Britney Spears' third pregnancy speculation continues

viernes, 30 de noviembre de 2007 |

A series of text messages have been photographed and appeared online that confirm that JR Rotem says he is the father in Britney's latest pregnancy.

Music producer Rotem yesterday apparently released a statement to stating that the stories concerning Spears' pregnancy were untrue, saying: "There is absolutely no truth to this."

But today 'In Touch Weekly', who broke the story yesterday, printed photos online of a series of text messages between the magazine and Rotem, appearing to corroborate their story.

Rotem's texts said "It's true" when asked about the pregnancy and a second text said "No clue on what she will do. She is unpredictable."

Spears denied that she is pregnant in a text message to KIIS FM's Ryan Seacrest via her friend Sam Lufti yesterday (November 28).

Spears currently has limited visitation rights to her two sons Sean Preston and Jayden James, who are in the custody of their father Kevin Federline.

In recent months, she's been accused of morphing into her husband with her cropped hairstyle.

Yet Katie Holmes' sleek new bob - complete with this season's must-have fringe - seems to be inspired more by her 18-month-old daughter's mop of hair than that of husband Tom Cruise.

The actress showed off her glamorous new look while attending an award ceremony in Germany to honour her spouse.

Wearing a tight-fitting shoulderless black gown and a sequined bolero, the statuesque Holmes smiled for the cameras as her and Cruise posed on the red carpet.

While Cruise's second wife Nicole Kidman joked after they separated that she could now wear high heels, the dimunitive Cruise seemed happy to let his statuesque third wife tower over him.

In recent years Holmes has transformed herself into one of Hollywood's most admired fashion icons with her effortless style.

If she doesn't owe her latest hairstyle to daughter Suri - perhaps she was attempting a hairdo which combines close friend Victoria Beckham's bob with Kate Moss's fringe?

Or maybe she's harking back to the look of tinseltown's original queen of the black bobbed look, Louise Brooks?

Cruise, who has spent most of the year filming in Germany, was being honoured at the annual Bambi Awards in Duesseldorf which pays tribute to those in the world of entertainment, literature, sport and politics.

Considered the most powerful celebrity in Hollywood, insiders say Cruise's role in film Rubicon (formerly known as Valkyrie) could finally win him the elusive Academy Award.

The World War II thriller is about a group of German officers plot to kill Hitler.

Other attendees at the star-studded event included Desperate Housewives' actress Eva Longoria, singer Rihanna and 73-year-old Italian actress Sophia Loren who surely must be the world's sexiest septuagenarian?

The Welsh singer at the centre of a television love triangle has been voted off reality show I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here.

Catatonia singer Cerys Matthews left the Australian jungle last night to find the evicted actor she had flirted with throughout the show was not there to greet her.

Marc Bannerman, who had a long-term girlfriend when he entered the jungle, was expected to fly to Australia to meet Matthews when she was voted off the show. However, after a week of turmoil, in which his partner actress Sarah Matravers left him and sold a damning story to a tabloid, Bannerman decided to remain in the UK.

This morning, Matthews told GMTV she was “surprised” Bannerman was not there to meet her when she emerged from 19 days in the jungle.

Speaking from Queensland, she told interviewer Kate Garraway: “I was a little surprised because I had a letter saying that he might come and greet me. But actually, I think it’s probably a very good idea. Things in the jungle are so intense, your emotions are really raw and I really just want to relax, see to my kids who are amazing and gorgeous and get home safely and take things real slow.”

Asked if she wanted to see Bannerman, the singer responded: “Yeah, definitely”.

Matthews went on to defend her relationship with the former EastEnders actor: “Well first of all we’re 11 people in a really intense situation. In all innocence, we were getting on really well as friends - it was me, Anna, Mark. He was friendly to everybody, he was generous, wanted to help everybody out. And the moment when our friendship was getting a little bit intense, we pulled back a little because we didn’t want hurt anybody.”

Bannerman, who was evicted a week ago, had earlier written to the singer telling her he would come back to Australia if she wanted him to.

"There are many problems in London and I've had to go back to try and sort them out - but I may well return to greet you when you come out, if that is your wish. Marc," he wrote.

She responded: "I'd love him to come out if that's what he thinks is a good idea, because he knows all the answers now."

There are now only three contestants left in the jungle. Actor Christopher Biggins, former boyband Jason “J” Brown and the woman who claims to have been the world’s first supermodel - Janice Dickinson, are competing to win tonight’s final.

Jennifer Love Hewitt Is Engaged

jueves, 29 de noviembre de 2007 |

Jennifer Love Hewitt is engaged.

The star of the CBS drama "Ghost Whisperer" got engaged to her boyfriend, Scottish actor Ross McCall last week, US Weekly reported on its Web site Wednesday.

The magazine cited Hewitt's publicist, Sarah Fuller, who said she had no details on the couple's wedding plans.

An after-hours phone message left with Fuller was not immediately returned.

Hewitt also starred in the television series "Party of Five" and "Time of Your Life." Her film credits include "I Know What You Did Last Summer," "The Tuxedo" and "Garfield."

McCall has had small parts in the TV series "Band of Brothers," "CSI:NY" and "Ghost Whisperer."

Christina Aguilera flaunts her pregnancy in an upcoming issue of Marie Claire magazine. The 26-year-old singer is shown wearing a cropped jacket, hoop earrings and a ring on the cover of the January issue, on newsstands Dec. 11. Excerpts from the story were released Wednesday.

Aguilera and her husband, Jordan Bratman, were married in 2005.

The singer says she learned she was pregnant while on her recent "Back to Basics" tour.

"We were planning on starting to try after the tour. And so, I had gone off the Pill to prepare my body, because I didn't know how much time it would take. You've heard it takes some time — except with Power Egg and Super Sperm here," she says. "... I'm like, `Oh my god, can you believe it just happened?'"

Aguilera says she became "paranoid" during the tour.

"There are so many things that could go wrong — somebody could slip, somebody could fall, I could fall," says Aguilera, who wore a heart monitor during performances. "There was no way ... I was going to jeopardize my baby for my show."

She confirmed her pregnancy earlier this month in the U.K. edition of Glamour magazine.

Aguilera says she kept the baby news quiet for her fans' sake.

"I didn't want to make the audience uncomfortable, like, `Pregnant lady onstage! Is she going to be OK?' But I had to announce it to my band and my dancers, because I wanted to make sure they had my back," she says.

She adds: "Because I hadn't said anything, people thought I was trying to keep it this big, bad secret, and that's not the case at all. I just wasn't commenting. I'm not being like, `Hey everybody, I'm pregnant!' I'm not that girl."

Cerys Matthews has confessed she's "excited" about planning her wedding to fellow 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!' contestant Marc Bannerman.

The singer - who was flirting constantly with the former 'EastEnders' actor before he was booted out of the jungle - was talking with fellow campers Anna Ryder Richardson and Christopher Biggins about planning the couple's nuptials.

Cerys said: "Don't, can you imagine? I can't let myself think that. I know it's just so exciting."

The former Catatonia star - who has two children with ex-husband Seth Riddle - then said: "I almost have to put that aside for a minute. Just concentrate on this, but have that smiling in the back of my head."

While he was in the jungle, Marc was still dating his girlfriend Sarah Matravers but the pair ended their relationship soon after he got voted out because of his flirting with Cerys.

Aroused while showering

It has now been revealed footage of Marc getting sexually aroused while showering with Cerys in the jungle was censored by TV bosses.

The 34-year-old actor got an erection while the pair cooled down together, but producers decided not to show it as they didn't want to cause Sarah any further embarrassment.

Cerys, 38, also revealed to her fellow campers how Marc had told her he was feeling randy while he was in there.

She said: "Marc felt randy. He told me. That's what he said."

Meanwhile, there was no eviction last night (27.11.07) so Cerys is left to battle to be crowned king or queen of the jungle with Biggins, Janice Dickinson, Jason 'J' Brown and Gemma Atkinson.

