Lindsay Lohan is in talks to star in three episodes of hit US show Ugly Betty, it has been reported.
The actress will play a fallen beauty queen who is forced to work at a fast food restaurant after falling behind with her rent.
A show insider told the New York Observer: "Betty tries to help Lindsay's character by getting her a job at Mode, the fashion magazine where she works on the show."
However, production is expected to cease on the programme after its writers joined the WGA strike earlier this week.
Stars Becki Newton, Ana Ortiz and Ashley Jensen joined a picket line on Thursday, while America Ferrera and Rebecca Romijn have also been spotted with placards.

Vanessa Hudgens stopped her dad from almost attacking paparazzo on the way out of the gym. Hudgens was talking on her cell phone when her father charged at a photographer yelling at him to get away and splashing water at him.
Hudgens reportedly finished her phone conversation before calming her father down. The photographer reportedly agreed not to file charges and apologized to Hudgens’ dad.
Hudgens also went house hunting that day. According to reports the ‘High School Musical’ actress, who is dating her co-star Zac Efron, looked at five houses in the $2 million range with an agent.

Oh, Maggie Thatcher! But Carol Thatcher seemed the complete opposite. An honest, lovely woman who caught the affections of the jungle and the viewers at home. Her pisses in the jungle showed us what life is really about, and there’s no point putting up a front if you are what you are, is there Maggie? Putting all political points aside, Carol Thatcher remains one of the most talked about ‘I’m a Celeb’ contestants, and after coping with all those jungle creepy crawlies better than most of the men, she’s a bigger man than all of them. No, seriously!
Natalie Appleton was one of those squeamish contestants who kept complaining that she “wasn’t mentally prepared” for the tasks of the Australian jungle. However, viewers just laughed and laughed and laughed as she kept making a fool of herself on the screen. One of her highlights was waking other contestants because there was a “big spider” in her bed, as she screamed and ran away. She finally stomped out of the jungle after taking part in 4 Bushtucker trials, that were too much for her, and sadistic viewers would have made it five.
John Lydon, or Johnny Rotten as he is known in the Sex Pistol world, was able to shock Ant & Dec and the rest of Britain when he branded the viewing public: “fucking cunts” to the dismay of the other contestants. He was angered at the fact that he was not able to leave - which he eventually did by his own accord. However, we did enjoy his constant shouting and demands, and basically the drugs made us laugh.
Paul Burrell was possibly the most squeamish contestant on the series, pending the question why did he do it? He was a royal butler for goodness sake! However, the viewers loved him for his child like behaviour when put in front of a camera, and the creatures who he screamed at. “Oh sh*t, oh my God! What’s that?” were constant words from the Ex-Diana lover. He was loved on the series, and we at SBS wish him well.
Another squeamish contestant was Dean Gaffney, constantly sparking memories of Paul Burrell two years earlier, as the 2006 contestant (and most recently loved contestant) said: “Slimy, slimy, horrible, horrible, slimy slime,”. Yes, this could only make us laugh as he entered the Temple of Doom. At least he got out fine, and hasn’t had any mental breakdown. I could see him returning to EastEnders now.

2 Goshen coaches face charges in topless incident
| Etiquetas: Goshen cheerleader, Victoria Schattauerwo former Goshen High School coaches will appear Nov. 20 in Clinton County Municipal Court on charges stemming from a party where a photograph was taken of a partially nude coach and cheerleader.
Victoria Schattauer, 19, of Loveland has been charged with contributing to the unruliness of a child. It's alleged that she snapped a topless photo of herself and a 15-year-old freshman cheerleader.
Andrew R. Emerson , 19, was charged with providing an alcoholic beverage to the Goshen Township girl during a party at his Blanchester home Oct. 20. Both charges are misdemeanors.
No charges will be brought against the girl. "Based upon her parents' willingness to administer appropriate discipline, her attitude of remorse, and her lack of any criminal record, there are no plans to bring any charges against her," Blanchester Police Chief Scott Reinbolt said.
The student has been disciplined according to the high school's code of conduct and Ohio High School Athletic Association eligibility guidelines, Goshen Superintendent Charlene Thomas said.
Schattauer, who was the freshman cheerleading coach, and Emerson, who was an assistant football coach, were notified last week that their contracts would not be renewed. They were fired from their coaching positions at a Goshen school board meeting Wednesday night.

