Britney Spears wants to marry paparazzo Adnan Ghalib

Britney Spears plans to be her photographer boyfriend's bride.

She's fallen in love with Birmingham-born Adnan Ghalib, 35, and is even prepared to convert to Islam so that they can marry.

'We're taking care of each other. He's the only one who understands me,' she's reported to have announced. 'It's serious.'

Adnan's family are said to be horrified.

The snapper - who is believed to be separated from his American wife - wooed Britters by being the perfect gentleman when she was distressed.

'Adnan would make a careful show of putting down his camera to help her with bags or into a car,' a source tells the News Of The World.

'Over time she grew to trust him, and all the while he was giving her his card and even sending flowers.'

There is speculation about the professional snapper's motives for getting involved with the troubled star but one relative believes he is now desperate to save her from suicide.

'He may really have feelings for her,' he insists. 'Adnan said they were talking about the future together and had a spiritual bond.'

Britney decided to wear the white lacy dress she wore to wed Kevin Federline to go shopping for cars last week.

'They came in to get an estimate for a new car for him,' a salesman tells People.com. 'He drives a rental car now. ... He was looking into the different lease and purchase options for sport cars.'

Tomorrow Britney faces another custody hearing to decided if she will be able to see her sons - Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1.
