Three more on Big Brother 9 as Jennifer goes

Three women have become the latest contestants to join Big Brother, while part-time model Jennifer Clark was evicted from Channel 4's reality show.

Among the newcomers was Sara, a 27-year-old from London who is described as a "sexy executive PA".

She was joined by theatre director Belinda, who is 44, has two children and comes from Exeter, and Maysoon, a 28-year-old model from Hertfordshire.

Housemate Jennifer received 90% of votes in the public eviction poll.

She had been up against Rex Newmark in this week's vote.

When the result was announced, Rex threw his arm in the air before walking away as the remaining contestants hugged Jennifer.

She was then booed by the crowd as she left the house. Asked later for her reaction to the public's response, she replied: "I don't feel anything.

"I wasn't expecting to come here and be loved or hated. I wasn't expecting anything."

However, she added: "It does feel hard because you think, 'What have I done?'"

She said there had been silence in the house when the eviction result was announced because "the other housemates didn't think it was going to be me. They were so convinced it was Rex".

The new contestants were introduced following the removal of housemates Alexandra De-Gale and Dennis McHugh.

Dennis was told to leave last week after allegedly spitting in the face of fellow housemate Mohamed during a row.

Alexandra was kicked off the show a week earlier after allegedly threatening other contestants with punishment from "gangster friends".

Overnight figures suggest an average of 3.6m viewers watched each of the two Big Brother programmes on Channel 4 on Friday night.