Usher and Tameka Foster “proud of beautiful son”

miércoles, 28 de noviembre de 2007 |

Usher and his wife Tameka Foster welcomed their son on Monday night. A rep for the couple confirmed the news and said the baby boy, named Usher Raymond V, weighed in at 7 lbs. 9 oz.

Foster gave birth to Usher Raymond in an Atlanta hospital and is expected go home on Wednesday. This is the first child for the 29-year-old rapper and the fourth child for Foster. She has three children from a previous relationship.

“We are so happy and proud of our beautiful son. What a blessing!” said the couple in a statement.

Former 'Changing Rooms' presenter Anna Ryder Richardson has become the latest contestant to be evicted from 'I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!'.

Richardson lost out in the public vote to former boyband member Jason 'J' Brown.

Speaking to hosts Ant and Dec after her eviction, Ryder Richardson said that she was "really excited" to be going home.

"I can't believe I lasted that long," she said.

When asked about former Catatonia singer Cerys Matthews and former 'EastEnders' star Marc Bannerman, Richardson said that all the duo did was "chat about pizza and films" but also said that she thought they felt quite strongly for each other.

Earlier on the show former 'Hollyoaks' star Gemma Atkinson and Brown won three meals for the camp in the 'Bushtucker Trial' called 'Terror Train', where they went through a dark tunnel and were bombarded with cockroaches, ants, meal worms and eel slime.

There was consternation later in the camp when the contestants were given a crocodile to cook.

In a two-hour finale that kept the suspense right through until the end, the fifth “Dancing With the Stars” season ender crowned the Indy car race driver and the pro dancer king and queen of the dance floor. It was the second back-to-back win for Hough who danced her way to the championship in season four with Olympian speed skater Apolo Anton Ohno…maybe it’s got something to do with guys that like to go fast in sporting events.

Shortly after Celine Dion sang her Oscar-winning “Titanic” tune “My Heart Will Go On,” we learned that third place would go to Marie Osmond for her freestyle routine. Even she admitted to the judges that ending up third overall was better than she thought would happen.

After return appearances and dances from eliminated contestants Josie Maran and Jennie Garth, and a retrospective of what’s been happening on “DWTS” this season, the final two contestants were brought on the stage. First to dance was Spice Girl member Mel Brown and her Latin dance partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy who turned in a riveting Mambo dance that wowed the audience and judges alike. For their final dance of the season the twosome scored a perfect 30!

Then it was Helio and Julianne’s turn. The fiery duo delivered the goods with a Quickstep dance that also amazed the audience and their critics. The judges showered the dancers with accolades and then delivered their verdict: another perfect 30!

In the end it came down to one single point difference between Helio/Julianne and Mel/Maksin. When he was asked what he will do with his latest award Castronevenes replied “It will look so good between my two Indy 500 trophies.” Next up for the champ is another big event: he will be marrying fiancé Ali Vasquez come January. At least his bride-to-be knows that Helio has had lots of practice for the dancing portion of their wedding party.

“Dancing With the Stars” will return in the spring with an all-new line-up of celebs and their professional dance partners. This season the show has been capturing ratings of over 20 million viewers for ABC making it one of the power-houses of television.

Miss Puerto Rico: Sabotage?

Well, you've heard Ingrid Marie Rivera's story that she broke out into hives at the Miss Puerto Rico pageant because her makeup, evening gown and bathing suit were sabotaged.

She claims it was probably pepper spray, while skeptics say that she was just having a nervous reaction, that there was no sabotage.

What do you think -- did one or some of her competitors try to knock her out of the pageant? Did she make the whole thing up as a publicity stunt? Or was this all just a simple misunderstanding?

Regardless, Miss Rivera will be competing next year at the Miss Universe pageant in Vietnam, where she will presumably have a more stringent security retinue (her clothes, bag and credit card were also stolen during the pageant).

I think it's safe to say that she could find a few guys in the studio and here in the control room who would volunteer to keep her safe in Vietnam.

I'm A Celebrity - Anna Ryder Richardson is next to go

martes, 27 de noviembre de 2007 |

After 16 nights in the Australian jungle, home makeover star Anna Ryder Richardson has become the latest camper to be booted off I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!

The former Changing Rooms presenter found herself in the bottom two alongside former 5ive singer Jason "J" Brown.

But she wasn't too disheartened upon hearing her name though, hugging her fellow contestants and smiling. She later told Ant and Dec that she was really excited to be leaving camp.

"I can`t believe I lasted that long," she said.

Referring to the night she spent in the "pit" with panto star Christopher Biggins to win the group a cooked breakfast, Ant and Dec told her about the 200 rats which were surrounding her.

"You are joking," she said. "All for eggs and bacon? Am I mad?"

Anna also earlier walked across a plank above a ravine to receive a video message from home.

Yesterday was a big day for “Dancing With The Stars.” They’re in the final round of the season, and the Spice Girls also happened to drop by to support their bandmate Melanie Brown.

Emma Bunton, Melanie Chisholm, Victoria Beckham, and Geri Halliwell all showed up in a black Cadillac Escalade to cheer Brown on.

And it’s looking good for Scary Spice. She emerged with the highest score last night, making her the frontrunner for tonight’s finale.

Brown’s partner, professional dancer Maksim Chmerkovskiy, has praised her highly for her improvement over the season. He told press, “She went from somebody who just had rhythm ... to having the guts to come out and do this. She was one of my prize students.”

Lindsay Lohan is having group therapy with her family in a bid to help the actress beat her demons.

The Mean Girls starlet joined her parents and sister to discuss her problems in New York last week.

An insider told a US newspaper: “The Lohan family sat down for a therapy session in Manhattan together. “They are all trying to work things out together, and they know they have a long way to go.”

Mum Dina, her father Michael and little sister Ali, 13, all attended the session. But younger brother, 11-year-old Dakota, was allowed to sit it out.

The group therapy is thought to be part of Lindsay’s outpatient rehabilitation program. Lohan spent 84 minutes in jail earlier this month after admitting to drunken driving and cocaine possession. The charges stemmed from arrests following an alleged car chase in July, and a crash in Beverley Hills in May.

She recently finished a second stint in a rehabilitation centre in Utah, after admitting she had a drink and drugs problem in August. “It is clear to me that my life has become completely unmanageable because I am addicted to alcohol and drugs,” the star said in a statement at the time.

It comes as Lohan, 21, spent the US Thanksgiving holiday weekend in her native Long Island, New York with her family - and new boyfriend, Riley Giles.

But according to US reports snowboarder Giles, whom the actress met in rehab, spent more time partying than with her family, while she avoided nightclubs.

A pal said: “Lindsay is trying to fill her time with non-drinking and non-partying activities. “Riley was not very well behaved when he came back to New York with Lindsay. He was out every night without her, and I’m not sure how much longer that relationship is going to last.”

A spokeswoman for Lohan was unavailable for comment.

Actress Tiffany Dupont has allegedly claimed she had sex with Tom Cruise and George Clooney this year. Dupont, who is known for her role in ‘One Night with the King,’ sent and e-mail to Perez Hilton claiming she slept with both men to boost her career.

“I want to let you know a little secret that I don’t care to keep anymore. I actually slept with Tom Cruise and George Clooney. I had sex with both of them this past year,” says Dupont in her e-mail. “The way I did it was that I actually offered myself to them when I got a chance to meet them hoping that would boost my acting career.”

Cruise is happily married to actress Katie Holmes, and Clooney is currently dating Sarah Larson.

Dupont currently stars in the ABC TV series ‘Greek.’

'Dancing With the Stars' finalists prepare for biggest test

lunes, 26 de noviembre de 2007 |

Any sports championship would love to have the dueling-dynasties, anybody's-guess atmosphere going into the Dancing With the Stars finals tonight. In its fifth season, the drama and the conspiracy theories have been flying almost as fast as the dancers.

With a field that seemed stacked in the women's favor, many fans were convinced early on that the producers were determined to ensure a female winner after a run of male champs. But that theory was upended when the season's No. 1 ringer, Sabrina Bryan – a member of the song-and-dance pop group Cheetah Girls whom some message-board wags had dubbed "Cheater Girl" – was abruptly eliminated in midseason. Melanie Brown, a.k.a. Scary Spice, is now the banner-bearer of the Ringer Theory, but anyone who's ever seen a Spice Girls' video or performance knows that calling Mel B. a professional dancer based on her Spice Girls' experience is a bit of a stretch.

