Jackson brother plans move to UK

Tito Jackson, brother of pop star Michael Jackson, is planning to buy a house in Devon where the Jackson Five may stay when visiting the UK.

Tito, a judge on the BBC One TV show Just The Two Of Us, viewed properties in Barnstaple at the weekend and has already put in offers.

Friend of the family Matt Fiddes said the Jacksons favoured Devon over California because it is more private.

He told BBC Radio 5 Live: "They don't have the media attention."

"They can move around a bit easier than what they can in other towns," he added.

Fiddes said "the laid back people" also appealed to Tito and confirmed Michael too had visited the area.

"Michael's been here a few times on public and private visits, and various other family members. They just like the countryside, it's a bit different to California and what they're used to," he said.

He added that Tito wanted his property location kept secret from the media.

"Tito wants somewhere where he can record and not be bothered by everyone and have fans on his doorstep and media every time something happens in the news about the Jacksons," he said.

"So we're looking for a big manor house and country mansions and things. There's a few they like in particular and offers have been put down.

"Tito's hoping to be living here with us by the end of April and if hasn't found anywhere suitable by then he'll be living at my house," he added.

In November Jermaine Jackson announced the Jackson Five were planning to reunite for a tour, with Michael taking part as well.