On the chilly Monday morning that Hollywood's writers went on strike, Heroes creator Tim Kring called from the streets outside the Hollywood studio where his NBC series is shot. ''Yes, I'm picketing my own show,'' says the 50-year-old writer-producer. ''So surreal.''
But Kring wasn't calling to discuss labor woes — he was calling to explain why Heroes, suffering a creative decline and a 15 percent ratings drop from the same period last year, went from Human Torch hot to Iceman cold. The good news? A turnaround appears to be under way. After weeks of sluggish storytelling, the Nov. 5 episode recaptured some of last season's fanciful energy. We've also seen the next two episodes — and we like them, too. The cliff-hangers are back. Narrative purpose has been discovered. Old favorites like Peter (Milo Ventimiglia) and Horn-Rimmed Glasses (Jack Coleman) take center stage. Even more encouraging: Kring himself is keenly aware that Heroes is broken. Here's his candid critique:
THE PACE IS TOO SLOW ''We assumed the audience wanted season 1 — a buildup of intrigue about these characters and the discovery of their powers. We taught [them] to expect a certain kind of storytelling. They wanted adrenaline. We made a mistake.''
THE WORLD-SAVING STAKES SHOULD HAVE BEEN ESTABLISHED SOONER The premonition of nuclear apocalypse created a larger context that unified every story line last season. Kring now sees that Volume 2 (the first 11 episodes of season 2) would have been better served if Peter's vision of viral Armageddon had appeared in the season premiere rather than episode 7. ''We took too long to get to the big-picture story,'' he says.
THE ROOKIES DIDN'T GREET THEMSELVES PROPERLY New Heroes Monica (Dana Davis), Maya (Dania Ramirez), and Alejandro (Shalim Ortiz) ''shouldn't have been introduced in separate story lines that felt unattached to the show. The way we introduced Elle (Kristen Bell) — by weaving her in via Peter's story line — is a more logical way to bring new characters into the show.'' (That said, Kring says a few newbies won't make it beyond this second volume, which wraps Dec. 3.)
HIRO WAS IN JAPAN WAY TOO LONG Hiro's (Masi Oka) time-bending adventure in 17th-century Japan — where he mentored samurai hero Takezo Kensei (David Anders) — finally came to an end on Nov. 5. But Kring says it ''should have [lasted] three episodes. We didn't give the audience enough story to justify the time we allotted it.''
YOUNG LOVE STINKS Kring regrets sticking Claire (Hayden Panettiere) with a super-dud boyfriend and forcing Hiro to moon over a cutesy princess. ''I've seen more convincing romances on TV,'' he admits. ''In retrospect, I don't think romance is a natural fit for us.''
Yet while Heroes has finally found some dramatic traction, this second volume is pretty much a wash. The Dec. 3 episode has been retooled to function as a potential season finale — a move inspired by the writers' strike and a desire to give the show ''a clean slate'' when it goes back into production for Volume 3. At that point, Kring wants to craft a rebooted Heroes that can attract new fans and win back those who've tuned out: ''The message is that we've heard the complaints — and we're doing something about it.''

Lynne Spears say she's responsible for her daughter Britney's troubles. "I blame myself," she tells Life & Style Weekly magazine. "What mother wouldn't?" "I wish I'd been there more while she was touring," Spears says. "But I couldn't be. I had the other kids to look after."
Spears, the mother of three children with ex-husband Jamie Spears, is writing a memoir about raising her family in the public eye. "Pop Culture Mom: A Real Story of Fame and Family in a Tabloid World" is set for release May 11, which is Mother's Day.
"I didn't raise my children to have Hollywood careers. This all just exploded in my face, and big dreams became big headaches," says Spears, who recently reconciled with her 25-year-old pop singer-daughter after a period of estrangement.
Britney Spears, a tabloid fixture thanks to her public blunders and turbulent personal life, was ordered last month to temporarily surrender custody of her sons, Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1, to ex-husband Kevin Federline.
"Here are two parents who care about their kids," Spears says. "They're good people. With my daughter's, Kevin's and the boys' interest at heart, I'm trying my best to bring them together, to bridge the gap. I think things are getting good."

The car being sold on eBay has the same license plate as the car Lindsay crashed into a tree, last May. The smashed car can be seen on YouTube.
The seller of the car states on their eBay ad, “We purchased this car with minor damage in the left front corner from California about 60 days ago.”

Radiohead will release the CD and vinyl versions of their latest album In Rainbows on 31 December.
The band released the download version in October, and fans were invited to put their own price on the 10 MP3 files that made up the album.
Radiohead rejected recent press reports that claimed two-thirds of downloaders paid nothing - but did not reveal their own figures.
Internet monitoring company Comscore found the average price paid was £2.90.
Public consumption
US fans were the most generous according to Comscore, paying on average $8.05 (£3.85), compared with the $4.64 (£2.22) paid by those outside the US.
But the press release from Radiohead's representatives disputed the figures.
"The figures quoted by the company Comscore Inc are wholly inaccurate and in no way reflect definitive market intelligence or, indeed, the true success of the project," read the statement.
"As the album could only be downloaded from the band's website, it is impossible for outside organisations to have accurate figures on sales."
A spokesperson for Radiohead said the band's own figures were "not for public consumption" as "people were still downloading it [the album]".
The study was based on a survey of the online behaviour of "a few hundred" downloaders, a senior analyst for Comscore said.
"There is a small margin of error. We are confident in our data," he added.
Radiohead's single Jigsaw Falling Into Place will be released on 14 January.

Heather Mills McCartney says she's feeling better after venting her rage against estranged husband Paul McCartney and the media in a series of TV interviews last week.
But the 39-year-old activist isn't upset that McCartney was photographed kissing another woman, Nancy Shevell, 47, in the Hamptons on New York's Long Island last weekend.
"It's none of anybody's business what happens in Paul's love life," Mills McCartney said.
McCartney, 65, and Mills McCartney separated last year. They are in the process of negotiating terms for their divorce.
In interviews last week, Mills McCartney accused the ex-Beatle of failing to protect her and their 3-year-old daughter Beatrice; railed against press coverage; and announced a campaign to get European legislation to curb news media.
Returning Thursday to GMTV, Mills McCartney said she's received much support for her campaign.
"It's been unbelievably cathartic. It's the difference between being in prison and being on parole," she said.
"I've had 18 months of the worst press ever and I got the chance to protect myself and my daughter."
"A little girl came up to me and said, `You made me cry last week,' and I felt bad," Mills McCartney added. "I said, `I didn't want to make you cry,' and she said, `I hate those bullying newspapers, I'm never going to buy a newspaper.'"