But all this has only served to feed the debate among fans of the show; namely, is Dancing With the Stars a dance competition among celebrities of varying popularity, or a popularity contest among celebrities with varying dance skills? Throughout the season, outcomes have supported either side of the argument.

On the dance-purist side, there is the surprising rise of Helio Castroneves, an Indy 500 champ with zero star status outside the racing world who has danced and charmed his way into the finals, and the unexpected fall of soap opera star Cameron Mathison who, despite his daytime-TV following, got voted off going into the semifinals. On the popularity-contest side, there is the continuing presence of Marie Osmond. As a dancer, she's a great celebrity. But week after week she's remained.

So who will win, and what will that say about the show? Will it be the ringer, proving the fix was in, or the inspired amateur? Will it be the best dancer or the most beloved star? We'll all know on Tuesday night.

Exciting episode of Becks and the city

David Beckham can stop a city in its tracks, but for a few seconds yesterday it was an Australian icon that stopped Beckham in his.

A man who has seen, done and endorsed most things in a global lifestyle was rendered speechless for a few moments as his private launch drifted towards and under the Harbour Bridge.

It was a rare moment of surprise and spontaneity for a man whose entire existence is commoditised. There is no respite from his lifestyle; almost any move he makes outside his own home is photographed, filmed, pored over.

There's a part of his life that would send most of us mad within days -- a retinue of advisers who co-ordinate every second. The remarkable thing is that the calmest person in the mayhem at the centre of it all.

Barely able to draw breath after an intensive training session under new LA Galaxy coach Ruud Gullit, Beckham is spirited away to a launch at Homebush Wharf. A shower is laid on, sandwiches gulped, and another round of interviews begins as the boat takes him toward another sponsor event.

The move to Los Angeles starts to make sense as he discusses his change of life, uprooting his family to play in a league not known for its high quality -- in fact, it's barely known.

What it does make him, though, is another celebrity in a city where they are on every corner.

"I wouldn't say it's a normal life but it's a bit easier as there are so many famous people around in LA, doing things every day," said Beckham, who is in Sydney for tonight's LA Galaxy-Sydney FC exhibition match at Telstra Stadium.

"So it does give a certain amount of extra privacy."

"I do go out and buy a pint of milk," he said of the suggestion that was the mark of a "normal" life. "It's just never without being followed.

"But (being in LA) means we're putting the kids in a situation now, where at the moment, they're really happy, they're loving the lifestyle over there and the school they're in -- and Victoria's happy. It's just been so frustrating on the football side because I've been injured so much and not able to play. But apart from that it's genuinely been great."

Beckham was keen to praise the standard of soccer here, and generous with his assessment of the Socceroos at the World Cup.

He spent part of the afternoon in a kicking contest with footballers from three other codes -- rugby league's Mark Gasnier, union's Matt Giteau and Collingwood's Dale Thomas -- and it confirmed his impression of Australian sport.

"We, as a nation in England, know there are many talented Australian footballers. Obviously there are the ones that play in the Premiership," he said. "They're viewed very highly. Tim Cahill, for instance, has done really well at Everton. He scores a lot of goals and is a very talented player.

"(Everton midfielder) Phil Neville is a good friend of mine and he speaks very, very highly of him.

"But I think Australia as a nation is always passionate and driven by a desire to win things, so we knew (what the Socceroos achieved) was possible from that team.

"It lifted the entire nation. That's what football does. It does it in our country as well. When you win big games, it lifts everybody's mood."

Beckham would like one day to return to Australia with his family and said he had been made to feel welcome. "The support I've had so far . . . has been amazing, even the fans outside the hotel," he said.

Having "more time" in his life means when he finally hangs up the adidas boots he has worn for years, the sponsor for whom he is doing this interview.

He has often ruled out management -- instead he has a passion for bringing children into the game. And that doesn't exclude his own.

"I'll always be involved in football in some way. Obviously there's my soccer academies. That's the big thing I'll be doing once I stop playing," he said.

"That and other charity work. Being ambassador of UNICEF is a huge thing, a huge honour and I want to do much more of that.

"Without a doubt, I'd love my boys to go into football and if they do, then great. But if they don't, then I'm still going to support them as much as I can in whatever they wish to do. Mind you, they already love football."

With the most famous footballer of all as a father, that's not a great surprise. And David Beckham knows that under all the hype, the game is what underpins it all.

For if you ask him to describe himself, the response is simple. "Passionate -- passionate and dedicated," he said. "And a footballer."

Ingrid Rivera became Puerto Rico’s Miss Universe contestant despite someone dousing her gown with pepper spray and spiking her makeup. Beauty pageant organizers are investigating who is responsible for vandalizing Rivera’s things.

Rivera was composed in front of judges, but had to apply ice bags to her body once she was able to go back stage. Her skin swelled and she broke out in hives twice. Rivera’s bag with her credit cards, makeup and gowns was also stolen.

“We thought at first it was an allergic reaction, or maybe nerves. But the second time, we knew it couldn’t have been a coincidence,” said pageant spokesperson Harold Rosario.

A bomb threat was also received, causing the last day of the pageant to be cancelled.

Rivera's clothing and makeup later tested positive for pepper spray. Pageant officials say the police are not involved in the investigation and they are conducting it themselves.

Britney Spears dating LA waiter

viernes, 23 de noviembre de 2007 |

Pop singer Britney Spears is reportedly dating waiter Michael Marchand, who works at an exclusive restaurant in Los Angeles.

According to reports, the singer met Marchand at the Mirabelle restaurant, where Spears often dines.

Sources claimed that the pair ate at the restaurant together on Wednesday night.

"Michael came in a little after midnight, and she came in right after wearing black and dark glasses. They were being discreet," the source said.

According to Life and Style Weekly magazine, a source also said: "Their chemistry was immediate. He's very attracted to her. They're always texting each other."

Zara Phillips' plunging dress

Britain's Zara Phillips caused a stir at a charity ball by showing off her ample bosom in a very low-cut dress on Wednesday (21.11.07).

The 26-year-old royal accessorised her figure-hugging blue Robert Cavalli dress with a cowboy hat and boots for the Red Cross Ball at London's The Room By The River venue.

Zara was accompanied to the Honky Tonk Blues themed bash by her rugby star fiancé Mike Tindall, who donned a western bootlace tie, jacket and black hat for the event.

While the royal may have drawn some disapproving looks for her risqué dress, Mike, 29, did not seem to have any complaints, and the pair openly kissed and canoodled at their table.

A source said: "They couldn't keep their hands off each other and they didn't care who saw. Mike looked very proud to have such a good-looking woman on his arm."

Other guests at the ball included Girls Aloud singers Kimberley Walsh and Cheryl Cole and actress Joan Collins.

Meanwhile, it has been confirmed Zara will receive her Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) at London's Buckingham Palace next Wednesday (28.11.07).

The sports star - who was voted the 2006 BBC Sports Personality of the Year - will be presented with the honour for her services to equestrianism after she won both the European and world eventing titles last year.

Louis Vuitton wins suit against Britney Spears' label

jueves, 22 de noviembre de 2007 |

French luxury goods company Louis Vuitton has won a lawsuit against Britney Spears.

Vuitton filed suit against the pop star for showing a pink Vuitton-upholstered dashboard in her music video for 'Do Something'.

The video shows Spears driving in a pink Hummer and tapping her fingers on a dashboard that resembles Vuitton's 'Cherry Blossoms' design.

A Paris civil court ordered Sony BMG and MTV Online to stop broadcasting or marketing the video and fined them 80,000 euros apiece, reports the Associated Press. They were also found guilty of violating counterfeiting laws.

Spears herself was not fined or found guilty.

‘I’m a Celebrity’ star Gemma Atkinson has revealed the secret of her perfectly toned body In an interview with Closer Magazine, she admitted: “I’m a gym freak. I train five days a week and eat little and often.” She added: “I’ll also snack on Ryvita or chocolate to perk me up.”

