Monk star Stanley Kamel has passed away, aged 65.
The actor, who played Adrian Monk's psychiatrist in the hit US detective drama series, died at his Hollywood Hills home on Tuesday.
He was found at his property after suffering a suspected heart attack by his agents and friends Donna Massetti and Marilyn Szatmary.
Kamel's TV credits include roles in Melrose Place, Cagney & Lacey, Beverly Hills 90210 and Murder One.
Born in New Jersey in 1943, Kamel found his big break playing Eric Peters in NBC drama Days of Our Lives in the '70s.
He is survived by two brothers, Stephen and Robert.
