Kyla Ebbert Poses For Playboy

viernes, 16 de noviembre de 2007 |

Kyla Ebbert, the young woman who was asked to cover up her attire on a Southwest Airlines flight, is now posing for Playboy Magazine.

Ebbert, who had on a short skirt, appears in a photo shoot called "Legs in the Air". Some of the pictures are nude, while others are of her in lingerie.

The story of her flight experience made national news and Ebbert was upset that Southwest made light of it. The airline tried to turn the dustup to its advantage by promoting a fare sale in honor of miniskirts. Southwest apologized to Ebbert, but she still thinks the gesture was unacceptable.

Playboy contacted Ebbert’s attorney to pitch the idea of posing for photos. After discussing it with her boyfriend and family, she was convinced to do it.

Ebbert currently works at a Hooter's restaurant in San Diego, but aspires to be a lawyer, something she thinks should not be deterred due to her naked pictures.

Matt Damon named 'Sexiest Man Alive'

jueves, 15 de noviembre de 2007 |

Matt Damon has topped a poll to find the sexiest man alive.

The actor saw off competition from Brad Pitt, Johnny Depp and Grey's Anatomy star Patrick Dempsey to take the spot in the People magazine survey.

Damon, whose career has seen a major upturn with his starring role in the Bourne trilogy, joked: "You've given an ageing suburban dad the ego boost of a lifetime!"

People writer Ericka Souter said: "Matt wrote us a letter turning down the position when we first decided he was the winner. But it actually backfired because the letter showed everything we liked about him - including his irresistible sense of humour, his dedication to his family, and his heart-melting humility."

He added: "He eventually gave in, and also gave us permission to print the letter in our latest issue."

Atonement actor James McAvoy made his first appearance in the list, but last year's winner George Clooney failed to make the top 14. Last year, Damon vowed to steal the crown from his close friend, saying: "I'm going to get a war chest going and save my money. George said I was close this year but I ran out of money for my campaign, which is why he won."

Ryan Reynolds, Will Smith, Javier Bardem and Brothers and Sisters star Dave Annable also feature in the poll, along with soap actor Shemar Moore, Ben Affleck, Adrian Grenier, Justin Timberlake and Bionic Woman's Will Yun Lee.

But brave John wolfed it down to win his team a luxury meal.

Gascoigne given driving ban over crash

|

Bianca Gascoigne has been banned from driving for 17 months after crashing her car while drunk.

The Celebrity Love Island winner drove her new Mercedes into a Honda Civic in September after celebrating her mum Sheryl's 43rd birthday in Hemel Hempstead.

Police later traced her to a hotel bar where she collapsed and was taken to Watford General Hospital to be treated for minor injuries. A blood test revealed that she was nearly twice the legal alcohol limit, Watford magistrates heard.

An officer had asked if the wrecked Mercedes belonged to her, to which she had responded: "Yeah, babe. My mum is going to pick me up. I have just called her."

Gascoigne, of Hemel Hempstead, pleaded guilty to drink driving and was banned for 17 months, fined £600 and ordered to pay £102 costs.

When asked how she would pay, the 21-year-old turned to her mother in the public gallery, saying: "Can I borrow your card mum?" Her mother agreed.

Gascoigne agreed to complete a drink driving course which will reduce her ban by four months.

From Spice Girls Blog

Hi everyone,

I’m currently sat in our rehearsal studio and I am about to have another fitting with the Cavalli team for our costumes. The other girls will kill me if I give anything away and I don’t want to ruin any surprises… but they look amazing! Roberto and his team have done us proud.

Rehearsals are going really well, I can’t believe that there are only a few weeks until the first show in Vancouver. It’s really scary but exciting at the same time. David and the boys have been laughing at me because I’ve been wandering around the house listening to my iPod and practising the routines. We are including some parts of the old routines but bringing them up to date a bit.

All of the kids have been down to rehearsals. We have an area where they all hang out… its a Spice creche! My boys are so excited about the tour, they can't wait and I'm really looking forward to them seeing me up on stage. I just hope I don't get over emotional when I see them!

Ugly Betty was shown over here in the US on Friday, I had such a laugh filming it. If you’re in the UK then you will be able to see the episode on Channel 4 at 9pm on Friday 23 November.

This week is a really busy one for us because not only are we rehearsing for the tour but we are going to be performing at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show on Thursday. Friday is BBC Children In Need day in the UK and we will performing from LA. We will be doing two songs, our new single Headlines (Friendship Never Ends) and also Stop – which is going to look fantastic. I can’t give too much away but it’s definitely going to be worth watching.