Gemma will find it difficult keeping to her strict health regime in the jungle. She’s already admitted she’s worried she’ll end up a ‘gaunt skeleton’ on the contestant’s strict diet of beans and rice.

No doubt she’ll fill up on all her favourites when she returns to England. She told Closer: “My weakness is my Gran’s macaroni cheese.”

Meanwhile, Gemma, 23, who has previously dated Wigan Athletic footballer Marcus Bent, has revealed that she’s confessed that boyfriends dump her because she’s not affectionate.

“I’m told in every relationship that I’m not affectionate,’ she admitted to jungle pal John Burton-Race.

‘The guys always says I don’t give enough. I don’t even put a kiss on a text message. I don’t tell him what he means to me.’

However, Gemma insisted that she does care about the men in her life, she just can’t find a way of showing it.

‘Although I feel it, I struggle to show it,’ she says. ‘And every relationship I have been in has broken down for that reason.’

But John did offer some advice to Gemma– telling her there wasn’t much she could about it.

‘If it’s not in your make up,’ he advised, ‘there’s nothing you can change.’

Cerys Matthews and Marc Bannerman are getting so close she has started feeding him and tucking him into bed.

The Welsh singer and ex EastEnders actor have been flirting for days in the Australian jungle on ITV’s I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.

Matthews hinted to Anna Ryder Richardson that she was worried about how their relationship was being perceived. But the designer said: “He’s just a very good friend. You’ve not done anything. “He is just a very good friend forever.”

Meanwhile a close friend of the singer has appeared on GMTV to defend her actions. Sarah Gowland dismissed the romance as a close friendship.

She told GMTV: “I think they are great friends and it’s nice to see she’s got a good friend in there for support. “She is a very friendly person. I think she is doing a great job. I don’t think she knows he (Bannerman) has a girlfriend, as he hasn’t actually spoken to Cerys about it.”The family are really proud of her. She is coming across really well.”

She added that she would “maybe” like to see the pair get together, if he was single.

Bannerman’s girlfriend Sarah Matravers has flown to Australia to confront him over his behaviour. Matthews, Bannerman and Ryder Richardson had some time out from the campsite when they took part in the Bush Battle.

Tied to a post, they were forced to hold onto a pole for as long as possible - or risk being covered in vomit-scented gunk. Matthews was the first to let go, before Bannerman gave in leaving Ryder Richardson immune from eviction.

It was a day of drama for the campers as ex-footballer Rodney Marsh slipped while out collecting logs for the fire, injuring his knee.

He spent a night in hospital but was soon back in camp enjoying being looked after by his fellow contestants. Supermodel Janice Dickinson and Five star J had the ride of their life during the Uneasy Rider bushtucker trial.

The pair had to drive a motorbike 100ft over a ravine and bash down stars. “I’m not good at driving,” admitted Dickinson so J took to the wheel and they managed to secure ten out of eleven stars. “I just really loved it. I really enjoyed it,” J said afterwards.

The cheeky pair pretended they had come back empty-handed before admitting they had won ten meals for camp.

Brad Pitt leaves State of Play movie

Actor Brad Pitt has pulled out of political thriller State of Play because of script concerns, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Universal confirmed the actor had left but it remained "committed to this project", the trade paper reported.

Pitt was due to appear alongside Dame Helen Mirren and Ed Norton as an investigative journalist in the movie, based on a BBC drama series.

The script cannot be worked on because of the writers' strike.

The film will be directed by Kevin Macdonald, who also directed The Last King of Scotland.

State of Play is about a team of journalists investigating the mysterious death of a political researcher.

The BBC TV original won a best actor Bafta for Bill Nighy, who played newspaper editor Cameron Foster, and further editing and sound honours.

Pitt was set to play Cal McCaffrey, portrayed by John Simm in the TV version.

Shameless writer Paul Abbott penned the original TV script but it has been adapted for the big screen by Matthew Michael Carnahan, who wrote Lions for Lambs, starring Tom Cruise and Meryl Streep.

The two-week-old twins of actor Dennis Quaid were recovering in a Los Angeles hospital on Wednesday after mistakenly being given a massive overdose of a blood thinning drug.

Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, one of the United States' leading hospitals, apologized on Wednesday for what it called the "preventable error" that led to the twins and another unidentified child being given 10,000 units of the anti-coagulant Heparin, instead of the normal 10 units given to babies.

The Quaid twins, Thomas Boone and Zoe Grace, were born via a surrogate mother on November 8.

A publicist for Quaid and his wife Kimberley Buffington said the couple "appreciate everyone's thoughts and prayers, and hope they can maintain their privacy during this difficult time."

Quaid, who starred in "The Parent Trap" and "The Rookie", married Buffington in 2004 after his marriage to actress Meg Ryan broke up.

Dr Michael Langberg, chief medical officer at Cedars-Sinai, said in a statement that the three patients were recovering without any apparent ill effects after being treated with a drug that reverses the effects of Heparin.

According to celebrity Web site, the babies started to "bleed out" on Sunday after being given the overdose of Heparin which had been stored by a technician in the wrong place. Heparin is used to clean out IV tubes and prevent blood clots.

Langberg said the overdose was a result of human error by the hospital staff. Investigations are being conducted by both the hospital and by Los Angeles health authorities.

"This was a preventable error, involving a failure to follow our standard policies and procedures, and there is no excuse for that to occur at Cedars-Sinai. Although it appears at this point that there was no harm to any patient, we take this situation very seriously," Langberg said.

Spears 'lost her virginity at 14'

miércoles, 21 de noviembre de 2007 |

A US lawyer claims Britney Spears' squeaky clean teenage image was all a facade, that she lost her virginity as a 14-year-old and that she and Justin Timberlake were intimate from the beginning.

Lawyer Eric Ervin, who worked with ditzy Brit as a teenager, told Us Weekly magazine this week that the "virgin" image she portrayed was a "PR blitz".

In fact, Us Weekly reports in its latest issue that Brit was 14 when she had sex with her then boyfriend Reg Jones.

The magazine also reveals how Britney's paternal grandmother committed suicide at age 31 in 1986.

On the musical side of things, luxury goods maker Louis Vuitton has won a lawsuit accusing Brit of violating counterfeiting laws by showcasing a pink Vuitton-upholstered dashboard in a music video.

A Paris civil court had ordered Sony BMG and MTV Online to stop broadcasting or marketing the video for Do Something in any form, and fined them $80,000 ($133,000) each, a spokeswoman for Paris-based Louis Vuitton said.

George Clooney has leapt to the defence of Britney Spears over her recent red light running incident.

Spears was being pursued by paparazzi in Los Angeles when she drove through the red light while texting on her mobile phone.

In a video of the incident the paps can be heard shouting “Red Light! Red Light!” but Spears ignored the warnings and drove on through.

Clooney however says the incident was all the fault of the photographers chasing her who he says are a massive distraction while driving.

He told Entertainment Tonight: "You look at the footage of Britney running the red light - there's eight guys with cameras at night in the middle of the street.

"There are no rules now. It's getting to a point where people that are not involved are getting hurt."

Mary-Kate Olsen, one-half of the acting Olsen twins who gained fame on 1990s television show "Full House," has been hospitalized in New York City for a kidney infection, her representative said on Tuesday.

"She is resting comfortably and will be released in the next day or so," her spokeswoman Nicole Caruso said in an e-mail to Reuters. Further details were not disclosed.

Olsen, 21, and her twin sister Ashley became well-known on TV, but earned a huge following among young girls in a series of DVDs and videos with titles such as "The Adventures of Mary-Kate & Ashley: The Case of Shark Encounter" and "You're invited to Mary-Kate & Ashley's Fashion Party".

As young adults, they acted in TV movies and launched fashion lines, and their lives became fodder for the tabloid press. Mary-Kate recently was seen on TV comedy "Weeds," and a movie in which she play a part, "The Wackness", is due in theaters next year.

