Kate Middleton being encouraged to find a career before marriage

Kate Middleton is reportedly looking to get a job as an art gallery after the Queen expressed concern about her lack of career.

Kate quit her four-day-a-week job as an assistant buyer at clothing chain Jigsaw last year but a Royal source told the People newspaper: “The Queen is aware of the possible damage to the monarchy’s image of Kate being pictured shopping or coming out of Boujis nightclub.

“She cannot carry on simply drifting around London waiting for William to propose.

“It is not considered appropriate in the 21st century for Kate to merely sit around waiting for William.”

Kate met Prince William while studying for a history of art degree at St Andrews University and is said to have lined up meetings with curators at leading galleries and museums across Europe about getting into the field.

The source added: “She enjoyed her degree and is determined to put it to good use. Curators are not highly paid but that is not the most important thing to the daughter of multi-millionaires and the potential wife of a future king.”

William turned 26 this weekend and Kate, who has previously been rumoured to be planning a career in photography, was spotted taking photos of the birthday boy and his friends at a polo match on Saturday.