We’ve just had a break for lunch and now we’re going to rehearse with our band… and I'm holding things up to write this blog so I'd better go soon!

Finally, a big thank you to everyone who has been out to buy a copy of our Greatest Hits, we hope you enjoy it

Lots of love

Britney Courted for Red-Light Run

miércoles, 14 de noviembre de 2007 |

Sean Preston and Jayden James might not have to wait until nursery school to learn the ins and outs of the old playground favorite Red Light, Green Light.

At the behest of Kevin Federline's attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, an emergency hearing has been scheduled for Friday to further probe Britney Spears' decision to run a red light Thursday while her visiting children were in the car, rather than wait out the 60 seconds with the paparazzi, who inevitably captured the whole thing on film.

Kaplan told E! News on Monday that he was reviewing the footage to determine whether to call for a hearing.

Spears' camp, predictably, didn't believe the video necessarily showed the "Gimme More" warber was a lousy motorist.

"Ms. Spears was being mobbed by paparazzi at the time," Spears' attorney Sorrell Trope told People. "She was distracted. This was not blatant irresponsible driving on her part."

Meanwhile, neither Trope nor Kaplan had any further information about Spears' latest drug tests in light of recent published reports that one came back with a false positive.

During a hearing last Thursday, Spears' legal camp stated that the Blackout artist had showed up for 10 tests and passed every one, while Kaplan maintained that she only made herself available for 6 out of 14 requested tests.

Spears attorney Anne Kiley also suggested that her client be allowed six hours to present herself after the court calls for her to be tested, but Los Angeles Superior Court Commissioner Scott M. Gordon said that the current one-hour prep time would remain in place.

And now, there's this vehicular infraction.

Several paparazzi agencies on Friday published video and still images of Spears making a turn into oncoming traffic—possibly while texting. The apparent infraction came hours after the custody hearing and while Spears' court-appointed monitor was in the car.

Gordon was already scheduled to rule Nov. 26 on a request from Kaplan that the 25-year-old multitasker be prohibited from chauffeuring her sons, and this latest alleged development can only add more fuel to the privilege-slashing fire.

Court documents released Nov. 1 showed that the main reason Spears lost custody of two-year-old Sean and year-old Jayden on Oct. 1 was that she had been driving them around while lacking a valid California driver's license.

Hannah Montana Fans Suit Themselves

|

Next week on Discovery Channel, "When Hannah Montana Fans Attack…"

A possible class-action lawsuit filed Tuesday against the Miley Cyrus Fan Club alleges that the lure of club membership in exchange for a better shot at concert tickets is entirely bogus.

Tickets for Cyrus' 54-date Best of Both Worlds tour sold out within minutes starting in August, sending desperate wannabe concertgoers—and scalpers—to the Internet, where sellers were asking for as much as $2,000 a pop for $63 seats.

According to court documents filed on behalf of New Jersey resident Kerry Inman in U.S. District Court in Nashville, Interactive Media Marketing Inc. and Smiley Miley Inc. couldn't back up the promise of easier concert access in exchange for an annual $29.95 membership fee.

The suit claims that tens of thousands of people like Inman could possibly join the suit, based on the popularity of the club's official Website, mileyworld.com. Inman states that she tried to get tickets to an Atlantic City show right when tickets went on sale, but came up empty-handed.

"They deceptively lured thousands of individuals into purchasing memberships, based on the understanding that by joining, they would be able to purchase tickets before they were offered for sale to the general public, and that's why we're suing," Inman's attorney, Rob Peirce, said in a statement. Peirce is based in Pittsburgh but filed the suit in Tennessee, where the defendants operate.

"While the club and the Web site do not guarantee ticket availability, they explicitly state that members who log on shortly after tickets become available will have a good opportunity to get tickets," Peirce said. "In reality, the vast majority of club members, including those who logged on at the appointed time or shortly thereafter, were unable to obtain concert tickets."

Meanwhile, Cyrus' camp is calling the suit "frivolous" and defending the advantages of becoming an official Miley fan.

"The MileyWorld Web site expressly states that MileyWorld does not guarantee every member a concert ticket," read a statement released by the 14-year-old singer's publicist, Meghan Prophet, who added that 70,000 concertgoers did in fact get hooked up through the club.

"MileyWorld members had far greater access to concert tickets than the general public and other fan clubs, and the claim that the vast majority of MileyWorld members were unable to obtain concert tickets is simply false," Prophet said. "MileyWorld will vigorously defend itself from the frivolous claims in the lawsuit."

