Singer Janet Jackson has postponed three more shows on her North American tour as she continues to recover from an undisclosed illness.
Her weekend concerts in North Carolina and Georgia have been put off, along with Tuesday's gig in Florida.
The 42-year-old arrived in the town of Greensboro on Saturday, but was advised by a doctor not to perform.
Jackson went to hospital in Montreal on Monday after becoming "suddenly ill" during a concert sound check.
She was discharged just two hours after arriving, a spokeswoman for the facility later said.
'Recuperating'
Jackson later announced plans to resume her tour on Saturday.
The local doctor in Greensboro said it was "evident" that she had not fully recovered, according to a statement released by the musician's representatives.
They added that Jackson will return home for further treatment, and said that she was "recuperating".
No further information about her condition has been released.
Fans are being asked to retain their concert tickets, and promoters are working on rescheduled dates for all the performances which have been postponed.
As well as Montreal, concerts in Boston and Philadelphia also failed to go ahead last week.
The cancelled Montreal concert was to have been Jackson's first appearance in the Canadian city for seven years.
Jackson also cancelled the Detroit stop of her Rock Witchu tour because of "production constraints".
The singer announced recently that she would leave record label Island Def Jam after just 14 months. Her first album with the label, Discipline, was released in February.
Janet, the youngest of nine siblings in the Jackson family, was one of the best-selling female recording artists of the late 1980s and 1990s, with hit albums including Control and Rhythm Nation 1814.