Hospital apologizes for heparin overdoses

An official at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles apologized for the error that led to several patients receiving overdoses of an anti-coagulant. reported Tuesday that the newborn twins of actor Dennis Quaid and his wife, Kimberly, were listed in stable condition after they were mistakenly given massive doses of the anti-coagulant last weekend.

The report said both infants, born Nov. 8, started to "bleed out" Sunday night and were transferred to the neo-natal intensive care unit.

While the hospital didn't mention Quaid's children specifically, it released a statement apologizing for what it called a "preventable error," reported.

"I want to extend my deepest apologies to the families who were affected by this situation, and we will continue to work with them on any concerns or questions they may have," said Dr. Michael L. Langberg, the hospital's chief medical officer. "This was a preventable error, involving a failure to follow our standard policies and procedures, and there is no excuse for that to occur at Cedars-Sinai. Although it appears at this point that there was no harm to any patient, we take this situation very seriously."

I´m A Celebrity - Marc´s Relationship Over

martes, 20 de noviembre de 2007 |

Marc’s heartbroken girlfriend, or ex now, Sarah Matravers is set to enter the jungle, where she will be forced to confront Marc and his new romance – Cerys.

During Sarah’s journey to Australia, Marc and Cerys shared their first kiss together, which Sarah, understandably, is furious about. It’s the thing she could not forgive her partner of two years for.

Sarah has stated that their relationship is now finished.

The 34 year old former EastEnders star, Marc Bannerman, was shown flirting all last week with the Catatonia singer, Cerys, we also watched as they snuggled and got cozy together.

Sarah said “I’ll fly home alone, change the locks, cut up his clothes, throw all his stuff out and never speak to him again. I have my dignity.” - According to the sun.

In an emotional chat, actress Sarah told the sun: “My life is on hold right now – I want to throttle him, I want to cut off his kangaroo balls. Marc and I live together and we have a proper life together, so of course I’m worried. “I made a big joke out of it at the beginning of the week but this has gone on long enough. It’s upsetting. I hear they’ve been sharing quite a lot. “She’s been serenading him and I hear he sang, There May Be Trouble Ahead – well there might be now.”

Sarah, who has been with Marc for two years, said she was sure he would stay faithful. She said: “Before Marc entered the jungle, he told the Press: ‘I’m not looking for love. I’m loved-up with my girlfriend.’ I have been reading that quote over and over.” But the pair have had a rocky relationship — he ended up in court in March 2006 charged with assaulting her. The case was later dropped.

Paris sex tape hits the Internet

lunes, 19 de noviembre de 2007 |

Paris Hilton’s racy past has caught up with her once again, this time in the form of a new sex tape that has been making the rounds of the internet.

In this one, the hotel heiress is seen naked taking bubble bath.

In the video, she swims around the huge bath and soaks herself with a shower head, reports The Sun.

The clip is believed to have been found earlier this year in a storage vault after Hilton forgot to pay the rent.

The footage was then released on the net by a website called, although Hilton obtained a temporary injunction against them.

Now, the video has resurfaced on YouTube, with stronger versions available on American websites.

Britney can't drive with kids

Britney Spears has been told to stop driving with her kids in the car, a gossip Web site reported.

Los Angeles County Superior Court Commissioner Scott Gordon issued the sealed order during a custody hearing Friday, reported.

It came after a lawyer for Kevin Federline, Spears' former husband, submitted as evidence TMZ's video showing her running a red light as the couple's two young sons rode in the back seat.

''I can't tell you what was discussed," the lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, said after the hearing. "I can't tell you what was in the papers, I can't even tell you what was in the order."

An unidentified witness who had been subpoenaed also appeared briefly at Friday's court hearing. His testimony was postponed.

The case is due back in court Nov. 26.

Paparazzo ‘pursued’ Kidman

Kidman feared for her life on at least two occasions, in which Fawcett pursued her across her hometown.

Hollywood actress Nicole Kidman told a Sydney Court that she and her husband Urban were followed by paparazzo Jamie Fawcett during their honeymoon and last year’s Christmas.

Kidman told the court of being "really, really scared" when she was pursued by a local paparazzo while being driven around Sydney, quoted.

She said her driver, John Manning, told her they were being followed by photographer Jamie Fawcett and another car.

"He said that they were driving crazy and that they had run red lights and jumped the median strip," the website quoted her saying to the court.

Fairfax media, publisher the Sun-Herald newspaper, which is contesting a NSW Supreme Court finding that a January 2005 article defamed Fawcett had asked the actress to present evidence against the photographer.

Her father, Dr Antony Kidman, and her publicist Wendy Day, have told the court previously that Kidman feared for her life on at least two occasions, in which Fawcett pursued her across her hometown.

Ex-EastEnder's partner flies out to Australia to confront them

Sarah Matravers is so furious about boyfriend Marc Bannerman's outrageous flirting with Cerys Mathews on I'm A Celeb, she's flying out to Australia.

The seething 33-year-old wants to have it out with Cerys 36 – who last night snuggled up with Marc, 34, in a hammock – and has branded her a home-wrecker.

'I want to march into the jungle, haul her out and say, “He's mine, get off,”' she fumes.

'What the hell does Cerys think she's doing? She's going all out to flirt with Marc and she knows he has a girlfriend.

'It isn't Marc the love-rat, it's Cerys the home-wrecker.'

And Sarah - who's jetting off to the jungle today - says if anything does happen between the pair she'll waste no time in throwing him out.

'The first hint of a snog and that's it,' she tells the Sunday Mirror

'I'll fly home alone, change the locks, cut up his clothes, throw all his stuff out and never speak to him again. I have my dignity.'

Hayden responds to Japanese arrest warrant

viernes, 16 de noviembre de 2007 |

An arrest warrant has reportedly been issued in Japan for “Heroes” star Hayden Panettiere over her dolphin-saving attempt last month in the country, but the actress appears to have no fear.

In a statement released Thursday afternoon to Access Hollywood, Hayden branded the arrest warrant “defensive.”

“Obviously this issue has generated defensive behavior on the part of both the Japanese Authorities and Fishermen,” she said in the statement. “I have grown up hearing - and adhering to - this phrase: ‘condemnation without investigation dooms one to everlasting ignorance.’

Lindsay in and out of Lockup

Lindsay Lohan has done her time—all 84 minutes of it.

The recently rehabbed starlet checked in to Paris Hilton's old haunt, the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, California, at 10:30 a.m. Thursday.

She was out by 11:54 a.m., says Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department spokesman Steve Whitmore.

"She was cooperative," Whitmore said. He also denied that Lohan got any favorable treatment, saying it is typical for misdemeanor offenders to serve a fraction of their jail time.

As it was, inmate 1059383 was sentenced to one day in jail after working out a plea deal to drunken-driving and cocaine charges stemming from dual DUI arrests earlier this year.

Aside from her day trip to county, the 21-year-old actress was placed on three years' probation and ordered to perform 10 days of community service, complete drug treatment and attend an 18-month alcohol-education program. She was also forbidden from associating with drug users.

She was given until Jan. 18 to wrap up the jail term, drug treatment and community service.

Last month, she completed an extended sojourn at the Cirque Lodge in Utah and returned to work, shooting the tango-powered film Dare to Love Me. This week, she has been fulfilling her community service requirement by working at an American Red Cross donor center near Los Angeles.

Lohan's 84 minutes in lockup falls just short of what is believed to be the celebrity inmate record of 82 minutes logged by Nicole Richie in August. But Lohan's turnaround time easily trumps ex-Lost player Michelle Rodriguez 's four hours, 27 minutes last year. Hilton, who faced a stricter initial sentence of 45 days, wound up spending 23 of them at Century Regional.

By comparison, it took moviegoers 105 minutes to suffer through all of Lohan's last movie, I Know Who Killed Me.

Kyla Ebbert Poses For Playboy

Kyla Ebbert, the young woman who was asked to cover up her attire on a Southwest Airlines flight, is now posing for Playboy Magazine.

Ebbert, who had on a short skirt, appears in a photo shoot called "Legs in the Air". Some of the pictures are nude, while others are of her in lingerie.

