Calvin Klein backs Eva Mendes

Fashion house Calvin Klein has pledged its support to its newest spokesperson Eva Mendes - despite her recent entry into a U.S. rehab facility.

The actress was unveiled as the new face of Calvin Klein Fragrances last month (Jan08) - on the same day she was admitted to Cirque Lodge amid reports she is battling substance abuse issues.
In a press announcement released Monday (4Feb08) - but prepared before the 33-year-old checked into the Utah centre - the firm says Eva "embodies the sexy, provocative essence of the Calvin Klein brand and we are thrilled that she will be the newest iconic beauty to represent Calvin Klein Fragrances".

A spokesperson for the firm tells TMZ.com, "We support Eva during this difficult time and respect her decision to seek professional help." A perfume ad campaign featuring the Cuban beauty is slated to launch later this year (08).
