Ashley Cole burst into tears over Cheryl

Ashley Cole burst into tears as he begged his wife Cheryl for forgiveness this week, according to a report.

The Chelsea star was "so relieved" when Girls Aloud singer Cheryl returned to their home in Oxshott, Surrey, to speak about the future of their marriage.

Ashley and Cheryl's relationship hit the rocks last month following allegations that the footballer had been unfaithful with single mum Aimee Walton.

"Ashley was so relieved when Cheryl walked through the door. He is not the sort to cry, but he could not contain his emotions when he saw his beautiful wife," a source told The Mirror. "He told her how much he'd missed her, explained how sorry he was and said he'd learned his lesson.

"He blurted out that he couldn't live without her and just wanted his 'wifey' back, and he will never hurt her again."

Though Cheryl has reportedly decided to give Ashley another chance, she has since flew back out to Los Angeles to complete work on a Girls Aloud ITV2 special.
