Prince Albert of Monaco will reportedly marry his girlfriend Charlene Wittstock this summer

Albert and South African Charlene, who have been dating since 2006, are said to be busy preparing for their big day, which will take place some time in September.

French magazine Point de Vue reports: "While the exact date is not yet fixed, two sources confirm that preparations are underway for a royal wedding at the end of the summer."

Albert and Charlene, a former Olympic swimmer, were first spotted together at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin.

Albert, who will turn 50 on Friday (14.03.08), previously had the reputation of being a bachelor unwilling to settle down, enjoying flings with stars including models Claudia Schiffer and Naomi Campbell, and actress Brooke Shields.

Albert has a four-year-old son Alexandre, from a relationship with flight attendant Nicole Coste, and a 16-year-old daughter Jazmin from his brief relationship with Californian woman Tamara Rotolo.
