Jennifer Aniston, Mayer split: again?

viernes, 30 de enero de 2009 |

The couple, who parted ways at the end of last summer (Aug08) after several months of dating, rekindled their love affair in October (08).

But, reports by Touch magazine suggest that their relationship has hit a bad patch again.

According to the publication, Mayer was seen enjoying an intimate date with a blonde woman in Santa Monica, California on Jan 28.

"They were obviously on a date. He came in with her another time too and I’ve seen them out together. He gave her a long kiss before they left. John has been here six times in the last two weeks but never with Jen,” Contactmusic quoted a source as saying.
Meanwhile, representatives for Jennifer and Mayer could not be reached for comment.

Amy Winehouse burgled

Burglars smashed their way into the 'Rehab' singer's North London property at 4am this morning (30.01.09) - stealing £15,000 worth of her belongings including recording equipment and five guitars - just a couple of days before the singer returns to the UK from the Caribbean island of St Lucia.

A source said: "Amy is devastated. Some of the guitars are irreplaceable due to their sentimental value. The flat is in a real state. It had been cleaned up in preparation for her return."

Police say there are, as yet, no leads in their bid to find the culprits.

A police spokesperson said: "No arrests have been made and our enquiries continue."

Amy, 25, is expected to fly back to London this weekend to start work on her third album, the follow-up to the worldwide hit 'Back to Black'.

She is also set to visit her husband in prison in a bid to stop him filing for divorce.

The troubled star has applied to see Blake Fielder-Civil - who is serving a 27-month sentence for perverting the course of justice and grievous bodily harm - to try and convince him not to end their union of her alleged infidelity.

Amy has been romantically linked to 21-year-old actor Josh Bowman and a fitness instructor named Andrew while holidaying in St. Lucia.

'Lindsay Lohan replaced in film role'

Lindsay Lohan's acting career has been derailed once again after she was apparently dropped her latest film role.

Lilo was reportedly lined-up back in 2006 to star in an adaptation of Oscar Wilde's A Woman Of No Importance.

Filming has been delayed until now but now plans are back on for the movie to go ahead, with the 22-year-old allegedly been replaced by role to Mamma Mia! Star Amanda Seyfried.

Her new single, "My Life Would Suck Without You," will break records on Thursday when it makes the largest leap to No. 1 in the Billboard chart's 50-year history.

The song moves to No. 1 from No. 97 on the Hot 100 chart after selling 280,000 digital downloads in its first week out, according to

Clarkson, 26, has set the record once before: Her 2002 single "A Moment Like This" – the American Idol Season 1 victory track – jumped from No. 52 to No. 1 in a single week.

Since then, the largest-leap record has been broken five times, most recently by Britney Spears's "Womanizer," which jumped from No. 96 to No. 1 last year.

Fans got a sneak peek at Clarkson's new video during last night's Idol episode. It can be viewed in full at

The song is off Clarkson's album All I Ever Wanted, due in stores March 17.

Coldplay ditch Chris Martin for studio session

Coldplay have started recording – without frontman Chris Martin.

The singer revealed he has been cut out of the band's latest sessions while playing an acoustic set this afternoon (January 30) for Absolute Radio in London.

Martin explained the band started without him at the insistence of producer Brian Eno, who wrote the band a letter declaring: "'Viva La Vida' (2008 album) was good. But I know that you can do better."

As a result the band are recording for two weeks without their frontman, who used his spare time to play the short set.

“This should be interesting," Martin told the invited crowd before embarking on a performance that saw him switch between guitar and piano, adding, "I’ve never tried this before.”

Chris Martin played:

'Viva La Vida'
'Life In Technicolour'
'The Scientist'
'Violet Hill'

Lindsay Lohan Explains Dramatic Weight Loss

jueves, 29 de enero de 2009 |

It's nearly impossible to deny that Lindsay Lohan has shed a ton of weight. She was always fairly thin, but in the last few weeks she's been photographed looking scary skinny--we're talking hipbones sticking out!

Tired of the constant media coverage surrounding the disappearance of Lindsay Lohan (literally) her rep issued a statement this morning claiming "stress" is the reason behind the weight loss.

"Lindsay is aware that she's lost some weight due to stress, but we recently did a photo shoot and she ate two full meals."

This is the same rep that told us repeatedly that Lohan was clean while she got one DUI after another. We're not buying it sista!

Sources close to Lindsay claim that her rocky relationship (and breakup) with Samantha Ronson may be to blame. Hope she bounces back before she literally disappears. Skin and bones is not sexy!

Jennifer Aniston's date disaster

The former Friends star revealed one of her biggest disasters when she ordered cherry tomatoes and it went all over her dress.

“I was on a date with this guy...there was a cherry tomato and he bit into it and it was all over my white dress. So that was just one side note. No cherry tomatoes!" quoted her as saying. Jennifer Aniston feels it’s not easy to date these days due to constant scrutiny. "It's not fun," she said.

"You could end the date and shake hands with them and realise it doesn't work and all of a sudden you're a new couple,” she added.

Paris Hilton Insists She's Not Stupid

Paris Hilton says she sometimes acts dumb on television to get laughs, but in real life she's "a strong person" who's been through a lot.

Appearing on the British morning show GMTV to launch her new reality show Paris Hilton's British Best Friend, Hilton, 27, said she cultivated her dumb blonde image for her hit FOX reality show The Simple Life, costarring Nicole Richie, and it became her schtick.

"For five seasons I was stuck doing this character," she says. "It was kind of hard always having to play that character when it's not who I am."

She adds, "I just say jokes but they think I'm serious, which I think is funny, and I think I kind of play up the image sometimes because – whatever – it's just entertainment."

In her British show, 12 young hopefuls battle it out to be crowned her official "British best friend." In real life, Hilton says her fame makes it hard to find close, trustworthy friends.

"It's difficult because you never know what people's intentions are, and I think a lot of girls have become my friend for the wrong reasons and used me," Hilton says. "I didn't realize it but now, throughout the years, I'm realizing who those kind of people are."

Oldboy Will Smith

Will Smith is reportedly set to star in Stevcen Spielberg's new movie.

The 'I Am Legend' actor is in talks to sign up to appear in the director's remake of Chan Wook Park's 'Oldboy', a Korean film which was originally released in 2003.

The film follows a man who gets kidnapped and is held in a shabby cell for 15 years, with no explanation given for his capture.

He is suddenly released and given money, a mobile telephone and clothes and embarks on a journey to discover who destroyed his life so he can seek revenge.

Will is expected to play the lead role in the movie, which has not yet gone into development as the director is looking for a writer to pen the script.

