Barron Hilton Pleads Guilty To DUI

Paris and Nicky Hilton's little bro, Barron Hilton, pleaded no contest to a DUI charge stemming from his February arrest in Malibu, when a police officer pulled him over after he was spotted driving "erratically."

The 18-year-old hotel heir, who wasn't required to appear in court on Wednesday as his attorney entered the plea on his behalf, was sentenced to three years' probation, ordered to visit a morgue, pay $2,000 in fees and attend two alcohol education classes, a spokesman for the District Attorney's Office said.

Two other misdemeanor charges, a second DUI count and a count of being an unlicensed driver, were dismissed. Barron, who was also in possession of a fake ID, has also lost his driving privileges for a year. He is due back in court on June 4th for a restitution hearing for the gas station employee's car he reportedly wrecked.

The youngest Hilton was taken into custody on February 12 and jailed for about 9 hours before being released from the Malibu/Lost Hills sheriff's station after posting a $20,000 bail.

The young man was driving a black Mercedes with a passenger when he was pulled over. Another driver apparently noticed him drive erratically; when Barron stopped, the fellow motorist had him sit on a bus bench until deputies arrived. According to police reports, Barron failed a field sobriety test and his blood-alcohol level was .14 percent.

Hopefully, Barron learned his lesson and will refrain from driving, unlike his 26-year-old sister, Paris, who spent three weeks in jail last year, after breaking the terms of her probation stemming from her own DUI arrest in September 2006.