The story of her flight experience made national news and Ebbert was upset that Southwest made light of it. The airline tried to turn the dustup to its advantage by promoting a fare sale in honor of miniskirts. Southwest apologized to Ebbert, but she still thinks the gesture was unacceptable.

Playboy contacted Ebbert’s attorney to pitch the idea of posing for photos. After discussing it with her boyfriend and family, she was convinced to do it.

Ebbert currently works at a Hooter's restaurant in San Diego, but aspires to be a lawyer, something she thinks should not be deterred due to her naked pictures.

Milana Dravnel the women who took compromising photographs of Oscar De la Hoya wearing women's underwear, says she will sue the boxer after the incident ruined her reputation.

Dravnel, 22, filed the lawsuit in New York today, asking $100 million alleging, among other charges, defamation and infliction of emotional distress.

The lawsuit claims she was having an affair with the boxer that lasted over a year when she look the photos now widely spread on the Internet. Dravnel sold the pictures to a website in September for $70,000.

In the lawsuit Dravnel claims that De La Hoya's lawyer Stephen Espinoza, persuaded and threatened her to deny the photo's legitimacy publicly, resulting in a media smear and ruined her name and modeling career.

Matt Damon named 'Sexiest Man Alive'

jueves, 15 de noviembre de 2007 |

Matt Damon has topped a poll to find the sexiest man alive.

The actor saw off competition from Brad Pitt, Johnny Depp and Grey's Anatomy star Patrick Dempsey to take the spot in the People magazine survey.

Damon, whose career has seen a major upturn with his starring role in the Bourne trilogy, joked: "You've given an ageing suburban dad the ego boost of a lifetime!"

People writer Ericka Souter said: "Matt wrote us a letter turning down the position when we first decided he was the winner. But it actually backfired because the letter showed everything we liked about him - including his irresistible sense of humour, his dedication to his family, and his heart-melting humility."

He added: "He eventually gave in, and also gave us permission to print the letter in our latest issue."

Atonement actor James McAvoy made his first appearance in the list, but last year's winner George Clooney failed to make the top 14. Last year, Damon vowed to steal the crown from his close friend, saying: "I'm going to get a war chest going and save my money. George said I was close this year but I ran out of money for my campaign, which is why he won."

Ryan Reynolds, Will Smith, Javier Bardem and Brothers and Sisters star Dave Annable also feature in the poll, along with soap actor Shemar Moore, Ben Affleck, Adrian Grenier, Justin Timberlake and Bionic Woman's Will Yun Lee.

Glamour girl gets wet on I'm A Celebrity

Gemma Atkinson stripped down to her bikini last night as temperatures in the Aussie jungle soared.

The I'm A Celebrity contestant got her kit off for an all-over body wash. She frolicked in a freshwater creek near camp with fellow contestant Cerys Matthews, who flaunted her own assets in a skimpy red bikini.

But male fans may be disappointed – the ex-Hollyoaks actress has vowed not to get naked on camera.

Meanwhile, acid-tongued Janice Dickinson failed the latest Bushtucker Trial against chef John Burton Race, 50.

The supermodel, 52, refused to eat crocodile penis for the task.

But brave John wolfed it down to win his team a luxury meal.

Gascoigne given driving ban over crash

Bianca Gascoigne has been banned from driving for 17 months after crashing her car while drunk.

The Celebrity Love Island winner drove her new Mercedes into a Honda Civic in September after celebrating her mum Sheryl's 43rd birthday in Hemel Hempstead.

Police later traced her to a hotel bar where she collapsed and was taken to Watford General Hospital to be treated for minor injuries. A blood test revealed that she was nearly twice the legal alcohol limit, Watford magistrates heard.

An officer had asked if the wrecked Mercedes belonged to her, to which she had responded: "Yeah, babe. My mum is going to pick me up. I have just called her."

Gascoigne, of Hemel Hempstead, pleaded guilty to drink driving and was banned for 17 months, fined £600 and ordered to pay £102 costs.

When asked how she would pay, the 21-year-old turned to her mother in the public gallery, saying: "Can I borrow your card mum?" Her mother agreed.

Gascoigne agreed to complete a drink driving course which will reduce her ban by four months.

From Spice Girls Blog

Hi everyone,

I’m currently sat in our rehearsal studio and I am about to have another fitting with the Cavalli team for our costumes. The other girls will kill me if I give anything away and I don’t want to ruin any surprises… but they look amazing! Roberto and his team have done us proud.

Rehearsals are going really well, I can’t believe that there are only a few weeks until the first show in Vancouver. It’s really scary but exciting at the same time. David and the boys have been laughing at me because I’ve been wandering around the house listening to my iPod and practising the routines. We are including some parts of the old routines but bringing them up to date a bit.

All of the kids have been down to rehearsals. We have an area where they all hang out… its a Spice creche! My boys are so excited about the tour, they can't wait and I'm really looking forward to them seeing me up on stage. I just hope I don't get over emotional when I see them!

Ugly Betty was shown over here in the US on Friday, I had such a laugh filming it. If you’re in the UK then you will be able to see the episode on Channel 4 at 9pm on Friday 23 November.

This week is a really busy one for us because not only are we rehearsing for the tour but we are going to be performing at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show on Thursday. Friday is BBC Children In Need day in the UK and we will performing from LA. We will be doing two songs, our new single Headlines (Friendship Never Ends) and also Stop – which is going to look fantastic. I can’t give too much away but it’s definitely going to be worth watching.

We’ve just had a break for lunch and now we’re going to rehearse with our band… and I'm holding things up to write this blog so I'd better go soon!

Finally, a big thank you to everyone who has been out to buy a copy of our Greatest Hits, we hope you enjoy it

Lots of love

Britney Courted for Red-Light Run

miércoles, 14 de noviembre de 2007 |

Sean Preston and Jayden James might not have to wait until nursery school to learn the ins and outs of the old playground favorite Red Light, Green Light.

At the behest of Kevin Federline's attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, an emergency hearing has been scheduled for Friday to further probe Britney Spears' decision to run a red light Thursday while her visiting children were in the car, rather than wait out the 60 seconds with the paparazzi, who inevitably captured the whole thing on film.

Kaplan told E! News on Monday that he was reviewing the footage to determine whether to call for a hearing.

Spears' camp, predictably, didn't believe the video necessarily showed the "Gimme More" warber was a lousy motorist.

"Ms. Spears was being mobbed by paparazzi at the time," Spears' attorney Sorrell Trope told People. "She was distracted. This was not blatant irresponsible driving on her part."

Meanwhile, neither Trope nor Kaplan had any further information about Spears' latest drug tests in light of recent published reports that one came back with a false positive.

During a hearing last Thursday, Spears' legal camp stated that the Blackout artist had showed up for 10 tests and passed every one, while Kaplan maintained that she only made herself available for 6 out of 14 requested tests.

Spears attorney Anne Kiley also suggested that her client be allowed six hours to present herself after the court calls for her to be tested, but Los Angeles Superior Court Commissioner Scott M. Gordon said that the current one-hour prep time would remain in place.

And now, there's this vehicular infraction.

Several paparazzi agencies on Friday published video and still images of Spears making a turn into oncoming traffic—possibly while texting. The apparent infraction came hours after the custody hearing and while Spears' court-appointed monitor was in the car.

Gordon was already scheduled to rule Nov. 26 on a request from Kaplan that the 25-year-old multitasker be prohibited from chauffeuring her sons, and this latest alleged development can only add more fuel to the privilege-slashing fire.

Court documents released Nov. 1 showed that the main reason Spears lost custody of two-year-old Sean and year-old Jayden on Oct. 1 was that she had been driving them around while lacking a valid California driver's license.

Hannah Montana Fans Suit Themselves

Next week on Discovery Channel, "When Hannah Montana Fans Attack…"

A possible class-action lawsuit filed Tuesday against the Miley Cyrus Fan Club alleges that the lure of club membership in exchange for a better shot at concert tickets is entirely bogus.

Tickets for Cyrus' 54-date Best of Both Worlds tour sold out within minutes starting in August, sending desperate wannabe concertgoers—and scalpers—to the Internet, where sellers were asking for as much as $2,000 a pop for $63 seats.