Sarah Palin Meets President Obama

Alaska Governor Sarah Palin said she will attend an exclusive club dinner in Washington this weekend because she could be offered the chance to obtain an audience with the new elected President Barack Obama as he is also expected to attend the elite gathering of Washington's political and media establishment.
Palin said she is participating in outside events, like this Saturday’s Alfalfa Club dinner in the nation’s capital, strictly to promote Alaska's interests as its governor.

Palin said she formed SarahPAC earlier this week, a political fundraising organization, so that she would not be using state funds to attend events that might be considered political. She is the first governor from Alaska who ever formed a PAC, a move that has often preceded presidential runs. However, Palin denied that it means she is already plotting a 2012 presidential bid on Wednesday night, saying that she has no intention whatsoever to participate at the race for the White House.

Sarah Palin rose into the public eye last year as GOP presidential candidate John McCain's running mate. Aides said the PAC will help serve as a vehicle for her political activities going forward, even if that does not mean Palin aims for becoming president.

She also tried to clear things up regarding the fact that she does not have a publisher for a book deal, saying that the amount of $11 million that the media believes she will earn is absolutely laughable.

Mischa Barton's 'lesbian' b'day kiss

The OC star kissed and cuddled her brunette friend outside a Paris nightclub while celebrating her 23rd birthday. Immediately after that, she jetted to the British capital to meet her singer boyfriend. However, it wasn’t the first time Mischa Barton enjoyed a lesbian kiss, reports The Sun.

Mischa has earlier admitted that she preferred the girl-on-girl scenes because they were "more natural".

In fact, she also frolicked with Rachel Evan Wood in 2006 film Once and Again.

Dannii Minogue facing X Factor axe

Dannii Minogue is set to be fired from 'The X Factor'.

The star - who has been a judge on the UK TV talent show for the past two series - will apparently get axed from the programme if boss Simon Cowell can find a replacement in time for the next run of auditions.

A source said: "It's no secret they like to revamp the show every year. The chatter about Dannii going is deafening. But it has to be the right person, otherwise there is no point in replacing her.

"They want someone as good as Cheryl Cole, who has been sensational."

Stars rumoured to be taking 37-year-old Dannii's seat on the panel include 'The Fear' singer Lily Allen and songstress turned TV presenter Charlotte Church.

Simon has previously hinted Dannii would be dropped from the show.

When Dannii was asked at a press conference last year if she would be returning, she looked at Simon who laughed: "It's a nice ceiling, isn't it?"

He added: "If you had asked me the same thing last year about Sharon Osbourne I would have said I am assuming it's going to be the same panel.

"But then you sit down with lawyers and the agents and the managers get involved, blah blah blah, so you have got to keep an open mind."

Take That have dished up more saucy secrets from their Robbie Williams days, with a shocking new confession.

Howard Donald revealed he and Robbie once pleasured themselves in front of each other as the others watched.

Donald, 40, says the session happened in the early days with fellow band mate Mark Owen watching on.

'It were me and Rob…it only happened once', Donald is quoted saying in Q magazine.

'That was an odd one, that' Owen, 37, confessed, stressing 'I think I was more of an observer.'

Howard's admission comes after lead singer admitted to bedding a fan in Amsterdam during their nineties heyday.

Jennifer Aniston Turns Down Playboy

The nude neck tie GQ photos Jennifer Aniston took a few months back may have been the best career move she's made in years.

Not only did she capture the attention of just about every man and woman on the planet, she got the attention of Playboy founder Hugh Hefner.

Speaking of the photos, Hef said: “This looks like the cover of Playboy. I’m much impressed by Jennifer. Is it just me or is Jennifer Aniston getting hotter?…Never seen her in this light before.”

Well shortly after he made those comments he put his money where is mouth is. He reportedly offered her $4 million dollars to pose for his magazine but unfortunately, Jenn turned him down.

He was reportedly willing to go all the way up to $10 million, but Jenn said she has no intention of taking off her clothes for his magazine. Good for her!

He may not get Jenn, but he can always get Pam to do it. She seems so out of whack lately, she'd probably do it for free. Just a thought.

Jessica Simpson Shows Fuller Figure

Jessica Simpson has spent some time in recording more country music and in adding some fat to her curves. The one who had once been a famous pop-star now turned her musical influences to the country style, which seem to fit her better. What about the fuller curves she showed off during the performance at the KISS Country Chili Cookoff?

On Sunday in Pembroke Pines, Florida, Simpson seemed not to be ashamed of her fuller-than-usual figure and wore some high-waist jeans which discovered her extra-kilos. The belt with leopard print and the low-cut tank surely shocked Simpson’s fans.

In 2007, the singer told Harper’s Bazaar that “curves are better.” She then added that she didn’t understand all the things connected to this, such as unhealthy and unfitted for the mind. She declared herself as being a “nervous eater” but happy with her fuller waist and figure.

One of her best friends told the Daily News that Simpson is threw with complaining about herself or the way she looks. Supposedly, her wish is not to fit into a 2 size jeans but to feel comfortable with her figure and she seems to feel just great about the way she looks.

Simpson started to gain some more weight as soon as she started her tour and many believed that she was pregnant with her boyfriend, Tony Romo. Yet, they aren’t expecting a baby, but her shouts about eagerly wanting to see Romo showed that the singer has truly found her love.

Simpson rose fame back in 1990 and achieved seven Billboard Top 40 Hits, winning three gold and two multi-platinum RIAA-certified albums.

Pussycat Dolls' Lewis grilling

Lewis Hamilton was interrogated by the Pussycat Dolls before he could date lead singer Nicole Scherzinger.

The sexy girl group wanted to make sure the 24-year-old Formula One racing driver was a "nice guy" and not "a playboy".

Melody Thornton, 24, said: "When we found out Lewis was a racing driver we were like, 'Hold on a minute, he better not be a playboy.'

"So we asked him all sorts. What were his intentions, if he was a nice guy, did he know how to treat her right, did he bring her flowers and pull out chairs on dates?

"We didn't mess about and gave him a tough time as we do with all new boyfriends. We are very protective of each other - especially when a new guy comes into the fold."

Lewis charmed the girls, by impressing them with his English accent and being the perfect gentleman.

Kimberly Wyatt, 26, told Britain's The Daily Mirror newspaper: "Lewis is so quiet and well mannered and he makes Nicole happy. We love the fact that he's British."

Nicole recently said she was happier than she has ever been, and is already planning her future with Lewis, who she has been dating since last February.

She said: "We'd love to have beautiful angel babies together. We'd sing 'Don't Cha' to them. Lewis knows all the words."

