Prince William Gets Wings As Kate Middleton Looks On

Prince William was given his RAF wings yesterday, in front of his girlfriend Kate Middleton and step-mum Camilla.

His father, Prince Charles also attended the military ceremony - but as the UK's Air Chief Marshal he was there to actually present the badge of honour.

Middleton’s attendance was her first official engagement with the Prince since he graduated from Sandhurst officer college in December 2006, since which their relationship has subjected to intense speculation.

William, when asked whether he enjoyed his training course, answered, "Yes thanks, brilliant," whilst one of his fellow airmen paid tribute to his efforts/

Flight Lieutenant Simon Berry tells the Mirror, “He socialised with everyone. He was just a normal bloke and very sociable.

"He was working really hard, flying in the morning, coming down and doing two hours of flight school and then working all hours in the evenings like everyone else.”