According to court documents filed on behalf of New Jersey resident Kerry Inman in U.S. District Court in Nashville, Interactive Media Marketing Inc. and Smiley Miley Inc. couldn't back up the promise of easier concert access in exchange for an annual $29.95 membership fee.

The suit claims that tens of thousands of people like Inman could possibly join the suit, based on the popularity of the club's official Website, Inman states that she tried to get tickets to an Atlantic City show right when tickets went on sale, but came up empty-handed.

"They deceptively lured thousands of individuals into purchasing memberships, based on the understanding that by joining, they would be able to purchase tickets before they were offered for sale to the general public, and that's why we're suing," Inman's attorney, Rob Peirce, said in a statement. Peirce is based in Pittsburgh but filed the suit in Tennessee, where the defendants operate.

"While the club and the Web site do not guarantee ticket availability, they explicitly state that members who log on shortly after tickets become available will have a good opportunity to get tickets," Peirce said. "In reality, the vast majority of club members, including those who logged on at the appointed time or shortly thereafter, were unable to obtain concert tickets."

Meanwhile, Cyrus' camp is calling the suit "frivolous" and defending the advantages of becoming an official Miley fan.

"The MileyWorld Web site expressly states that MileyWorld does not guarantee every member a concert ticket," read a statement released by the 14-year-old singer's publicist, Meghan Prophet, who added that 70,000 concertgoers did in fact get hooked up through the club.

"MileyWorld members had far greater access to concert tickets than the general public and other fan clubs, and the claim that the vast majority of MileyWorld members were unable to obtain concert tickets is simply false," Prophet said. "MileyWorld will vigorously defend itself from the frivolous claims in the lawsuit."

Either way, the defendants should have been more careful in promising an edge when it came to tickets, according to the suit.

The Website does not guarantee tickets, the suit admits, but implies that members who log on right when tickets go on sale will have a good chance of snaring some.

The National Association of Ticket Brokers backed up Prophet's statement, telling MTV News that a large number of tickets were reserved for the fan club. In Missouri, for instance, 7,000 out of 11,000 seats for sale for a concert at Kansas City's Spring Center went to club members, according to NATB.

Which left 4,000 tickets for the general public and about 7,500 for…? (Spring Center seats 18,500.)

Attorney generals in Missouri and Arkansas weren't too pleased with the numbers, either, and promptly launched investigations into a handful of online ticket sellers' seemingly shady tactics.

Cyrus' tour kicked off Oct. 18 in St. Louis and has been playing to obviously sold-out crowds ever since. The daughter of country singer and Hannah Montana costar Billy Ray Cyrus spends half of each concert styled up like her blonde alter-ego and the rest in Miley mode.

Seems like enough to drive a teenager—and now her fans—positively mad.

Raging Janice Threatens To Cut Off Lynne's Boobs, Fry Them Up And Eat Them

FIERY Janice Dickinson has claimed she wanted to stab I'm a Celebrity rival Lynne Franks.

The former model and TV presenter fell out with Lynne, the PR guru who inspired Absolutely Fabulous, over who would try to persuade Malcolm McLaren to stay in the jungle.

And while the Sex Pistols' former manager branded the show "fake" as he walked out, the bad feeling between Janice, 52, and Lynne, 59, appears all too real.

Their next big blow-out came over cooking the dinner on their first night in camp.

Janice stunned former boyband member Jason "J" Brown by telling him: "I'm going to stab her (Lynne) in the middle of the night. You don't think I'm kidding, I'll eat her t***. I'll fry up those big old boobs."

J replied: "You two have got to have a fight and sort it out. You're both going at each other and winding each other up."

Earlier, J and Hollyoaks actress Gemma Atkinson looked exhausted after sitting through a non-stop bicker-fest between Janice and Lynne as they cooked dinner.

Janice called Lynne a freak and a shrew, while Lynne said she didn't care.

The row started on the first night in the Australian rainforest after Lynne suggested they save some food for the following evening.

Janice said: "I don't mind you suggesting things Lynne, but can I have an opinion over here about what I stick in my gob?"

Moments later, as the pair were cooking, Lynne had a go at Janice for the way she put the vegetables into the pot.

Later, the pair appeared to have kissed and made up although as the series wears on, that could change.

Janice's fearsome reputation took a bit of a knock in the first Bushtucker Trial of the series when she went up against actor Marc Bannerman and cried: "I'm A Celebrity ...Get Me Out Of Here!"

The contestants have been split into two camps, Croc Creek and Snake Rock, and will compete for who gets proper food supplies.

Janice and Marc were both strapped to giant wooden cog wheels above a little railway line.

Carriages containing eels, fish guts, meal worms stopped underneath them and they had to collect stars from within the nasty contents.

But Snake Rock were left starving after Janice failed to win any stars.

Victorious Marc said: "I'd have had to hang my head in shame had I gone back without a meal."

Croc Creek - Marc, interior designer Anna Ryder Richardson, ex-footballer Rodney Marsh, singer Cerys Matthews and chef John Burton Race - were terrified on their way into the jungle after having to bungee jump out of a helicopter.

The ordeal left Anna in tears. The Snake Rock camp, Janice, Gemma, Lynne and J, successfully made their way into jungle first by helicopter and then by kayak.

Don't you love it when even the "celebrities" don't know who each other are? The brilliant thing this series is no one knows who anyone is. Mind you it's no indicator of stardom - even showbiz legends like Michael Barrymore can be hard for the youth of today to recognise (didn't Chantelle think he was Tom Hanks or something?) When Katie arrived at Brat Camp (Snake Rock, do try to keep up), Lynne quietly ID'd her for Janice: “She was in The Apprentice…she was highly competitive.”

Other stuff you missed, or saw, included the Rock gang forfeiting their dinner as punishment for breaking into the chest and eating chocolate biscuits. Lynne suggested that they should share the four meals, but Gemma ever-dlplomatic pointed out: “We knew that would backfire when we did it.”

Then Janice, who I'm liking more and more with each passing minute, said, “I didn’t know. Okay, if the games are going to begin, I’m taking off my mic in a moratorium." The games? In a moratorium?!! Man, it's like Saw IV. Except harder to watch.

Silicon Valley's richest bachelor is getting married next month.

Google Inc. co-founder Larry Page, whose stake in the Internet search leader is worth about $20 billion, and Lucy Southworth are tying the knot in a ceremony scheduled for the weekend of Dec. 8, according to a report published Tuesday in the San Francisco Chronicle.

Page, 34, is following in the footsteps of Google's other founder, Sergey Brin, who married Anne Wojcicki six months ago in an exclusive ceremony in the Caribbean. The location of Southworth's and Page's wedding was not disclosed.

After Brin's wedding, Mountain View-based Google invested $3.9 million in Wojcicki's biotechnology startup, 23andMe Inc.

Southworth was a biomedical informatics doctoral student at Stanford University, where both Page and Brin were studying as graduate students before leaving to start Google in 1998. Page has been dating Southworth for more than a year.

The invitation list to Page's wedding is expected to include many of Google's current and former employees, as well San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom and billionaire Richard Branson, founder of the Virgin Group.

Former Vice President Al Gore, a senior adviser at Google, told the Chronicle he has been invited to the wedding but won't be able to make it because he will be picking up the Nobel Peace Prize at a ceremony in Oslo, Norway. He said he still hopes to make an appearance through video conferencing.

Owen Wilson dating supermodel Le Call

The Wedding Crashers star, who has been spotted enjoying the company of the blonde beauty several times in the last week, is said to be smitten with Le.

Owen and Le were first seen taking a yoga class at Bikram Yoha in SoHo last week, then spotted enjoyed a cycle ride around New York. The couple also attended a private dinner for British artist Damien Hirst at Lever House on Saturday.

Now she's got her first country album coming out, so now she's been conveniently introduced to Owen, who is a fellow Texan. Better yet, the public is sympathetic to him."

Owen and Jessica first met on the set of a Willie Nelson music video last month.

In August, Owen was rushed to hospital with slashed wrists following a reported suicide attempt.