The actor has said that he feels "flattered" when gay fans have a crush on him. The actor, whose role in Equus has won him a large following in the gay community, has appeared naked onstage in both the West End and Broadway version of the musical.

The 19-year-old has said that his male fan following has come as a welcome change from his hordes of screaming female fans. "For a lot of straight guys and I know I’m guilty of it sometimes - when you know a gay guy has a crush on you, it is the most flattering thing,” Contactmusic quoted him as telling the Daily Beast website.

However, the young actor shares a comfortable rapport with homosexual men and has owed his show business upbringing for teaching him tolerance towards other lifestyles. He said, "My mum was a casting director and my dad was a literary agent and I was surrounded by gay men from a very young age.”

"And I was the only boy in my class at school who had that kind of relationship with gay men. Most of my friends had parents who had proper jobs in banks and law firms so none of them had been exposed to homosexuality in the way I had - as a normal course of things. So they had a rather different attitude toward it than I," he said.

Paris Hilton caught gate-crashing at a party

After she made her way into the party, CAA’s Kevin Huvane loudly demanded that she be shown the way out, as she was not invited. “Kevin was outraged at her sense of entitlement, and he was adamant that she be removed,” the New York Daily News quoted a source, as saying.

“He was storming around, yelling ‘Who let her in? She is not invited, and somebody had better get her out of here immediately,’” the source added. After hearing Huvane’s ranting, security lined up outside the bathroom where Hilton hid herself and 15 minutes later, the hotel heiress came out red-faced.

Boy George in Prison for 15 Months

Boy George, 47, the front man of the former famous group Culture Club, was sentenced on Friday to 15 months in prison. The prosecutors found him guilty in December 2007 of falsely imprisoning Norwegian male escort Audun Carlsen. George O’Dowd, which is the singer’s real name, denied the charges brought against him and declared that he didn’t do all the things he had been accused of at his flat in London in April, 2007.

Judge David Radford told O’Dowd back in December that following his conviction, he might face a prison term too. Yet, the lawyers didn’t expect him to be sentenced to so many months. They had expected at least three months or a suspended sentence.

The trial took place in a courtroom at Snaresbrook Crown Court in east London, where friends and family of the 47-year-old singer burst into tears at hearing the long sentence. Yet, he had no reaction when the jury read the 15 months in jail. Dressed in a black coat and sweater with his head shaved, O’Dowd seemed impassively.

The Judge who handled the case stated that O’Dowd was worth to receive such a sentence, especially after the serious offence he had brought to Carlsen. He added that the man whom had been imprisoned by the singer was "shocked, degraded and traumatized."

Yet, Boy George told the police that he had invited Carlsen to his house after a cocaine-fueled pornographic photo shoot in January, 2007, because he suspected that the Norwegian had stolen pictures from his computer. On the other side, Carlsen said that O’Dowd had handcuffed him and beaten him with a chain because he hadn’t slept with him when they first met.

Yet, the 47-year-old didn’t offer any kind of evidence during the trail, but his lawyer, Adrian Waterman, tried to protect him by saying that he had been under drug influence when he did such thing and that he is now recovering.

Robert Pattinson's kiss and tell

Little Ashes star Robert Pattinson isn't scared of kiss and tells coming out about him.

Robert jokes that he would kill anyone who did decide to sell a story on him.

He told OK magazine: "I'd kill them! Actually I don't think I've had anything interesting enough to warrant a kiss and tell.

"Although I've been surprised with some acquaintances - they've been saying little things that you hear through the grapevine and you suddenly realise what someone's really like."

Robert doesn't have lots of showbiz friends so knows that he can trust them.

He added: "I've had a very close-knit group of friends for a really long time and I know that none of them would ever do anything like that."

Rob doesn't seem to rate himself very highly. When the magazine asked about his ex girlfriends he replied: "I don't think they'd even remember who I am."

Jennifer, who had attended the event with Anthony, insisted that she was just making a fashion statement by not wearing her wedding ring.

“Every time I’m not wearing my ring, people think I’m getting divorced. That’s crazy. It just didn’t go with the dress,” Contactmusic quoted her as telling American magazine In Touch .

“Divorce is not and was never an option,” she added.

The two have been in the media’s eye for weeks, with one U.S. tabloid claiming that the couple would announce their break-up on St. Valentine’s Day.

But their publicists have dismissed the claims as “nonsense”, with Jennifer’s music mogul pal Benny Medina telling the publication that they are still together.

“Jennifer and Marc are committed to the future and to each other,” Benny said.

Watchmen movie gets the go-ahead

Superhero movie Watchmen will be released as planned on 6 March after two Hollywood studios resolved a legal dispute over copyright.

20th Century Fox blocked the $130m (£87m) Warner Bros movie claiming it had held the film rights since 1986.

But Warner Bros argued Fox had lost the rights to the celebrated graphic novel and was owed nothing more than a right of first refusal.

The studios settled after a judge ruled Fox did have an interest.

Set in an alternative 1985 and with the world perched on the brink of nuclear war, the story follows a group of costumed crime fighters trying to solve the murder of one of their own.

The studios released a joint statement which said: "Warner Bros. and Fox, like all Watchmen fans, look forward with great anticipation to this film's 6 March release in theatres."

The novel, written by British author Alan Moore and illustrated by Dave Gibbons, has had a tortured course to the big screen and numerous attempts have been made to adapt the material.

The book is still considered "un-filmable" by some devoted fans .

Watchmen's director, Zack Snyder, turned another graphic novel, Frank Miller's 300, into a blockbuster in 2007.

Lindsay Lohan shocks with weight loss

jueves, 15 de enero de 2009 |

Lindsay Lohan sparked health fears after showing off her diminishing frame in pair of drain pipe jeans during a shopping trip with on-off girlfriend Samantha Ronson.

Lilo, 22, looked half the woman she used to be as she stepped out on a unity-showing with Ronson, 31, as they hit the shops together around Beverly Hills.

Their outing is the first time they have been seen together in public since denying rumours they'd busted up for good following a string of spats over New Years.

It looks like Lilo's curvaceous bod has been taking the brunt of her love woes, with her thighs appearing drastically slimmer than her days back on the beach.

Paris Hilton's website hacked?

They have infected her website with a parasite virus which steals personal details from subscribers’ computers.

Thousands of her fans have been hit by the virus, and has spread to up to 15,000 other websites.

The virus, discovered by computer safety consultant ScanSafe, prompts fans to update their systems then downloads to their system.

With the help of the virus, thieves can extract personal details such as bank information from a home computer or sensitive corporate material from a company network.

"Internet users should be especially cautious. Sites such as are extremely attractive targets for online criminals," the Mirror quoted ScanSafe researcher Mary Landesman as saying.

