McFadden hits out at "disgusting" Katona

Brian McFadden has claimed that Kerry Katona has put him through "hell" by smearing his name in the press.

The singer branded his ex-wife "disgusting" after she blamed his family for the premature birth of her latest child, Max.

The former couple's two girls, Molly and Lilly-Sue, stayed with Brian and his fiancée Delta Goodrem in Australia over Easter. McFadden's mother Mairead then chose to let the children stay on with her for a few days extra before returning them to Katona and her husband Mark Croft.

Mairead's decision sparked a furious reaction from Katona. A report claimed that Kerry feared she would "never see her girls again" and that her anxiety led to Max's early arrival.

However, Brian has now hit back by calling on Kerry, who smoked and drank alcohol throughout her pregnancy, to take responsibility for her own actions.

"Kerry is a disgusting human being. She manipulates people and plays the sympathy card for every stupid mistake she makes," Brian told the News of the World. "Me and my family have been put through hell by her stupid games.

"She uses my two girls as a weapon in her childish games. She is an embarrassment to me, my family and my children."
