Britney Spears a little better

Watch out, folks, Britney Spears could be coming to a Starbucks near you! Fresh from her hospital stay, Brit – who was pictured looking cleanly scrubbed and relatively demure out on a shopping trip with mum Lynne – is now planning to take her act on the road.

However, we’re not sure if this means promoting her new album Blackout, or driving aimlessly around the backstreets of Budapest sporting a pink wig in a frantic but fruitless search for a Taco Bell.

‘Britney will be leaving the country in the next few weeks, after training in privacy for a month,’ said one insider. ‘She is planning a world tour.’

Britney’s shopping trip was taken as a sign that the Toxic singer is firmly back in the family fold as mum Lynne and dad Jamie, who divorced in 2002, pulled together for their daughter’s sake.

‘Britney was in a great mood, trying things on her mom picked out,’ said one eyewitness who watched her peruse the aisles of Melrose Avenue’s Miss Sixty store.

Britney, 26, finally picked out a selection of new tops and a pair of jeans, though Lynne helped veto her more risqué choices, saying one outfit was ‘way too see-through’!

Meanwhile her dad Jamie has battled to keep Brit’s mysterious ‘manager’ Sam Lutfi – who the family blame for many of her woes – at bay.

It seems the Spears clan are warming to her Brummie paparazzo boyfriend Adnan Ghalib, who was allowed to pay her a visit.

Despite their initial suspicions, Adnan has so far been supportive of his girlfriend and appears to have made a good impression on her family.

Who knows? Maybe when Brit jets off on her round-the-world jaunt, she’ll pop into Birmingham for a balti with her potential future British in-laws?