Only 24 hours ago Victoria Beckham flashed her knickers to the world in a set of sexy new photographs for Emporio Armani.

But before she could even get dressed again her very own 'single white female' has come out of the woodwork to steal her thunder.

Today former best-buddy-turned-fashion-rival, Katie Holmes, has stepped up her own PR push, unveiling a new collection for rival fashion house Miu Miu – a spin off of Prada – and the results look unsurprisingly familiar.

Katie wasn't daring enough to flash flesh as she dressed in a golden frock. But there's no prizes for guessing who her inspiration was for hair and make-up.

Holmes lops off her locks and has gone for Posh's well received pixie-crop.

She's also smoked up her cats-eyes sixties-style, a la Posh Armani.

And if Katie thought she'd be keeping her influences under wraps, the final giveaway is that she even used Posh's photographers Mert & Marcus, who shot Beckham for Armani.

They say Katie was picked because of her 'certain Fellini-esque chaotic excess' but whether her excessive demands included a £12million fee like Posh is yet to be revealed.

It's not the first time Holmes has been accused of rummaging through Posh's box of tricks after she famously copied Posh's 'Pob' haircut after a trip to Paris together.

In the weeks after, Beckham's bug-eyed blackout sunglasses were then used by Katie to fend off the paparazzi flashes.

And if we're not mistaken, we've seen Katie's Miu Miu pout somewhere before too.

Posh famously boasts about practicing in the mirror and it looks like Katie might have been practicing alongside her in the latest shots.

Now we wait with baited breath to see if Tom Cruise will be copying Becks with his own range of bulging skimpies... Go on Tom!

Robert Pattinson has just admitted that his favourite character in Twilight is James.

He told mä "James. That's the only other character I would have like to have played."

We think Robert is far too good looking to play evil James as Stephenie Meyer describes him as quite unremarkable and average-looking in her book.

Plus Cam Gigandet makes a brilliant James so it would be hard for Rob to beat him.

If Robert could have any superpower he would pick the ability to stop and start time.

He has some reservations though: "I don't really want many superpowers because once you have superpowers people will just say 'Hey can you use your superpowers for this.'

"It's like having money, once you have loads of money everyones like 'Can I borrow some money' it's like I don't want to give you any of my superpowers alright."

"Gossip Girl" spins a new tale

It's been the biggest mystery on the CW's "Gossip Girl" this season. No, it's not whether Lily and Rufus will find their love child, though the two are conspicuously related. It's whether the show will launch a spinoff.

After months of gossip and speculation, "Gossip" creators/executive producers Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage are proceeding with a spinoff that will serve as a prequel to the hot sophomore drama and chronicle the wild teen years of Lily van der Woodsen (Kelly Rutherford) in Los Angeles in the 1980s.

The network has ordered a "backdoor pilot" for the project, which will air as a "Gossip" episode May 11.

"There has been a lot of speculation about a 'Gossip Girl' spinoff, but we were adamant that it had to be the right time and the right idea," Schwartz said.

Written by Schwartz and Savage, the spinoff will center on young Lily Rhodes (her maiden name) who, after a falling out with her parents, is forced to move in with her sister, the black sheep of the Rhodes family. Overnight, Lily has to transition from a life of luxury and schooling at a wealthy Montecito boarding school to living deep in the San Fernando Valley she once made fun of and going to public school. Caught between two worlds, Lily dives into the fast-paced Sunset Strip and the Hollywood lifestyle of the '80s, journeying over the hill to a world of wealth and excess that used to be her own.

Eventually, she meets rocker Rufus Humphrey (played on "Gossip" by Matthew Settle) for a fling that will result in Lily's secret pregnancy.

Unlike the original series, which is based on Alloy Entertainment's series of novels, the spinoff is based on an original idea by Schwartz and Savage.

Instead of utilizing a character from the Manhattan-based "Gossip" to anchor a spinoff, Schwartz and Savage settled on a prequel idea that is set in a different city and different time than the original series as they didn't want to "diminish 'Gossip Girl' in any way."

"We didn't want to upset the chemistry of our cast -- all of whom are crucial to the show," Savage said. "Nor did we want to dilute New York City as a character."

By doing a prequel, if it goes to series, different versions of some characters will co-exist on two shows.

"We are inspired by the opportunity to tell overlapping stories and introduce characters that will appear in the past and the present -- and hopefully enrich both shows," Schwartz said. "We love exploring fashion, pop culture, music and a heightened world that's just a little more fun than the one we actually live in. L.A. in the '80s totally fits the bill."

The troubled singer has resorted to desperate measures after resort staff promised her management they wouldn't serve her drinks at the lavish destination, where Amy is planning to stay for another two months.

A source said: "We keep catching her crawling past bars or hiding behind chairs. She grabs guests' drinks and runs off like a squirrel with a nut."

Amy - who begins her day with a yoga class - is also said to be begging fellow holidaymakers to get alcoholic drinks from the bar to take to her room but is infuriating guests with her bizarre behaviour.

One guest said: "One minute she is very pleasant saying, 'Alright darling' and talking to people and having photos taken. Then next she is throwing things and swearing her head off."

Another added to Britain's The Sun newspaper: "She's like a child craving attention. It's embarrassing. She comes in for dinner barefoot and in her bikini, even though the dress code is smart casual.

"Then she will go and sit on her balcony topless playing the guitar when she knows everyone is trying to sleep." As well as her drunken antics and flirting with male staff, Amy has also got into physical fights while intoxicated.

The source added: "During a fight with a friend, Amy tore off long acrylic nails she had fitted. She came up with her fingers bleeding and asked for a cotton bud."

Despite her behaviour, 25-year-old Amy has played down her drinking.

She was overheard on the phone to her father Mitch saying: "I feel great. I've only had a few drinks dad - honest."

Robert Pattinson's older woman love

Robert Pattinson isn't afraid to fancy women who are older than him.

Last year Robert had a bit of a crush on Hollow Man actress Elizabeth Shue.

When he was asked about this during an interview for Samedi Magazine he replied: "Yes, I remember. There was Elizabeth Shue, Patricia Arquette, who must be 50 today, and Dana Delany from Desperate Housewives.

"So what? Age doesn't matter to me and like I said I don't really have a type."

Robert also revealed that Twilight producers hadn't been too keen on him being Edward Cullen.

He says: "It's true. When they mentioned my name in high places, someone shrugged his shoulders and said: "Robert who?" They weren't ready to bet on a stranger.

"They would have loved to find a 17 year old Leonardo DiCaprio."