Either way, the defendants should have been more careful in promising an edge when it came to tickets, according to the suit.

The Website does not guarantee tickets, the suit admits, but implies that members who log on right when tickets go on sale will have a good chance of snaring some.

The National Association of Ticket Brokers backed up Prophet's statement, telling MTV News that a large number of tickets were reserved for the fan club. In Missouri, for instance, 7,000 out of 11,000 seats for sale for a concert at Kansas City's Spring Center went to club members, according to NATB.

Which left 4,000 tickets for the general public and about 7,500 for…? (Spring Center seats 18,500.)

Attorney generals in Missouri and Arkansas weren't too pleased with the numbers, either, and promptly launched investigations into a handful of online ticket sellers' seemingly shady tactics.

Cyrus' tour kicked off Oct. 18 in St. Louis and has been playing to obviously sold-out crowds ever since. The daughter of country singer and Hannah Montana costar Billy Ray Cyrus spends half of each concert styled up like her blonde alter-ego and the rest in Miley mode.

Seems like enough to drive a teenager—and now her fans—positively mad.

Raging Janice Threatens To Cut Off Lynne's Boobs, Fry Them Up And Eat Them

FIERY Janice Dickinson has claimed she wanted to stab I'm a Celebrity rival Lynne Franks.

The former model and TV presenter fell out with Lynne, the PR guru who inspired Absolutely Fabulous, over who would try to persuade Malcolm McLaren to stay in the jungle.

And while the Sex Pistols' former manager branded the show "fake" as he walked out, the bad feeling between Janice, 52, and Lynne, 59, appears all too real.

Their next big blow-out came over cooking the dinner on their first night in camp.

Janice stunned former boyband member Jason "J" Brown by telling him: "I'm going to stab her (Lynne) in the middle of the night. You don't think I'm kidding, I'll eat her t***. I'll fry up those big old boobs."

J replied: "You two have got to have a fight and sort it out. You're both going at each other and winding each other up."

Earlier, J and Hollyoaks actress Gemma Atkinson looked exhausted after sitting through a non-stop bicker-fest between Janice and Lynne as they cooked dinner.

Janice called Lynne a freak and a shrew, while Lynne said she didn't care.

The row started on the first night in the Australian rainforest after Lynne suggested they save some food for the following evening.

Janice said: "I don't mind you suggesting things Lynne, but can I have an opinion over here about what I stick in my gob?"

Moments later, as the pair were cooking, Lynne had a go at Janice for the way she put the vegetables into the pot.

Later, the pair appeared to have kissed and made up although as the series wears on, that could change.

Janice's fearsome reputation took a bit of a knock in the first Bushtucker Trial of the series when she went up against actor Marc Bannerman and cried: "I'm A Celebrity ...Get Me Out Of Here!"

The contestants have been split into two camps, Croc Creek and Snake Rock, and will compete for who gets proper food supplies.

Janice and Marc were both strapped to giant wooden cog wheels above a little railway line.

Carriages containing eels, fish guts, meal worms stopped underneath them and they had to collect stars from within the nasty contents.

But Snake Rock were left starving after Janice failed to win any stars.

Victorious Marc said: "I'd have had to hang my head in shame had I gone back without a meal."

Croc Creek - Marc, interior designer Anna Ryder Richardson, ex-footballer Rodney Marsh, singer Cerys Matthews and chef John Burton Race - were terrified on their way into the jungle after having to bungee jump out of a helicopter.

The ordeal left Anna in tears. The Snake Rock camp, Janice, Gemma, Lynne and J, successfully made their way into jungle first by helicopter and then by kayak.

Don't you love it when even the "celebrities" don't know who each other are? The brilliant thing this series is no one knows who anyone is. Mind you it's no indicator of stardom - even showbiz legends like Michael Barrymore can be hard for the youth of today to recognise (didn't Chantelle think he was Tom Hanks or something?) When Katie arrived at Brat Camp (Snake Rock, do try to keep up), Lynne quietly ID'd her for Janice: “She was in The Apprentice…she was highly competitive.”

Other stuff you missed, or saw, included the Rock gang forfeiting their dinner as punishment for breaking into the chest and eating chocolate biscuits. Lynne suggested that they should share the four meals, but Gemma ever-dlplomatic pointed out: “We knew that would backfire when we did it.”

Then Janice, who I'm liking more and more with each passing minute, said, “I didn’t know. Okay, if the games are going to begin, I’m taking off my mic in a moratorium." The games? In a moratorium?!! Man, it's like Saw IV. Except harder to watch.
