Fur Shame! Is Lindsay Lohan a Coat Thief?

viernes, 9 de mayo de 2008 |

Did Lindsay Lohan swipe a stranger's mink coat for three weeks – then wear it on the town?

According to a New York Post report, Masha Markova, 22, is suggesting just that – saying it all started when she attended a private party at New York nightspot 1Oak along with Lohan.

Markova, a student at Columbia University, put down her $11,000 blond mink coat with other partygoers' jackets at the Jan. 26 bash – and thought it was gone for good after she couldn't find it at the end of the night.

But Markova tells the Post she was flipping through a February magazine when she saw Lohan sporting the distinctive coat. "It was my coat. It was no doubt," she said.

So, Markova's lawyer, Merrill Cohen, called Lohan's attorney, Blair Berk, and threatened legal action. Hours later, 1Oak phoned.

Said Markova: "They were very discreet, never mentioned a name or even the word 'coat.' They just said, 'We're going to bring you something.'"

Two days later, the coat, smelling of cigarettes and booze, arrived at her apartment with a tear in the lining. And while Markova is pleased with the return of her mink – which she subsequently dry-cleaned and patched up – she wants Lohan to apologize – and pay at least $10,000 in a "rental" fee.

"I don't see how it could have been an accident," Markova told the Post.

Lohan's rep did not return phone calls.