Jennifer Hudson To Perform At Super Bowl

Jennifer Hudson has been keeping a low profile since the tragic killing of her family last fall, but she is ready to face the world again making her first public appearance at the Super Bowl next month.

The NFL confirmed that Hudson is scheduled to perform the national anthem at the event in Tampa, Fla., on February 1. E! Online's Marc Malkin reported the news exclusively.

"She certainly can nail it," a source told Malkin about Hudson’s return to the stage. "She proved it at the Democratic National Convention." In August last year, Hudson sang the national anthem as then-Sen. Barack Obama accepted the Democratic Party nomination. She was previously rumored to sing at the inauguration of President-Elect Barack Obama on January 20 but her camp downplayed the reports.

On February 6, Hudson is reported to perform at a MusiCares Neil Diamond tribute in Hollywood, the night before the Grammy Awards ceremony, but the rumors are yet to be confirmed.

The Oscar-winning singer and actress, who rose to fame as a contestant on “American Idol,” hasn’t been spotted in public since losing her mother, Darnell Donerson, older brother Michael and 7-year-old nephew Julian King, who were brutally murdered in Chicago roughly two months ago. Her estranged brother-in-law, William Balfour, is currently behind bars indicted on all three counts of murder.

Katrina Darrell would fit somewhere in between the two categories. Slim, beautiful, and clad only in a mini - bikini, Katrina Darrell defiantly performed in front of a visibly surprised panel of "American Idol" judges. Performing a mediocre rendition of "Vision of Love," Darrell got passes from both slack-jawed male judges, Simon Cowell and Randy Jackson. New judge Kara DioGuardi offered a very vociferous negative. Paula Abdul, never one to hurt anyone's feelings, said nothing about the performance until after Darrell was told she was going to Hollywood.

But you knew the moment bikini girl Katrina Darrell was singled out on "American Idol" that at least her audition would be memorable. In a segment leading up to the audition, Ryan Seacrest, the host of "American Idol," approached the near-nothing wearing Darrell and, taking her hand, said, "I didn't even see your hands." Then there was a brief flirting scene, with Katrina Darrell telling Seacrest that she was going to make out with him and Seacrest, eyes noticeably averted to the point of strain, hesitatingly saying that he thought it was against the rules.

Katrina said she wanted to be "noticed." And she was, to the point of distraction. Being nude has that affect on people.

Walking into the audition room, eyes were raised all around. Simon Cowell and Randy Jackson could not decide whether to smile, laugh, or simply gawk. There were a couple "Wows" from the two female judges. Randy Jackson asked the contestant, "Do you go out to all auditions dressed like this?"

Katrina Darrell: "No, just this one."

Simon Cowell said, "Let me tell you: It's smart." Randy laughed.

Kara DioGuardi, not impressed, asked the contestant to do a turnaround "for the guys," then pointedly asked Simon if there was anything else he'd like to see. He said, "I'm fine."

Britney Spears to star in SATC film?

martes, 13 de enero de 2009 |

Sarah Jessica Parker is apparently keen to cast Britney Spears in the next Sex And The City movie.

The actress thinks the Womanizer singer would be perfect in the eagerly anticipated sequel to last year's hit flick, says Heat magazine.

It seems Britney - who impressed critics with her cameo on US TV show How I Met Your Mother last year - would play a young relative of SJP's character Carrie Bradshaw.

Sarah Jessica told friends: "My idea is to have someone like Britney Spears move to New York as my cousin or niece and Carrie would show her the ropes."

It wouldn't be the first time mum-of-two Britney has been on the big screen - the 27-year-old appeared in chick flick Crossroads seven years ago but the road trip movie was slated by critics.

Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon are expected to reprise their roles in the SATC sequel.

Heath Ledger Globe will go to daughter

Heath Ledger's parents say his posthumous Golden Globe for The Dark Knight should go to his 3-year-old daughter Matilda.

Speaking from the late actor's family home in Perth, Australia, Ledger's father Kim said he watched the awards ceremony with "bittersweet pride".

The actor died of an accidental drug overdose prior to the film's release.

His role as the Joker has also won a Critics Choice award and is expected to get an Academy Award nomination.

Ledger received a standing ovation from the audience when he was named best supporting actor. The award was accepted on his behalf by director Christopher Nolan.

"A standing ovation breaks you up," said Kim Ledger.

He added: "That really goes to the heart, you know."

In an interview with People magazine, Ledger's mother, Sally Bell, said: "I should imagine that eventually it will be going to Matilda.

"It will belong to her because she is part of him."

She has described the recognition the 29-year-old actor had been getting for his work as an "emotional rollercoaster".

"There is a lot of emotion tied up in this and we have to deal with that emotion first before we can relax and enjoy the moment," she said.

Matilda is the daughter of Ledger and actress Michelle Williams.

The couple separated a few months before his death and the child is being raised by Williams.

Meanwhile, the 2009 Golden Globes saw a 27% slump in viewers since the last ceremony in 2007.

It averaged 14.6 million viewers, down from 20 million two years ago and the lowest since 1996.

Last year's ceremony was cancelled due to the Hollywood screenwriters strike.

Fergie’s Mom Spoils Fergalicious Wedding Details

More details on Fergie’s wedding to Josh Duhamel emerged straight from the singer’s mother who called into Ryan Seacrest’s radio show to talk about the “amazing” event.

“It was such a blast — 350, 375 people were there and that was keeping [the number of invitees] way down,” Fergie's mother, Terri Jackson, said during an interview on Ryan Seacrest's KIIS-FM radio show Monday. “So many people couldn't bring a date unless they paid me money or something! It had to be someone you're actually engaged to or something like that.”

Fergie, whose real name is Stacy Ann Ferguson, and longtime boyfriend Josh Duhamel exchanged vows this past weekend in Malibu, Calif. during a private ceremony at the Church Estates Vineyards. Fergie's sister, Dana, served as maid of honor.

“I've never seen either of them look more beautiful,” Terri gushed, adding that the 10 Dolce & Gabbana bridesmaid dresses “were amazing.”

The reception, which was held in tents lit up with thousands of twinkle lights, was animated by Kid Rock and, who put up a real show, which according to Terri would have cost anyone a fortune to see.

Making a surprise performance: “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” star, and one of Fergie’s childhood friends, Alfonso Ribeiro, impressed the crowds singing Michael Jackson's smash “Billie Jean.”

”He was amazing,” Terri Jackson recalled. “That guy can sing! Fergie and he have been friends for years.”

Celebrity guests included the other Black Eyed Peas band members, new parents Rebecca Romijn and Jerry O'Connell, Mario Lopez, Stacy Keibler, Kate Hudson, Slash and "Las Vegas" costars James Caan, Molly Sims and Vanessa Marcil.

