Brother: Celebrity Hijack'.

The housemates were only made aware of the shock eviction last night when presenter Dermot O'Leary interrupted their movie night to tell them that Latoya would be leaving the house.

The dancer was evicted after circus performer Emilia beat her in the public vote.

All of the housemates, except for John and Anthony, will now face the public vote ahead of Friday night's eviction.

John is guaranteed a place in the final after winning immunity from the other evictions by successfully completing a task, while Anthony only received one nomination.

Big Brother Celebrity Hijack - Fury in the house as Jade is voted out

The housemates were left fuming last night after beauty queen Jade was "disrespected" by a mysterious voice after it was announced that she had been voted out.

Having suffered an agonizing hour-long wait to find out that she was to leave, a distraught Jade was hurried out of the house by a voice saying: "Runner up in Great Britain's Beauty Pageant, loser of Big Brother, leave! Get out and be famous for a bit."

After saying some very tearful goodbyes, Jade was gone, leaving the others pacing about the house, outraged at the way she had been treated.

"That was sick. How could they be saying that?" asked Nathan.

"They are treating us like animals," said Victor, who was also up for nomination. "If Big Brother think they can get away with treating Jade like that they have another thing coming."

Aside from their outrage at the comments made, the housemates were also shocked that the public had picked Jade to leave. "I did not expect that," said John, while Calista repeated: "What the f***?"