The 38-year-old star was said to be heartbroken following his split from actress Kate Hudson in June.

Britney Spears' troubles never end

martes, 13 de noviembre de 2007 |

A lawyer for Kevin Federline is considering calling for an emergency hearing regarding Britney Spears running a red light with their children in the car, according to media reports Tuesday.

Mark Vincent Kaplan, the lawyer, also said that Spears has failed to follow drug-testing procedures, missing eight of 14 drug tests.

Spears was recently chastised by Los Angeles Superior Court Commissioner Scott Gordon for not making herself readily available for the tests.

And there's more bad news for Spears. It was claimed one of her test results came back positive last week by a US website

During a hearing Thursday, Spears' legal camp stated that she has showed up for 10 tests and passed every one, and insisted that Spears is innocent of any illegal drug allegations.

A source close to the star said, "The only thing that comes on the results are the prescriptions, that the court doctor prescribed.

"There has been no illegal drugs or even alcohol in any of the test results."

Spears and Federline married in October 2004 and divorced this July. Federline has temporary custody of their kids Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1.

Federline has primary custody. Spears can have one overnight visit and two daytime visits a week. A court-appointed parenting coach, a childproofed home and car restraints were asked.

Lindsay Lohan Begins Community Service

Lindsay Lohan takes a break outside the American Red Cross the day she started her community service.

Lindsay Lohan began her community service as part of the plea deal for her two DUI convictions last August, a source confirms to PEOPLE.

The actress was spotted at an American Red Cross blood services facility in an L.A. suburb Monday. Arriving at noon, she was greeted by staff in the parking lot before walking into the building. When she left the facility around 7 p.m., she carried a book sparsely titled BLOOD.

Although the actress, 21, was sentenced to the mandatory minimum of four days in jail for her second DUI conviction, prosecutors agreed she could serve 10 days of community service in lieu of two days behind bars.

Lohan was also given credit for one day served from her July arrest, leaving a remainder of 24 hours in jail. She has until January to complete that portion of her sentence.

The actress – who recently finished a lengthy rehab stint at the Cirque Lodge in Utah – was also placed on three years probation and must complete an 18-month alcohol education program.

Beowulf violence 'shocked' Jolie

Actress Angelina Jolie has said she is surprised her latest movie Beowulf has received a 12A certificate in the UK.

"It's remarkable it has the rating it has," she told reporters at its British premiere. "It's quite an extraordinary film, and some of it shocked me."

Based on the ancient English poem, Robert Zemeckis's film uses hi-tech computer animation for its titular hero's battles with ogres and dragons.

Jolie, though, said it was not "graphic for the sake of being graphic".

"I think it's beautifully done," the 32-year-old added. "It's amazing, and very creative."

The actress, who provides the voice for a shape-shifting demon in the film, arrived at the premiere in London's Leicester Square with partner Brad Pitt.

According to the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC), no one younger than 12 may see a 12A film in a cinema unless accompanied by an adult.

Jolie, however, said she would not be taking her own children to see the film.

Also in attendance were her fellow voice stars Ray Winstone, Crispin Glover and Sir Anthony Hopkins, who said he had made his King Hrothgar character Welsh "just for the fun of it".

Winstone, who provides Beowulf's voice in the film, had high praise for Jolie, calling her "a lovely kisser and a lovely woman".

olie returned the compliment, describing her British colleague as "amazing". "I want to do something else with him soon because he's so much fun," she said.

Wizened hag

Using a similar technique to that used in Zemeckis's 2004 film The Polar Express, Beowulf employs a process dubbed "digitally enhanced live-action".

The actors' performances were filmed on a "black box" sound stage, then used as reference footage for computerised 3-D animation.

Jolie's character was a wizened hag in the original poem, but is here presented as a sultry, slinky temptress.

"I knew they were going to try to make her a little sexy," the actress told the BBC's Emma Jones. "I wasn't going to be just a lizard."

Beowulf opens in the UK and US on Friday.

Kanye West's mom dies after cosmetic surgery

Hip-hop superstar Kanye West was mourning the death of his beloved mom Monday night, who died after cosmetic surgery that at least one doctor told her could be dangerous.

Sources say Donda West, 58, received a combination breast reduction and tummy tuck and likely suffered uncontrolled bleeding after going home to recover from the radical operation.

One plastic surgeon who saw Donda West in June said he recommended she first get a cardiac stress test from an internist because of her age. He said she also asked if she could recuperate at home. He said no.

"Donda was pushing me, 'Can I go home after surgery?' But I told her it just doesn't work that way," said Dr. Andre Aboolian of Beverly Hills. "The most dangerous time after surgery is the first 48 hours. I told her you have to go to an overnight care facility with nurses who look after you."

Aboolian called West a "sweet" woman who almost talked herself out of the procedure during their conversation.

"She said she didn't deserve to have this done. She kept asking, 'Do I really need this?'" he recalled. "It's not like she was being vain. It was heavy on her body."

West, a former chairwoman of the English Department at Chicago State University, died at 8:29p.m. Saturday at Centinela Freeman Regional Medical Center in Marina Del Rey, Calif.

"She was brought by paramedics to our emergency room on Saturday evening. She was in full arrest when she arrived," a hospital spokeswoman said. "She had a cosmetic surgery, but not at our hospital."

The Los Angeles County Coroner plans an autopsy by tomorrow, said LAPD Lt. Fred Corral. "We're looking at possible complications of surgery."

A spokesman for Kanye West, the top-selling singer and producer, said the family "asks for privacy during this time of grief."

Death from cosmetic surgery is relatively rare, occurring in just one of 51,459 operations, according to the journal Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

"If, for God's sake, the surgeon tells you it's too risky, don't find someone who will do it for you," said Dr. Richard D'Amico, president of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.

Britney Spears in trouble again

lunes, 12 de noviembre de 2007 |

'Toxic' pop diva Britney Spears is in trouble again -- this time she has been caught on camera committing another traffic offence in the US. Spears jumped a red signal while talking on her mobile with her sons asleep in the back of her vehicle as she drove through Los Angeles, the media reported on Monday.

Her court-appointed child monitor was photographed ducking in the front seat of her car to avoid being snapped. It may be mentioned that recently Spears' former husband Kevin Federline had asked a court to ban her from driving the boys over alleged missed drug tests.

Lindsay Lohan is all set for a come back

It seems like actress Lindsay Lohan is set to make a return to showbusiness, with a role in hit US series ‘Ugly Betty’.

The ‘Mean Girls’ star is reportedly playing the role of a fallen beauty queen who is forced to work at a fast food restaurant after falling behind with her rent.

"Betty tries to help Lindsay's character by getting her a job at Mode, the fashion magazine where she works on the show," the Sun quoted a show insider, as saying.

However, the production of the series has stopped because its writers joined the WGA strike this week.

Meanwhile, the actress was spotted shopping in West Hollywood.

For High School Musical 3 to have a big time box office take it will have to have all of the main players. That means Gabriella, Troy and Sharpay (that would be Vanessa Hudgens and boyfriend Zac Efron plus Ashley Tisdale) all would have to be back at east High. That seemed like it might be in doubt earlier when Vanessa wound up as a screensaver for teen boys everywhere with her full frontal photo.

But one can guess that Disney get it and they will have all of them back - right? There have been sever erroneous reports that Vanessa was fired from HSM3, but now the reports have shifted and LA Canyon News claims the threesome are all signed on the dotted line.

I'm not so sure that all of the deals are actually done but there is no way that one little nude photo from Vanessa will derail this juggernaut franchise. It's not like it was wild Paris Hilton type home video - it was a pretty innocent photo (see link below) that was supposed to be a private photo for Zac.

Now Efron has been snapped with a HSM3 script. A Socialite's Life has the photo proof here and reports it this way: "This is interesting. While Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Tisdale have both signed on for "High School Musical 3," Zac Efron has not. So do these pictures of Zac only a few mere feet away from a HSM3 script spell jazz hands once again for Zac? I'm thinking someone will be signing on the dotted line very soon, once he's assured of a hefty salary bump."