“[It was so much fun] you can hear it in my voice!” a hoarse-sounding Terri added.

Robert Pattinson's murder worry

Millions of girls might love Edward Cullen like he is a real person but actor Robert Pattinson seems to think it's a bit strange.

The Twilight actor explained to "If Edward was not a fictional character and you just met him in reality, you know, he's one of those guys who'd be like an axe murderer.

"He's ultra-polite and really formal all the time and like, 'Let me open the door! Let me carry the bags!'"

"Literally, you can just tell he'd freak out one day and shoot someone."

The 22-year-old isn't afraid to speak his mind and allegedly even told the author of Twilight Stephenie Meyer that she was wrong about Edward.

He explains: "(Stephenie) was saying that he was happier than I thought he was and he enjoyed certain aspects of his supernatural abilities, and I just thought he wouldn't at all.

"I was just thinking how much, if I was in his position, I'd just think 'Wow, I can jump really high. Great. But I have to kill people in return.'
"But you know, I can see where she was coming from. It's her creation at the end of the day."

Amy’s circus acts trouble guests

The Rehab hitmaker, who has been at the hotel since the New Year, had reportedly shelled out 32,000 pounds to fly friends to soak up the sun with her in the Caribbean.

The singer has apparently been infuriating staff and other guests at the posh Le Sport hotel with her drunken cavorting and crazy antics, reports the Sun .

Amy, her ‘budding-actor-beau’ Josh Bowman, and friends were said to have smashed a bed and lamp in her room during a pillow fight that went out of control.

She was alleged to be have stripped off to her birthday suit and giving her “new man” a lap dance by the time security entered.

The pop star, who vowed to make a fresh start in 2009, including getting rid off her drug and alcohol addiction, purportedly also irked others by screaming and swearing during the Manchester United v Chelsea game on TV in the hotel bar.

Amy had recently almost got herself charged with assault after she threw a glass of water at a woman tourist, while having dinner at the plush resort.

Aaron Eckhart's Batman return?

Aaron Eckhart has hinted he may return for the next Batman film.

The actor - who played District Attorney Harvey Dent and later the villainous Two-Face in 'The Dark Knight' - suggested the audience may have been deceived by the apparent demise of his character.

He said: "I think Harvey - if he's not dead - is in a serious coma, and I'm not sure he's coming out. They might pull the plug on him."

At the end of 'The Dark Knight', Batman pushes Two-Face off a building and leaves him lying on the ground.

Aaron also hinted that director Christopher Nolan - who helmed both 'Batman Begins' and 'The Dark Knight' - has now signed up to make another film in the franchise.

He added: "There are so many possibilities for the next movie. Chris is such an amazing genius that he'll come up with something great."

Actor Patrick Swayze, who has been undergoing treatment for inoperable stage-four pancreatic cancer, checked into a hospital Friday morning with pneumonia. In the meantime, Swayze was scheduled to join costar Travis Fimmel and producers in presenting A&E's new drama “The Beast” to critics.

Recently Swayze has been in the news for his battle with stage-four pancreatic cancer, of which he has not received a very positive diagnosis in his battle with the disease. Now he is facing a bought of pneumonia, which is probably related to his weakened immune system as a result of cancer treatments.

Before he was placed in the hospital on Friday morning, Swayze was supposed to make an appearance on the TCA winter press tour in Universal City. The intent was to continue promotion for his brand new television series, which is set to have its premiere shortly.

According to A&E reps, Swayze specifically asked that the show go on and that they pass along a message from him about how "unbelievably proud" he is of the work they've done so far on “The Beast.”

At the event, Bill Rotko, creator of “The Beast,” says: "Although you forget sometimes that Patrick's going through treatment for cancer, it brings you very close together. There's a tremendous amount of respect going on." In this current show, Swayze plays an FBI agent, Charles Barker, training a young new partner, Ellis Dove (Travis Fimmel).

According to John Romano, exec producer and showrunner of “The Beast,” producers of the series are looking forward to shooting a season two of the series with Swayze. The first, 13-episode season had finished all of its filming by November. Producers insisted they're confident that Swayze will be ready for a second season.

Swayze, 56, announced last May that he had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. In a recent interview with Barbara Walters of ABC, Swayze said that his cancer battle has been "a nightmare."

Swayze appeared on the ABC, NBC, and CBS simulcast of “Stand Up to Cancer” in September 2008, to appeal to the general public for donations for the initiative. Swayze said to a standing ovation, "I dream that the word 'cure' will no longer be followed by the words 'it's impossible.' Together, we can make a world where cancer no longer means living with fear, without hope, or worse."

He is best-known as a romantic leading man in films such as “Dirty Dancing” (1987) and “Ghost” (1990), for which he received Golden Globe nominations, along with his performance in “To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar” (1995). He was listed by People magazine as its "Sexiest Man Alive" in 1991.

Secret behind Britney's 'magical' ring

lunes, 12 de enero de 2009 |

The 27-year-old singer was spotted wearing a tourmaline rock, which boosts inner strength and provides a sense of stability.

Celebrity designer Dara Dubinet gifted the ring to the ‘ Womaniser’ star to help her get back on track following her public breakdown last year, reports the China Daily .

"I made the ring with Britney in mind. When something is made with good intention, it carries that positive energy to the person who ends up wearing it," she told Life and Style Weekly magazine.

It is believed that Britney has lost confidence in her dancing ability, and has been missing rehearsals for her new world tour because she is too embarrassed.

She is reluctant to dance in front of choreographer Wade Robson, with whom she has been working since 1999.

"She didn't want him to see that she's not as good as she used to be," said a source.

Jailbird Blake Fielder-Civil has filed to divorce sun-loving wife Amy Winehouse from his prison cell.

The jailed thug is reportedly filing on the grounds of adultery after being shown pictures of the star cavorting in the Caribbean with hunky rugby ace Josh Bowman.

Celebrity lawyer Henri Brandman claims Blake will go for half of Wino's fortune and could claim up to £10million.

Meanwhile, the singer has been visited by father Mitch in St Lucia, who has flown out to comfort her after 21-year-old Bowman left the island.

Winehouse, who declares her infatuation for acting hopeful Josh has turned her life around, was seen kissing him goodbye as he left the Le Sport resort on a mini-bus.

Robert Pattinson's age problem

Robert Pattinson might be about to cause a few problems for his new director.

The Twilight actor has admitted in the past that his modelling career failed because he lost his boyish looks too early so Twilight fans are keeping their fingers crossed that the same thing doesn't happen again.

