Media scrutiny over the marriage of Ashley and Cheryl Cole continued amid further allegations of infidelity on the part of the Chelsea and England footballer.
The Sunday Mirror claimed Cole cheated on his pop star wife with a second woman - glamour model Brooke Healy - following an earlier claim by 22-year-old Aimee Walton that he had indulged in a boozy romp with her.
But in an interview with the News of the World, the Girls Aloud star dismissed allegations that her husband had sex with Miss Walton, adding that she would not let the woman "destroy her marriage".
News of the alleged tryst between Cole and Miss Walton was revealed on Friday.
The 22-year-old hairdresser claims that on December 8 after a heavy drinking session, Ashley Cole had sex with her, breaking off the love-making only to be sick.
In the News of the World interview, the singer said: "That's utter rubbish. I know that for a fact. I know Ashley intimately. When he is under the influence he isn't capable."
She admitted to rowing with her husband over the drunken encounter following which Cole told her that he was too drunk to remember what happened.
But she denied that she kicked her husband out after the news broke, as some newspapers have reported.
A separate report in the Sunday Mirror suggests that England player Cole may have more explaining to do to his wife. It claims that Ashley Cole had sex with 23-year-old Miss Healy in December 2006 - just five months after his wedding.
The newspaper printed allegations that Ms Healy was then paid £6,000 to keep quiet over the encounter.
