Britney Spears and Kevin Federline are finally doing their best in order for their children to get to see both of them. The ex-couple has finally reached a child custody settlement.

Britney Spears and Kevin Federline’s custody settlement was signed Friday. This means that their custody battle has finally ended.

According to the deal agreed by Los Angeles Superior Court Commissioner Scott Gordon on Friday, the pop singer will raise her child support payments to Kevin Federline, having to pay $20,000 a month. Spears also has to pay for her ex-husband’s lawyer, a bill of about $250,000. The child support increase went into effect on July 15.

The deal made last weeks says that Kevin Federline has sole custody of Preston, 2 ½, and Jayden, 1 ½. Britney Spears can get to see her children two times a week and she can also spend one night on a week with them. The new deal will allow the singer to spend another night a week by the year’s end, in the case that things keep getting better.

“She’s thrilled. To have more time with her kids has been her motivation to get well. In light of her outstanding conservatorship, she couldn't have asked for anything more,” Britney Spears’ attorney Laura Wasser told People magazine.

Apparently Kevin Federline is also glad that they reached a settlement.

“This has been a long ordeal [for Kevin] and for it to be over makes him very happy,” his lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan said.

The pop star lost custody of her children in October last year, after she didn’t show up at a random drug testing. In addition to that, Spears lost her rights of visiting Preston and Jayden, making Kevin Federline receive full custody of the two children.

Even if the singer has had many downs this year, it seems that things are getting better for her and she has started to solve the problems in her life. The most important thing is the fact that the children will finally get some time with both their parents.