Producer Greg Mooradian thinks they can avoid this problem of Robert ageing too quick.

He told Film Fantasy: "We're going to go as fast as humanly possible, especially since there are at least four stories to tell.

"We'd like to keep a real consistency as to how quickly we are able to do it. Some of the other stories are even bigger productions, so they require more prep time."

Author Stephenie Meyer added: "It makes sense in a world where actors are actually aging, and our characters aren't."

Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner don't have the same problem as they can age between films.

A security guard quickly reacted and grabbed Diana.

An onlooker said the star was clearly frightened but like a true performer, she took just five minutes to compose herself before carrying on her set.

Britney Spears' confidence ring

viernes, 9 de enero de 2009 |

Britney Spears is wearing a 'magic' ring to give her confidence.

The 'Womanizer' singer has been spotted wearing a tourmaline band, which claims to boost inner strength and provide a sense of stability.

The rock was given to her by the celebrity designer Dara Dubinet to help her get back on track following her public breakdown last January.

Dara told Life and Style Weekly magazine: "I made the ring with Britney in mind. When something is made with good intention, it carries that positive energy to the person who ends up wearing it."

It was recently claimed Britney has lost confidence in her dancing ability and has been missing rehearsals for her new world tour because she is too embarrassed.

The 27-year-old star - who is preparing for her first arena tour in five years - is said to be reluctant to dance in front of choreographer Wade Robson, who she has worked with since 1999.

A source said: "She didn't want him to see that she's not as good as she used to be."

Britney kicks off her tour in New Orleans on March 3.

According to a source close to the couple, nothing has been made official. The supermodel might have to wait a little longer to receive her ring.

"But there is nothing stopping them from getting engaged. It could happen any day," Fox News quoted the source as saying. It was recently reported that the American footballer had proposed to Gisele on a private jet, decorated with white roses and champagne especially for her.

It was also believed that Gisele’s parents were onboard to witness the cheerful moment.

Tom Cruise has broken down on live TV as he was asked to comment on the death of the son of his close Scientology friend John Travolta.

The actor was lost for words on The View programme as host Barbara Walters quizzed him on his thoughts on the 'horrific' death of Jett and the controversy sounding the 16-year-old's demise last Friday.

Stammering, Cruise finally mustered his thoughts to defend his and Travolta's religion hitting back at speculation that Jett may have been deprived prescription drugs to combat his tendency to suffer regular seizures - believed to have caused his death.

Walters asked: 'Tom, I do want to ask you something that's very sensitive. We'd been talking earlier and a lot of people are about John Travolta and the terrible tragedy with his son, Jett. You're very close to John - and John and Kelly. What are your thoughts?'

Speechless, Cruise welled up before responding: 'I just don't have the words for it.'

After gathering himself, The Valkyrie star started: 'It's just horrific.'

He then broke again, as he told: 'Here you have a man, both of them doting parents, they're wonderful people and…'

The star then tried to eradicate speculation the Travolta's had been anything other than doting parents, telling:

'I remember Jett when he was born,' said Cruise, 46.

'I saw him when he was just a few months old and John just adored him, and both of his children, and Kelly.'

The actor then used the opportunity to defend the practices of his and Travolta's religion, saying a boycott on medical attention was a myth.

'That's just not true,' Cruise said.

'They say, “Get your physical, get your medication, get your physical illnesses handled.”'

Cruise's appearance comes after the Travoltas held a private memorial service for their son at their £5million Florida home Thursday.

Robert Pattinson breaks down in London

Robert Pattinson might have millions of fans and a great movie career but he still misses home.

Robert told Frida magazine: "Yes, I miss being able to go for a walk. And I miss the smell of London!"

"I landed in London recently, on my way to Rome, and I almost cried because I missed it so much. And I miss my dog."

He might be moving home soon though. When he was asked whether he was living in Los Angeles he replied: "Yeah, kind of… But I haven't moved here for good.

"I live in a rented apartment where all of the furniture is rented. Mostly I walk around waiting for something good to turn up."

Robert is determined to be the best actor he can be.

He says: "I definitely want to continue with acting for a while now!

"I've worked for so long now and received nothing, so when everything is working it would feel silly to waste it all away."

Billy Elliot star Jamie Bell has revealed how Daniel Craig saved him from dying on the set of their new film Defiance.

The upcoming Brit told how Craig broke from his notorious cold-hearted stance to rescue Bell as he went into hypothermic shock as they filmed in the freezing conditions in Lithuania.

'The conditions were ripe for a bout of, “I'm not f**king doing this!” but the closest we got was Daniel standing up for me one day in the rain at the end of October, it was absolutely freezing,' reveals Bell, 22.

'My body started to lose control, going into hypothermic shock, I think. He said, 'We have to stop, he's starting to freak out and he's going to die'.

Commending Craig, no famed for playing tough-as-nuts James Bond, the xx-year-old says: 'It's daft, because you do have to be butch in the presence of Bond, but Daniel has a really good heart and said, 'You need to take a second and then come back'.

'He's very much the leader that he portrays in this film.'

Britney's new single branded 'extremely suggestive'

jueves, 8 de enero de 2009 |

The third single from Britney Spears' new album, Circus, is set to be released this month, titled 'If U Seek Amy' and has been labeled 'extremely suggestive' by critics.

The upbeat party tune accompanies Womanizer and Circus on the hit album that sold more than 505,000 copies in its first week out.

The risqué lyrics to the new melody say: “All of the boys / and all of the girls are begging to / If you seek Amy.”

To follow her amazing comeback, the singer is set to start her world tour in early March, opening in her home state of Louisiana.

'Emotionless' Lindsay Lohan

Lindsay Lohan was "emotionless" on a night out without Samantha Ronson.

The 'Mean Girls' star - whose relationship with the DJ is said to be in trouble - was seen at the Apple Lounge in West Hollywood on Tuesday (06.01.09) and didn't appear to be enjoying her evening out with friends.

A source said: "She was hanging out in a cabana with owner Allison Melnick and two girlfriends, no Samantha in sight.

"She seemed kind of indifferent, emotionless. It was definitely apparent her friends were trying to cheer her up. It looked to be a 'first night back out on the town' sort of thing."

Earlier in the day, DJ Samantha, 30, was seen looking "sad" walking around Hollywood alone.

An onlooker revealed: "Sam seemed very lost in her thoughts and really unhappy."

It has been claimed Lindsay has moved out of Samantha's house and is staying with her manager.

Earlier this week, Lindsay branded rumours the couple had split up "gross".

The 22-year-old star insisted: "We didn't break up. No. People need to stop creating drama, it's gross."

