Alexa Chung saved from lunging fan

Alexa Chung was left in a bit of an awkward situation last night.

The presenter was leaving Bungalow 8 nightclub, after attending Pixie Geldof’s Christmas party, when an eager fan lunged at her.

Luckily, boyfriend Alex Turner was there to rescue his damsel in distress, taking the tongue-wielding villain down in one swift move.

Alexa, who looked uncomfortable throughout the scene, carried on walking - leaving her man to deal with the situation.

Also attending Pixie's, who had a bright pink wig on, bash was Josh Hartnett, Nick Grimshaw, Kimberly Stewart, The Sugababes and Remi Nicole.
