David Duchovny and Tea Leoni released a statement on October 15 confirming their split. “In light of continuous speculation over the lives and marriage of Tea Leoni and David Duchovny, the couple has confirmed that they have in face been separated for several months. The couple had hoped to keep this separation private for the sake of their children,” the statement read.

David reportedly decided to end his 11-year marriage to fellow actress Tea, with whom he has two children, nine-year-old Madelaine West and six-year-old Kyd, after discovering raunchy and sexually loaded messages on her mobile phone.

The messages were reportedly from Billy Bob Thornton, who Tea met while shooting the movie ‘Manure’ earlier this year. The pair are now said to be romantically involved.

A source close to Tea, 42, and 53-year-old Billy, who is a musician in his own band, told website MailOnline: “Tea even helps Billy load and unload his truck.”
