Big Brother 9 contestants Lisa Appleton and Sara Folino have offset the pain of being nominated for eviction by sharing a £50,000 prize.
Housemates on the Channel 4 reality show were forced to announce their nominations in front of each other as Big Brother announced an eviction 'face-off'.
But after being picked to face the public vote, Sara and Lisa had a smile on their face after winning £50,000 in a game of jeopardy entitled The Prisoner's Dilemma.
The pair were handed the chance to share the money or take the jackpot individually, but were permitted to lie during the game in order to win the money.
After discussing their decision, Sara said: "I will choose to share. Think the world of you Lisa, you know that."
Lisa replied: "I wouldn't want to do anything different. You have been my best buddy on the show."
Having both told the truth, they each revealed a block labelled "share" and were awarded £25,000 each.
Both are still eligible for the £100,000 grand prize if they avoid eviction on Friday.
Meanwhile, Ofcom and Channel 4 received more than 1,500 complaints about Darnell Swallow and Rex Newmark's bullying of Sara.
Darnell called the Australian an "ugly b***h" and both he and Rex have been warned by Big Brother that their behaviour is unacceptable and could result in their being kicked off the show.
