U.S. Rejects Amy Winehouse's Visa

Just in case you needed one more reason not to watch the Grammys, here it is: Amy Winehouse won't perform at the ceremony.

Winehouse, who was scheduled to make a live appearance at the self-congratulatory award ceremony for the American music industry, won't be able to set foot in the States after U.S. Immigration officials rejected her visa. And although the exact reasons for her visa denial weren't revealed by her publicist or government officials (hint: she has a bit of a drug problem), her camp issued a statement saying the singer looks forward to the opportunity to score some horse in America, too.

CBS is still trying to shovel Winehouse into its awards ceremony, which, due to the writers' strike, is quickly unraveling. She may appear on the telecast via a satellite linkup to London.

Maybe things will turn out better for Winehouse this time she's filmed. After a British newspaper ran video of her allegedly smoking crack, Winehouse checked into a a rehab clinic. The police also showed enough interest in the tape to start an investigation.