Lindsay and Samantha were reported to have had a furious row on New Year's Eve (31.01.09), which led to the actress walking out on the DJ.

Emma Watson slams skinny stars

According to , Emma Watson said she doesn't want to look like ultra thin stars such as the Olsen twins or Keira Knightley.

The 18-year-old said: "I don't think it's very pretty to be really, really, skinny. It's not inspirational at all for me. I'm lucky and I'm this size naturally. I don't diet and I don't aspire to be super skinny. I just don't think it's very pretty."

She said she enjoys food too much and can never be too thin.

She added: "Even if I wanted to be that skinny, I love food and I love cooking and I love sitting down and having nice meals, so it just wouldn't be possible for me."

John Travolta and family were expected to host a private memorial service Thursday for their son, 16-year-old Jett Travolta, at their gated-community home in central Florida.

The actor and his wife, Kelly Preston, live in a sprawling $8 million home in a luxury subdivision with its own airstrip near this small town. Jett died at the family vacation home in Grand Bahama last week.

More than a dozen reporters and photographers gathered outside the Jumbolair Aviation Estates subdivision hours before the afternoon event. They were not allowed past the main gate but caterers and companies delivering party tents and tables drove through.

A sign outside the Saddle Rock cafe in town, where Travolta often stops for a western omelet, read: "Condolences to John and Kelly."

The service for Jett is expected to adhere to the tenets of the actor's faith, Scientology, and will celebrate the teen's life.

It was unclear whether any celebrities would fly in for the funeral. Travolta, an avid pilot, bought the house because of the community airstrip and visitors can fly in and out without being seen by the paparazzi, which have staked out the area for days.

Jett Travolta had a history of seizures and was found unconscious Friday in a bathroom.

Doctors in the Bahamas performed an autopsy Monday but did not release results. A Bahamas undertaker said the teen's death certificate listed "seizure" as the cause of death. The body was cremated Monday and flown to the U.S. the same night.

The Travoltas have spoken publicly only once since their son's passing. "We are heartbroken that our time with him was so brief. We will cherish the time we had with him for the rest of our lives," Travolta and Preston said in a statement Sunday.

Tommy Davis, a spokesman for the Church of Scientology International in Los Angeles, said on CBS' "Early Show" on Thursday that he's spoken to the family and "they're doing great."

"This is a time for them and their family and their friends, and like anyone we would wish them well and hope they can be brave," Davis said.

She has a lot of things to be grateful for, among which singing at the Super Bowl or accompanying the president to Africa. The only thing she has to do from now on is to figure out a way to overcome her self in 2009.

The ceremony has a more casual atmosphere compared to TV's Emmy's or the film industry's Oscars, where black ties and ball gowns are mandatory.

The speculation is over: Taylor Lautner will get to play Jacob Black after all in the Twilight sequel New Moon.

"It was my first instinct that Taylor was, is, and should be Jacob," director Chris Weitz announced in a statement Jan. 7.

Questions had arisen about whether the 16-year-old could effectively portray his werewolf character, who ages 10 years and grows much taller and bulkier in the film's sequel. But Weitz said Lautner, who's been hitting the gym to build muscle, is "emotionally right for the part" and has the movie studio's full support.

In a recent poll, readers overwhemingly voted to keep Lautner rather than see him replaced by actor Michael Copon, 26, a rumored rival for the role.

Swayze 'may live only two years'

Actor Patrick Swayze, who has pancreatic cancer, has admitted he may survive only two years.

Speaking in his first US TV interview since he was diagnosed with the disease, the Dirty Dancing star said he was "scared" and "going through hell".

The 56-year-old refused painkillers while working on new TV drama The Beast, and missed only a day-and-a-half of the show's tough filming schedule.

He also denied being on his deathbed and "saying goodbye to people".

'Wishful thinking'

"Am I dying? Am I giving up? Am I on my death bed? Am I saying goodbye to people? No way," Swayze told TV interviewer Barbara Walters.

But the star, whose other screen credits include romantic movie Ghost, admitted that he still asks himself: "Why me?"

Swayze added that he wanted to survive long enough for a cure to be found, but said that beating the disease for five years was "pretty wishful thinking".

"I keep dreaming of a future, a future with a long and healthy life, not lived in the shadow of cancer but in the light," he said.

The actor added that people thought he was "out of his mind" to shoot the new detective series while undergoing a rigorous and experimental treatment - and without pain relief.

The Beast is due to debut on US cable channel A&E next week.

"When you're shooting you can't do drugs... 'cos it takes the edge off your brain," said Swayze.

He was diagnosed with the disease early last year, and in December issued a statement denying US tabloid reports that he was close to death.

He said that he was winning his fight against cancer and called the stories "lies and false information".

Pancreatic cancer is one of the most virulent forms of cancer which medical experts say has a 5% five-year survival rate.

Britney Spears's Twitter account hacked

miércoles, 7 de enero de 2009 |

Thanks to cyber pranksters, thousands of her fans have been informed of a strange alteration to Britney's body. Warning - she may bite.

Thanks to Twitter, people like Britney Spears can send 140-character micro-blogs (or "tweets") to their legions of fans. And thanks to hackers, these fans can be advised that Britney Spears has, um, undergone a rather radical transformation.

That is what allegedly happened yesterday, when Britney Spears's official Twitter account sent out a most peculiar message: "HI Yall! Brit Brit here, just wanted to update you all on the size of my vagina. Its about 4 feet wide with razor sharp teeth."

Within moments, the announcement had spread across the world – to the laptops, desktops and mobile phones of some 14,000 fans subscribed to Britney's tweets. Thousands of her fans learned about her alleged case of vagina dentata, disseminated by SMS, RSS and the plain old internet. The message struck a different note from the singer's usual updates. "Just took the boys to the pumpkin patch!" she boasted in October. "I think all the tiny cars [in Japan] are so cute!" she wrote in December.

It wouldn't have been the first time that Britney – or her representatives – made an unexpected disclosure via Twitter. Last year, a rep called Andrew divulged that the singer is allergic to horses. But a vagina with razor-sharp teeth? Four feet (122cm) wide?

Unsurprisingly, fans called foul. After some press enquiries, Britney Spears's social media director announced that the eyebrow-raising tweet was not some uncanny late-night confession – it was the work of a hacker.

"We did get hacked this morning," a rep called Lauren told Rolling Stone. "We apologise for any offence caused to Britney's fans and Twitter followers ... we never want to offend anyone."

The offending message has now been removed from Spears's Twitter account, and all seems back to normal. "Just heard Brit had a great time in Louisiana," reads the latest tweet. "It was super chill, with lots of working out and spending time with her whole family."
