Troubled singer Amy Winehouse was admitted to rehab again last night in a bid to beat her drug addiction.
Her record label, Universal, said the move was by mutual agreement after talks between Winehouse, her management, family and doctors.
'She has come to understand that she requires specialist treatment to continue her ongoing recovery from drug addiction,' a statement from the label said.
'She has now been given complete freedom to take as long as she needs to get better.
'Universal wants nothing more than to see her take the time she needs to come back to full health and fulfil her incredible potential,' the label added.
The announcement comes days after the Back To Black star was caught on video apparently smoking crack cocaine. It marked a new low for the 24-year-old, who is also battling addiction to heroin.
Earlier on Thursday her father, Mitch Winehouse, said the family had considered having her sectioned under the Mental Health Act.
But the authorities said it was not possible because the singer was not a danger to herself.
'You might consider taking drugs is a danger to herself, but unfortunately the authorities don't,' he said.
Winehouse still plans to attend the Grammy Awards on February 10, for which she has notched up six nominations. This is not the first time Winehouse has entered rehab, having made three failed visits in the past year.
